PoliticsJonathan Finally Reveals Nigeria’s Worth Before Handing Over To Buhari by impactinfluence(op): 4:37am On Jul 04, 2016
Former president Goodluck Jonathan has
revealed the state in which he handed over the
Nigerian economy to President Muhammadu
Buhari.
The former president stated that the Nigerian
economy was the largest in Africa and worth a
GDP of $574 billion as at when he handed over
noting that he assumed office when the nation
was only worth $270.5 billion in GDP and the
second largest economy in Africa.
Jonathan also noted that in 2009 when he
assumed office, Aliko dangote was the fifth
richest man in Africa but had risen to be the
Richest in 2005 before he handed over to
Buhari.
While addressing other pressing issuues,
Jonathan said: “the campaigns leading to the
elections almost polarized the country into
Christian versus Muslims and North versus South
divide. Most world leaders were worried that our
elections will result into major crisis. Some
pundits even from here in the United States said
that those elections would spell the end of
Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a
nation because of the polls.
“That is where the leadership question comes
into play. As a leader that was duly elected by
the people, I considered the people’s interest
first. How do I manage my people to avoid
killings and destruction of properties? With the
interest of the people propelling all the decisions
I took, we were able to sail through.
“Indeed, we sail through because I refused to
interfere with the independence of the
Independent National Electoral Commission,
INEC, having appointed a man I had never met
in my life to run it. My philosophy was simple.
For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must
value the process more than the product of the
process. And the citizens must have confidence
in the electoral body.
“This rule of the law of process ensured that
Nigeria’s peace, prosperity and progress was not
derailed by the conduct and results of the 2015
elections and I am proud to say that while I took
over a Nigeria that was the second largest
economy in Africa with a GDP of $270.5 billion in
2009, I handed over a Nigeria that had grown to
become the largest economy in Africa and the
24th largest economy in the world with a GDP of
$574 billion.”
He said he inherited a Nigeria in which the trains
were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in
which citizens can safely travel by trains again,
adding that
He further stated: “I inherited a Nigeria that was
a net importer of cement, and handed over a
Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement. In 2009
the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in
Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that
produced the richest man in Africa.
“These are but a few of the parameters that
illustrate some of the economic transformations
we engineered during my term in office. This
was made possible by the fact that there was a
stable political leadership in Nigeria that did not
have to pander to any other constituency except
the electorate who brought me to power. And
these actions have a contagious effect.”

Coming on the heels of the just-concluded
BREXIT which is still generating reactions and
counter-reactions across the world, the
unjustified beheading of King Charles 1 by
Parliamentarians on January 30, 1649 has been
unveiled and calling for justice commiseration for
King Charles by the ever-fierce Activist and
Chairman of The Commonwealth Liberation Party
(TCLP) UK, Prof. Alexia Thomas.
Prof. Thomas’ assertion has however
necessitated her demand for justice by writing a
40-point strongly worded letter to the
Commissioner of Police, New Scotland Yard, Sir
Bernard Hogan-Howe who she charged must
prosecute David Cameron and his accomplices.
In her letter dated 26th June 2016, and copied
to the office of Queen Elizabeth II, the Prince Of
Wales, the Buckingham Police Department and
Serving MPs, the TCLP Chairman, Prof. Alexia
Thomas is calling for a halt of the 19th Century
Boys Scott British Politicians from running Great
Britain in the 21st Century like their Father’s
Vine-Yard.
EVIL GENIUS AND HIS CRIMES
Opening up a bunch of historical revisit,
the Royal Mother as she fondly addressed
alleges Mr. Cameron’s ferocious atrocities
committed as acting British Prime Minister
from11/05/2010 to 24/04/2016 is now
indictable under the Criminal Act for his
Crimes of FRAUD, TAX EVASION and
RIGGING ELECTIONS; The Law, as
compelled by Legislation and aforesaid
Penalty be communed.
FRAUD, TAX EVASION and RIGGING
ELECTIONS; The Ousted Prime Minister David
Cameron and his Cabinet Ministers of the Remain
Campaign rigged the election. On the
24/06/2016, he sought for 3 months’ period for
his Government Handover and European
Commission President Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker
overturned that his time asked will defect the
whole process of new transition and EU is not in
consensual.
Mr. Cameron punishment ensued for his violation
of Communications Act 2003. Her
Knowledgeable Professor Alexia call directs the
Justice System and Parliament to revoke and
banned the Communications Acts 2003 in which
Conservative Party Members equally breached.
TAX EVASION
Allegation Of 2016 was swept under the Carpet
because he sweet spoke People of Britain by his
charms using deceit Diplomacy. The Man
Cameron is not as smart as People assumed
because his Political cajole shank Politicians in
Government for the gains.
BREACHED COMMUNICATIONS ACT 2003
Another to his array of Criminal Offences; and
this is a very serious legislation that has limited
over 200 UK Political Parties inability to arise
above suppression in recognition compares with
old Party of Conservative Party and Labour.
Communications Act 2003 was intentionally
enacted to keep Old Parties in Rulership to
continue their tenure in Tyranny so People of
Britain are restricted by Media Broadcast of other
Up-Rise Parties and now same Conservative Party
is in breached of the Act
EMBEZZLEMENT
Prof. Thomas submits that PM David
Cameronembezzled £9,000,000.00 to campaign
Britain Remained in EU and Printed Flyers and
now that his illogical views failed, he has
indebted the Tax Payers Coffers, therefore Mr.
Cameron influenced Legislation and funded his
Conservation Party Agenda with Tax Payers
Money
Prof. Thomas prorogate that Mr. Cameron is
currently in a State of confusion hence seeking
for 3 months is a decoy to cover his track and
conceal evidence, hence is now an effective time
to oust Mr. Cameron’s time buying, he must now
vacate 10 Downing Street not exceeding 8 days
from the receipt of her letter dated the
26/06/2016, so to restrict him from rigging the
evidence to be collated at his residence
STAIN IN POLITICS
Mr. Mark Carney is the 120th and current
Governor of Bank Of England, appointed in
2013. He is the first Non-Briton to be appointed
to the Post but made a commitment to the
Prime Minister to take up British Citizenship. Why
did he make a commitment to take British
Citizenship, simply denotes his position was
attained by the lobbyist to Aid Movement of
British Money to the European Union without
obstruction for evasiveness of shrinking the
Economy of United Kingdom?
A Canadian being a Governor of Bank of England
is a shame on British Democracy, the most
ridiculed monger of National derailment of
Economic Servant for destruction.
Questions need to be answered why a Non-
British is appointed to the Post of such task of a
Nations Treasury.
DEMOCRACY DEATH
Prof. Thomas alleges that offences committed
were Crimes of from Abuse of Legislations,
Extortion and Massacreration of the UK
Economy. Her contention is that ‘The
Prorogation Of Justice Requires Leadership
Courtesy Of Impunity Law To Mandate The Rule
Of Law, Effectisation Of Equality Without
Debarment Of Peoples’ Right To Overturn The
Rulership Of Few Men Over The Majority Of Mass
Submission’.
She therefore enjoins the British Monarchy when
she opined, “The Monarchy and people of Great
Britain will agree this is the only resolution to
ripen the fruit of justice denied of King Charles

