3) Humble yourself, be willing to learn

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to go about your business with a "know it all" attitude. Be open-minded and seek counsel where necessary. Read, network and submit yourself to forums or interest groups in your field. As you do you might be surprised that new ideas take root because of this kind of exposure.