PoliticsBuhari’s Presidency, A Historic Error – Tinubu by impactinfluence(op): 4:55pm On Jun 29, 2016
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has slammed President Muhammad Buhari’s lack of political will to adopt the National Conference Report, which gives room for fiscal federalism. Tinubu, who aligned himself with the former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku, on the call for the restructuring of Nigeria, faulted Buhari’s calculated attempt to throw the Confab report into the archives. Tinubu, stated this on Monday, June 20, through his most trusted representative and Chairman, Editorial Board of the Nation Newspaper, Sam Omatseye, in his usual weekly column. Omatseye, who usually represents Tinubu in some high profile functions, delivers speeches on behalf of the APC National Leader, as well as come in his defense by writing rejoinder, stated this barely 24 hours when the President arrived Nigeria, after spending 14 days in London for medical treatment. Recall, that Buhari had recently said that he has consigned the Confab report to the trashcan, saying that his administration will not bother to look into the report. Condemning Buhari’s utterance, Tinubu said; “The Governors clasp bowl in their hands every month, to the counterfeit mercies of the center. “The APC highlighted this in the course of the campaign. For all its tendentious politics, the conference in the twilight of the Jonathan era, afforded a platform for more robust dialogue. “It was therefore, a historic error that Buhari tossed it into the archives. That big, dark vault of nothingness called archives. The time will come, when we shall build a museum of suggestions, paradigms and solutions ignored generation after generation. All the ceremonies, tea breaks, lunches, deliberations, perorations, communiqués and tomes of recommendations turn into ashes in a bonfire of time,” he stated. He maintained that, it is a waste of scarce resources, and contempt for ideas, for Buhari to discard the report spearheaded by former President, Goodluck Jonathan. “If Buhari ignores the call to restructure Nigeria, it will haunt him, as he tackles our lopsided being. I expect the call to increase in its stridency in the coming months. “The National Assembly lacks the courage, or even the depth to push it. This new restructuring fever might be another fight in futility”. While criticising Buhari’s hostility to new ideas, he maintained that the cries for restructuring, may make the country a “catacomb of echoes, room after room, relaying the same calls. But the audiences are dead, with worse than ear infections”. Drawing a conclusion, angry Tinubu said: “I am for restructuring. The federal system sits a centre like a leviathan in shallow waters, ponderous, stuck and “swimless,” and at the mercy of the nibbling rapacity of a swarm of small fishes. “We cannot sustain a system where the centre owns over half of our money, our power, our morality, our constitution. It is a garishly decorated monarchy, a throwback to our monarchical and feudal loyalties with a despotic shadow of our military past”.

PoliticsAfenifere, Falana Others Demand Buratai’s Probe Over Dubai Homes by impactinfluence(op): 5:16pm On Jun 28, 2016
Prominent Nigerians and groups on Monday
urged the Federal Government, particularly
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
to investigate the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen.
Tukur Buratai, over the purchase of $1.5m
properties in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
The Chief Of Army Staff and his two wives were
reported last week by an online medium, Sahara
Reporters, to have owned $1.5m properties in
Dubai.
The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere,
Yinka Odumakin, in an interview with The
PUNCH, said Buratai should be probed over the
allegation of the Dubai property scandal.
He stated, “The defence the army put up for him
is so silly to be believed outside the barracks. All
the earnings of Buratai since he joined the army,
if all were saved, cannot buy a house in Dubai,
let alone two.
“The army also exposed itself as a lying
institution when it said Buratai was never in
charge of procurement in writing. The
investigation should make Buratai to let the
country know that he did other businesses to
buy the property in question so that the integrity
of the anti-corruption war can be intact.
“The house could only come legitimately through
other businesses outside his pay. The savings
from the salaries of any army officer in Nigeria
cannot buy a house in Dubai.”
Also, the Socio-Economic Rights and
Accountability Project said it was the duty of the
EFCC and the ICPC to investigate Buratai’s claim
that the houses purchased in Dubai were done
with his personal savings.
Speaking in an interview with one of our
correspondents on Monday, SERAP’s Executive
Director, Adetokunbo Mumuni, said for the anti-
corruption war to be seen as fair, the anti-graft
agencies must consider whether Buratai could
afford the properties based on his financial
records as a civil servant.
He said, “The bulk stops at the table of the EFCC
and the ICPC to investigate the COAS. Did Buratai
and his two wives acquired the property in Dubai
and paid for it in a single transaction? As a civil
servant, how much has he received in salaries
and emoluments? Are these big enough to
acquire the properties? For the anti-corruption
war to be seen as fair and not selective, the anti-
graft agencies must investigate Buratai. It is their
duty.”
Reacting, the President of the Committee for the
Defence of Human Rights, Mr. Malachy
Ugwummadu, told one of our correspondents
that Buratai should be probed in as much as he
could not justify the purchase of the Dubai
property with his legitimate earnings.
Ugwummadu, a lawyer, said, “The main thrust of
the two major legal regimes designed to deal
with anti-corruption regime is to ensure that by
no means persons allowed to live in excess of
their legitimate means.
“If Buratai’s years of entry into the military are
known and his salary ascertainable and it is not
enough to satisfy a full-time soldier who is also
excluded from other endeavours apart from
farming and agriculture, he should be probed.
“This is painful to me, because Buratai has shown
commendable capacity to fight against
insurgency in Nigeria.”
He however warned that “we must be
circumspect because that could be this antics of
the fifth columnist.”
The Ministry of Defence had earlier on Monday
dismissed the controversy generated by an
online media report over the ownership of two
properties by Buratai’s family in Dubai.
The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, said that
the media report was an attempt by some
persons to distract the leadership of the Armed
Forces from the successful prosecution of the
intensified campaign against terrorism in the
North -East.
The minister’s comments were contained in a
statement signed on his behalf by his Principal
General Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed,
on Monday.
But a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana,
has slammed the Nigeria Army for defending
Buratai over the Dubai properties.
Falana said it was not the business of the Army
to speak for Buratai on the allegations.
According to him, since public offices require
public trust, Buratai should submit himself to the
Code of Conduct Bureau and the anti-graft
agencies to clear his name.
He said, “Buratai should willingly invite the CCB,
the EFCC, the ICPC to look into the matter. If
Buratai was alleged to have unjustly purchased
the houses, he has to come out to defend
himself. He must show how the money used to
purchase the houses was transferred.”

Argentina’s president Mauricio Macri has

Argentina lost to Chile on penalties in
Sunday’s Copa America final, while Messi
missed a spot-kick and was in tears at the

After the match, the 29-year-old claimed that
his international career was over: “In the
dressing room I thought that this is the end
for me with the national team, it’s not for me.
“That’s the way I feel right now, it’s a huge
sadness once again and I missed the penalty
that was so important.” PLAY
But a spokesman for Argentina’s president
told AFP: "He [Macri] called him and told him
how proud he feels of the national team's
performance and asked him not to listen to
the criticism.”
Marci also posted his support for Messi via his
official Twitter page.
“I never feel greater pride in our team,” he
said.
“I hope the joy of seeing the best in the world

PoliticsMASS Protest:fayose Releases Shocking Statement On His Resignation by impactinfluence(op): 9:40pm On Jun 25, 2016
The embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele
Fayose, has on Friday evening, reacted to the
mass protest allegedly sponsored by the All
Progressives Congress, APC, calling for his
immediate resignation.
Recall, that some residents of Ado-Ekiti, capital
of Ekiti State, took over major streets on Friday,
demanding the resignation of Governor Fayose,
over corruption allegations.
The protesters had stormed the streets of Ado-
Ekiti, chanting anti-government songs.
The placard-wielding protesters, called on the
Federal Government to probe Fayose.
Some of the inscriptions on their placards were:
‘Fayose Must Go’, ‘We Don’t Want a Criminal as
our Governor’, ‘How Can Fayose be Richer Than
Ekiti?’, ‘Where is Ekiti’s N100 million?’, ‘What
Happened to Ekiti Airport Fund?’
The protesters, challenged the Governor to
prove that the allegations against him were
untrue, asking the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission, EFCC, not to get distracted
by the “antics of the drowning man”.
“We are dying and he is busy
swimming in luxury. Workers have
not been paid for six months, but
our so-called Governor is more
interested in fighting those who
can be of help. Enough is enough,”
a protester said.
“How long can we continue like
this? The federal government
should come to our rescue. We
need to be delivered from this
tyrant. We are not safe under
him,’’ another protester stated.
In a swift reaction, Fayose, through his Media
Aide, Lere Olayinka, accused the APC of
sponsoring the protest.
“The protesters are remnants of the
Kayode Fayemi administration.
They were not even up to 100.
Their leader Omotunde Fajuyi, is a
card carrying member of the APC.
Don’t be deceived by the lies that
they are activists.”
“Instead of them to go to Abuja
and face President Buhari, that has
turned the country upside down,
they are saying Governor should
resign. They are saying someone
looted Ekiti. Where is the Ekiti that
can be looted? The State already
looted by the APC government.

PoliticsThe Game Has Changed- Rueben Abati by impactinfluence(op): 9:57am On Jun 25, 2016
“My brother, I think all the people saying they have not seen any change should by now be convinced that truly, truly, the game has changed.” “Football? Euro 2016? Brexit?” “What is wrong with you?” “Or may be you are talking about the death of Stephen Keshi and Shuaibu Amodu and the fact that Nigeria’s House of Football needs to be re- organized” “I really don’t know what the matter is with you today. I always try to engage you in a conversation because I consider you smart, but your responses don’t make sense to me.” “Game change. Well. I studied a bit of game theory in school not as a student of political science but as a generally curious student.” “Who is talking about game theory?” “Game theory is about political marketing, the relation between structure and agents, how power is deployed, structuration, the framework of power, the politics of structural and collective agency.” “When you are tired of boring yourself, you will keep quiet. I am just saying the game has changed in Nigeria. I guess that is simple enough so stop quoting text books.” “Ha, I get you now. I recall that the former Chairman of the PDP, during the election was snick-named the game-changer. Everywhere he went everyone said game-changer!” “If you are dumb, or pretending to be dumb, good for you. I am talking about today’s Nigeria, you are talking about the past. Can’t you see, don’t you hear, don’t you feel it, that indeed, contrary to what we used to think, something indeed has changed…” “Tell me.” “Me? You mean I, me, myself?” “What is that?” “If you mean I, me, myself, I have nothing to say. And please note that because the times have changed, I have developed all kinds of problems with my senses.” “Then you should go to London for treatment.” “God punish you for saying that. Do you want to put my family in trouble? I forbid you to talk carelessly anywhere I am. If you are looking for trouble, go and look for it on your own. My mid- year resolution is that I will not hear any evil, speak any evil and see no evil.” “Is that your game that has changed?” “Na you sabi?” “I think your problem is that you are afraid. You are just like all these other people who have forgotten that there is a Freedom of information Law in this country” “Hen hen. Who in this country has any law helped to put food on the table for his family? This man, be careful.” “Feel free. Let’s analyze recent developments in the country.” “As in…” “The floating of the Naira” “The Naira is floating eh. Good. So how many Nigerians have gone to the lagoon to pick up Naira free of charge, since the Naira started floating?” “There is just one market now. “ “Hun hun.” “Say something man. You are usually very intelligent and vocal.” “I hear” “Fayose, the Ekiti Governor and Ben Murray Bruce commented on this matter.” “I am warning you, the way you are putting your hands in my mouth, I will call my wife to warn you to stay away from me henceforth.” “What has your wife got to do with this?” “Because you want to put our God-loving family in trouble.” “Because you don’t want to talk critically about public issues?” “You can say what you like?” “Look at the Fayose issue. Even Zenith Bank like you is scared. They have disowned Fayose. Everybody today is sucking up and bootlicking. I hope someone will tell Zenith Bank and other banks that they all failed in their fiduciary responsibilities. The rule of banking says KYC: Know Your Customer. You can’t use ojukokoro to collect money and then turn around to say you don’t know. I also think a bank has a responsibility to report unusual transactions, the moment it happens not ex post facto.” “Well done”. “And as for Ben Murray Bruce, the commonsense Senator. You can’t borrow money and start behaving as if you have more sense than your creditor.” “This man. What is wrong with you? You are also a businessman and you once told me you are terribly exposed financially. Talk with some sense. If AMCON takes over every company, they will add to the unemployment crisis in the country and punish innocent people. AMCON is taking over too many companies. Fact. ” “I am talking sense” “And I am saying these times we are in requires more than commonsense. It requires uncommon sense, tact and intellect, and a proper understanding of nonsense because what you call commonsense will just get you into trouble.” “Ok, tell me” “No comment. In this matter, I have neither sense, commonsense or uncommon sense.” “I see. I see. The game has changed truly. Everybody with sense, even small sense is beginning to shut up and shut down. Tragic” “Who has sense helped? The game has changed…I will not join you to say I have sense.” “I am beginning to suspect you.” “I will call your wife and ask her to advise you to avoid satanic conversations anytime you are with me.” “You?” “Yes. Me.” “We cannot keep silent. This country belongs to all of us.” “Good for you. “We must talk, talk, and talk, on twitter, on instagram, on television, on the pages of newspapers.” “Yes. Yes. Yes. And your wahala when it comes will also be televised, twitterised, instagramised, and newspaperized. You better borrow yourself uncommon sense.” “Like Zenith Bank hen?” “I think you should start going home now.” “I also hear some militants are claiming that they are being instigated to continue pipeline vandalism and organize against the state.” “Nobody is organizing anything in my house. Come, how has my wife wronged you, that you want to bring calamity to our household?” “It s our job to criticize public affairs.” “It is our job to support government, so that when government succeeds, we too can succeed.” “From your mouth?” “Honestly, from my mouth.” “Now, I am beginning to understand.” “Understand whatever you want. Change is here. Have you not heard that in Cameroon, the parliament is debating a bill that makes adultery a crime. The deal is to have you spend between two and six months in the senior college if you go do napoi anyhow, so it is better to be careful and to control. “I know some napoi people in Nigeria.” “Like you, yourself?” “We know who the adulterers are. Like the National Assembly people who are now in court for forgery. You commit political adultery, you run a risk.” “This man, can you shut up? Stop talking like this at a pepper soup joint. Do you know who and who is eavesdropping on us?” “With this loud music and with the way everybody is busy with pepper soup and isi ewu?” “Just shut the hell up.” “Iyalaya anybody who wants to rob me of commonsense.” “You too have changed.” “Iyalaya change” “Just shut the Bleep up” “So life is like this?” “Life is like what” “If anybody told me” “That the iyalaya of social critics will face moving trailer.” “That you will sound like this” “At an open joint, with drunken souls eating pepper soup and half crazy? I have told you, whenever you want to hear sense from my mouth, choose a different location.“ “Truth is not selective. It should thunder forth from everywhere no matter whose ox is gored” “Gore your own ox, leave us out of it. As for me and my house, we shall support change.” “This is a loser’s creed. The sacrament of the defeated.” “You will still go and blow this your grammar in a cell, very soon. PoliticsRevealed! Buhari Illegally Kept Shu’ara As Perm Sec To Spy On Kachikwu by impactinfluence(op): 6:07pm On Jun 23, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari earlier this year
extended the tenure of the Permanent
Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources
Jamila Shu’ara in clear disregard of civil service
rules.
Shu’ara turned 60 years on February 17 and
duly served notice of her retirement to the Head
of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred
Ekanem Oyo-Ita. However, in an unprecedented
move President Buhari unilaterally extended her
tenure by one extra year by a letter sent
through the head of service. This happened at
the same time some of her colleagues who more
years to spend in service were compulsorily
retired.
However, The Nigerian Times investigation has
revealed that the covert reason for which she
was illegally retained was to serve as the
President’s eye and to check the activities of the
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe
Kachikwu.
President Buhari is also the Minister of Petroleum
Resources.
Recall that The Nigerian Times reported that
Kachikwu’s appointment was a product of a pre-
election deal between the President and General
Theophilus Danjuma (rtd) who is also a major
player in the petroleum sector. Despite
Kachikwu’s appointment, the President has kept
a stronghold on most of the major portfolios in
the ministry being the substantive minister.
Sources within the presidency disclosed that the
President does not trust Kachikwu so much as to
allow him operate without close monitoring. This
has necessitated the retention of a more
‘trustworthy’ official.
A source in the Villa told Nigerian Times that
President Buhari trusts no one particularly if that
individual is not from Daura.
“The President had his reasons for keeping the
Petroleum Ministry to himself. He was wants to
ensure that at all times, he knows what going on
there. To achieve that he knows he needs a
trusted ally to act as his spy. That’s why he is
hanging onto Shuara who having been
Permanent Secretary in that ministry before her
present stint, knows the terrain and is also
dependable.
President Buhari does not fully trust Kachikwu.
He considers him too sleek and unpredictable
particularly as he is from the Niger Delta.
Kachikwu’s recent disagreement with Transport
Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, over the Maritime
University, would seem to buttress the
President’s view of Kachikwu,” our source said.
Her appointment as reported by the media
generated a lot of disquiet within the civil service
cadre as top civil servants and labour unions
kicked against the “strange extension” which is
in violation of the civil service rules.
In the letter, HCSF/351/S.1/76, which extended
Shuara’s serviceOyo-Ita said:
“This is to inform you that His Excellency,
Muhammadu Buhari, President, Federal Republic
of Nigeria, in a letter with reference N0. SGF 12/
S.11/C.1/T/2, has extended your retirement
period by one (1) year with effect from February
17.
“Your emoluments and other conditions of
service will remain sustained up to February 16,
2017.”
The extension was a violation of the Public
Service Rule Number 020810 which says:
“(i) The compulsory retirement age for all grades
in the service shall be 60 years or 35 years of
pensionable service whichever is earlier.
“(ii) No officer shall be allowed to remain in
service after attaining the retirement age of 60
years or 35 years of pensionable service
whichever is earlier.
“(iii) The provision of (i) and (ii) of the rule is
without prejudice to prevailing requirements for
judicial officers and Academic Staff of
Universities who retire at 70 and 65 years
respectively.
“(iv) Provided the officer would not have
attained the retirement age of 60 years or spent
35 years of pensionable service whichever is
earlier;
(a) “a Director shall compulsorily retire upon
serving eight years on the post and (b) a
Permanent Secretary shall hold office for a term
of four years and renewable for a further term of
four years, subject to satisfactory performance
and no more.”
In her February 15 notice of retirement Shu’ara
had written: “I write most respectfully to forward
to you, my notice of retirement from the Federal
Civil Service with effect from February 17 when I
shall attain the mandatory age of 60 years, in
line with Public Service Rule 100238.
“I was employed into the public service May,
1982 as a Lecturer Grade III and rose through
the ranks to the position of a Chief Lecturer, and
also served as a Head of Department, a Dean of
a School, a Deputy Provost and the Provost of a
Federal College of Education. Thereafter, I
transferred into the Federal Civil Service as an
Assistant Director, Education in 1999, and
moved up the ladder to a Deputy Director and
later a Director in 2008.
“I was appointed the Federal Permanent
Secretary on the 20th of December 2012, and
was deployed to several duty posts including;
the Office of the Secretary to Government of the
Federation – Special Duties Office; Ministry of
Aviation; Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the
Federal Ministry of Special Duties &
Intergovernmental Affairs and finally back to the
Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
“I thank the Federal Government of Nigeria,
especially His Excellency, President Muhammadu
Buhari for giving me the opportunity of a rich
employment and founding me worthy to serve in
different capacities. I also thank you ma, for
giving me support and encouragement as the
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
“I wish to confirm that I am not in any way
indebted to the Federal Government of Nigeria
as evidenced in the non-indebtedness form duly
endorsed by the Federal Housing Loans Board.
“Please accept the assurances of my high
regards and consideration.”

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari Moves To Remove EFCC Boss Magu by impactinfluence(op): 6:08am On Jun 23, 2016
impactinfluence:
saharareporters.com/2016/06/22/buharis-chief-staff-abba-kyari-moves-remove-efcc-boss-magu
Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President
Muhammadu Buhari, along with the Director
General of the Department of State Security
(DSS) and newspaper publisher Nduka
Obaigbena, has commenced a full-scale war
against Ibrahim Magu, the chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
(EFCC).
Under the scheme, Magu will be replaced with a
man, already identified, who is more amenable to
the ways of Mr. Kyari and other kitchen cabinet
persons.
Sources at the Presidency said there has been a
cold war between Magu and members of the
President’s kitchen cabinet, who seek to interfere
with ongoing corruption cases at the EFCC.
Matters reportedly came to a head recently when
SaharaReporters did an exposé that revealed
how the Chief of Staff perverted an investigation
that the commission had commenced against a
powerful indigenous oil company, Sahara Energy,
with Mr. Kyari directly accusing Magu of being
the brain behind the leaking of the story.
Related issues of contention include the planned
commencement of the trial of Jide Omokore, a
shady businessman known to have been involved
in multi-billion oil deals with former Minister of
Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The Chief of Staff had apparently assured Mr.
Omokore that he would not be prosecuted by the
EFCC.
Our sources revealed that Magu’s letter of
nomination to the Senate for confirmation was
delayed by the Chief of Staff and the Attorney
General of the Federation because of Magu’s
“intransigence.”
On the part of the DSS, sources within the
administration say Magu was held to have
stepped on their toes by constantly questioning
why they usurped the role of EFCC in carrying
out raids into the homes of corrupt former
government officials, which is the domain of the
EFCC. The DSS reportedly raided at least 30
homes of officials and aides of former President
Goodluck Jonathan, but only managed to deliver
a meager N47m and $1.943m. Worse still, some
of the monies recovered were never delivered to
the federal government treasury and during
reconciliation, some of the foreign currencies
were found to be fake.
In that connection, the sources cited the
February raid on the Abuja home of the son of
Ngozi Olojeme, who was axed as Chair of Nigeria
Social Insurance Trust Fund after Buhari came to
power. While the DSS agents reportedly found
$500,000, only $50,000 was delivered to the
Treasury. Olojeme was never prosecuted either,
where she would have revealed exactly how
much money she lost.
The tension between the EFCC and the DSS grew
to unimaginable proportions until yesterday
when the DSS raided the home of a member of
the Arms Probe Committee, Air Commodore
Umar Muhammed (rtd.) who reportedly had
$1.5million hidden in the premises in Abuja from
bribes he purportedly received on behalf of other
panel members. The reporting of the story
appeared in Thisday newspaper, owned by
Nduka Obaigbena , the publisher of which had
been forced by the EFCC to return monies he
collected from the office of the National Security
Adviser for a contract that was never
implemented.
Knowledgeable sources in government and law
enforcement told SaharaReporters last night that
Obaigbena was stopped from traveling to the
United Kingdom last weekend by airport
immigration officials who told him he was on the
EFCC no-fly list.
The sources say Mr. Kyari, a former member of
the Editorial Board of ThisDay, then intervened,
following which Obaigbena was eventually
allowed to travel the next day. He is now in
London. Sources at the EFCC said that by
securing Obaigbena’s travels, Mr. Kyari, and the
DSS DG apparently obtained his cooperation to
commence a media war on the chairperson of
the agency.
Despite Obaigbena being on the security watch
list of the EFCC, Mr. Kyari and Information
Minister Lai Mohammed recently organized a
high-profile meeting between President Buhari
and the Newspaper Proprietors Association of
Nigeria (NPAN) at the Presidential Villa in which
the publisher featured prominently. Mr.
Mohammed had his issues with Magu as well, as
the EFCC boss had frozen about N10b in funds of
the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) as
former officials there began last-minute looting.
Mohammed intervened to get Magu to unfreeze
the account so that it could be used while he
awaited approval of his budget, but Magu
refused.
The minister also reportedly sent a request to the
EFCC chairman to return monies retrieved from
Obaigbena and other newspaper proprietors who
were caught in the $2.1b scandal, but Magu also
refused to budge. Furthermore, Mr. Magu and
his officials are said to have extended their probe
to include others in the media that include
another publisher, Comfort Obi, whose account
was also frozen. SaharaReporters has it on
indisputable authority that the Chief of Staff and
Mr. Mohammed took those proprietors to meet
with President Buhari, but it is unclear if he gave
them any concessions.
ThisDay’s role in releasing information about the
arrest of the retired Air Commodore accused of
receiving a bribe was consolidated as his travel
ban was lifted, one source revealed.
Speaking to SaharaReporters by phone from
London on Wednesday, Obaigbena confirmed
that he was actually stopped at the Murtala
Muhammad International Airport last Sunday but
claimed it was because of an EFCC warrant left at
the airport last December. He denied that
anyone intervened to facilitate his travel
thereafter, but did not state how the warrant
was overturned except saying that the head of
the Immigration department in Abuja apologized
to him by phone. Asked about his relationship
with Kyari, he admitted that Kyari once served
on the Editorial Board of his newspaper
SaharaReporters has learned that DSS is making
moves to invite Magu for interrogation and
possibly detain him claiming that retired Air
Commodore Umar Muhammad from Bauchi took
$300k from some persons under corruption
probe so that they could hold a meeting with
Magu during his visit to IDP camps in Maiduguri
two weeks ago. It is unclear if Magu had such
meetings.
Air Commodore Umar Muhammad appears to be
the best shot yet at Magu from the onslaught
launched by Abba Kyari and his collaborators.
SaharaReporters learnt that the Arms
Procurement Investigation Committee had also
been fractured along lines of bias, as pressure
was mounted on them not to probe a former
Chief of Army, Lt General Abdulrahman Bello
Dambazau, who is now the Minister of Internal
Affairs. Magu and a few others are said to have
favored inviting and investigating him.
Crying foul, the EFCC in a press statement on
Tuesday contended of the ThisDay report linking
the agency to corruption associated with retired
Air Commodore Umar, that this is simply a case
of corruption fighting back .
People knowledgeable about the retired Air
Commodore said he was married to late oil
Minister Rilwan Lukman’s daughter and that he
has always lived a flamboyant lifestyle close to
former Presidents, including late President Umar
Yar’Adua. They characterized him as a conduit
for passing funds to other Heads of State and
governments in Africa. During former President
Jonathan’s era, for instance, he was said to have
been a go-between with several African Heads of
State, particularly those of Niger and Ghana. He
runs a massive office in Abuja where he refers to
himself as “Don”.
His posh home in Abuja reportedly has at least
50 luxury cars, and he was regularly in the
company of high-profile local and international
visitors. Former FCT Minister Bala Mohammed
was a regular visitor to his home, and he
reportedly was involved in passing money to the
Chadian government during the botched Boko
Haram negotiation involving Hassan Tukur, the
former Principal Secretary to President Jonathan,
who was arrested two weeks ago.
It is unclear how the retired Air Commodore,
given such profile, was put on a panel by the
Buhari government to investigate high-profile
corruption cases.
If Magu is removed from the leadership of the
EFCC, the Chief of Staff and his collaborators plan
to replace him with another police officer so far
simply identified as “Abdulrahman,” an instructor
at the Nigerian Police College in Kaduna.
“Abdulrahman” is said to have once worked with
Farida Waziri, during the darkest days of
impunity and corruption in Nigeria, and appears
to be the kitchen cabinet’s perfect replacement
for Magu as they will control him just as Farida
was controlled by Umaru Yar’Adua’s Aso Rock
gang.
The DSS probe, our sources were unanimous, is
aimed at generating a report that would end
Magu’s tenure.
The vultures are gathering now,” a political
analyst said in New York on Wednesday.
“If Buhari cannot find the conviction to chop off
the head of the crocodile he has reared as a pet
in Aso Rock,” he continued, “ his anti-corruption
claims will be in silent mode by the time he
returns from the United Nations General
Assembly in September, and will be the laughing
stock of the world by the time he reads his
Christmas speech.”

PoliticsFayose Bombs Buhari, You And Your Wife Are Corrupt by impactinfluence(op): 6:28am On Jun 21, 2016
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele
Fayose, on Monday revived a
controversy surrounding the role
played by Aisha, President
Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, in the
messy bribery scandal involving
U.S. Congressman, Williams
Jefferson.
Mr. Fayose distributed a link to the
U.S. Department of Justice Web
site holding court documents
where Mrs. Buhari was alleged to
have transferred suspicious funds
to a convicted former American
congressman, Williams Jefferson.
In a statement signed by his Chief
Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Mr.
Fayose said President Buhari was
far from being a clean man.
“Even the President cannot claim
to be an angel,” the governor said,
in reaction to the freezing of his
Zenith Bank account by the
Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission.
“The estate he built in Abuja is
known to us. His wife was indicted
over the Halliburton Scandal (sic).
When that American, Jefferson,
was being sentenced, the
President’s wife was mentioned as
having wired $170,000 to
Jefferson. Her name was on page
25 of the sentencing of Jefferson.
We can serialize the judgment for
people to see and read.”
The governor’s Special Assistant
on New Media, Lere Olayinka, later
circulated links to and copies of
the court document detailing Mrs
Buhari’s mention in the scandal.
The documents showed that in
some of the exhibits tendered in
convicting Mr. Jefferson of bribery,
a Mrs. Buhari was mentioned as
transferring $170,000 to the
American politician using a firm as
proxy.
“Government Exhibits 36-87
(6/26/02 $170,000 wire transfer from account
in Nigeria in the name of Aisha Buhari to an
account in the name of The ANJ Group, LLC,
identifying “William Jefferson” as Beneficiary),”
the U.S. Government Sentencing Memorandum
said on page 22.
Mrs. Buhari could not be reached for
comments. And Presidential spokesman, Femi
Adesina, declined comments, saying he would
need to check the documents himself before
issuing an official statement.
Mr. Fayose’s comment sparked a recollection of
how Mr. Jefferson, between 2000 and 2005,
used his position as member of the U.S. House
of Representatives to offer illegal services to
private companies for cash rewards.
Mr. Jefferson and his family, according to U.S.
authorities, received about $367,500 through
through his firm, ANJ Group, for services
rendered to iGate, an American broadband
technology provider.
An indigenous firm, Netlink Digital Television,
had signed a joint venture with iGate to set up
digital satellite TV and broadband Internet
services in the country. NDTV was owned by
Oyewole Fasawe, a PDP chieftain at the time.
Mr. Jefferson was contracted to help promote
iGate and NDTV partnership in Nigeria.
Following a lengthy trial, Mr. Jefferson was
convicted in 2009 and sentenced to 13 years in
prison.
Although Mr. Fasawe was arrested in 2005 by
the EFCC, he was never convicted.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were also
said to be a person of interest in the allegations.
A report released by the EFCC on June 22,
2006 about the bribery scandal indicated that
the commission investigated accounts held by
Mrs. Buhari, including one she had with Citizens
Bank.
A 2007 New York Times’ article detailed how
Mrs. Buhari told an acquaintance in Washington
that she was a daughter of a former Nigerian
head of state and a friend of Mr. Jefferson.
“As the pair struck up a conversation and
subsequently became friends, Mr. Assiba, then
a security guard, said she told him that her
father was the former military ruler of Nigeria,
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, and that her
American friends included politicians like Mr.
Jefferson of Louisiana.”

PhonesRe: How Smartphone Makers Are Defrauding Nigerians by impactinfluence: 7:10am On Jun 10, 2016
TechRez:
A case where phone makers deliberate set out to rip off the wallet of Nigerians with juicy marketing, only to make a U-turn and do what they ought to do in the first instance. What do I mean? Now, I have seen a couple of phone makers make a certain phone with 1GB RAM, and then 3-months later, they release the same phone with 2GB RAM and add appellations like “Plus, Max, Pro” at the end of the original name. These OEM’s have no “trade-in” policy, they deliberately want Nigerians to dump their new phone and purchase the same phone with a re-branded name. Ouch!

For other phone makers, they make the two variant, 1GB RAM and 2GB RAM, release only the 1GB version in Nigeria and send the two 2GB version to Kenya and UAE because those countries have a government – This is fraud!

The United States has a regulatory body called FCC that checks the quality and authenticity of phones coming into their country. Even the highly rated Xaiomi had a tough time entry the U.S market because of the standards the Chinese OEM had to meet.

Over here in Nigeria, the Standard Organization of Nigeria and NCC allows anything into Nigeria, as if our dear country is dumping ground for some of these phones that should be destroyed at the shores of Nigeria.

I earlier decried the so-called Yezz Mobile Jumia wanted to flood into the market, I am glad the brand was dead on arrival. There are other OEM’s who have established their brand in Nigeria, but now take us for granted with their bizarre business policy – This is fraud, it is dumb and delusional.

It’s even more disheartening that some OEM’s create phones without parts and accessories. They don’t want to offer repair services even when they know their stuff is inferior, they want you to keep buying the same sh!t with the money they don’t deserve.
