I work in a company where a husband and a wife own. I actually use to to think it's wrong but the business works smoothly. I can't ask him as my boss how he is able to cope with that. But do u guys thing its right? For me I do think on a personal reasoning, it wrong. let's hear your view.

i got this email from this scammers asking me to upgrade my Gtbank internet banking info online.. Please my fellow nairalanders, this platform looks exactly like the real GTbank internet banking platform but its fake.. Here is the web link to the scammers cloned GTBank Platform

Please be careful. GTbank will never ask you for your banking details online. And make sure you always look at https:// in the adress bar which is the secured protocol Gtb uses. Please spread the news and lets keep exposing these scammers.

My Name is Godwin, CEO of Webdevelopersng.com., a web development and software development firm in Calabar. Am writing this piece of advice to all my fellow webmaster in NL and to all CEO's. Due to how we display our profiles, account numbers, phone number etc online.. i think this fraudsters are picking up this info and they decide to scam us.

My Story[/b]: Early this morning in the office, my phone rang, thinking its a genuine client, i never knew it was a fraudster. He called me by my name and called up my company name too, and claims to be an Honourable from Abakiliki in Ebonyi. He said, he wants our company to run an Online Networking website that will link all the government parastatals in Ebonyi state. I asked him few questions of which he could not reply me and he cut the call, i tried calling him back but he refused to pick, few hours later i called same number with another line, another person picked the call, as i was trying to threthen them that i will report them to MTN because they were using an MTN line, they cut and told me to get out.

My fellow webmasters and CEO's, these guys are out there against us and we just have to get ourselves ready for them. I once fell for them (frausters) and thank God it was little money i lost.

[b]BELOW ARE TIPS TO IDENTIFY A FRAUSTER OR A SCAMMER

1. They will call you by name, with your company name and also claim that a client of yours gave them your contact.
2. They will present to you a mouth watering contract and things they know you can do and those you cannot do.
3. They will tell you to provide something in advance like cash, recharge cards, etc.
4. Never you fall for a contract that you never initiated or been part of the initiators.
5. Try to control your taste and dont be greedy.
6. What they will present on the table is always mouth watering, and if you are a greedy type, you will fall for them. So try as much as possible to share the information with 1 or 2 persons close to you for ideas and suggestions.
7. They will always try to twist your head and warn you not to tell anybody about the contract... they are liars and thieves cos they know telling someone about it, could lead you to be discouraged.

I don't know who this person is and i don't know who and who he must have scammed with his fake contract. Maybe they have different lines they use for this business that i dont know, but here is the MTN line the fraudster used to call me: 07033474804 and he calls himself honourable from Abakiliki LGA in Ebonyi state.

I would have preffered this article to be in the FrontPage for so many people to learn from it. We need to start exposing these people and to make this country not conducive for them.

Louis Maria: We did'nt pay for d modification..That's just how it is & that in few days(say 2-4days) time we shld re-print our jamb slip(original) & d new reg nos. would have been effected by den...that's all I know for now...I haven't printed mine to confirm dis...NOTE: am not d only one dt his jamb reg nos. was changed,it's every one that's affected & for those that their name didn't appear,till June batch...I'll do notify dis house wen i re-print ma jamb slip to confirm d originality of d new jamb nos. as i haven't heared from ma colleagues yet...

Of all the whole schools in Nigeria having this problem, i have not heard any school telling us that a new JAMB reg number was generated for them. Was your admission from a pre-degre program?[b][/b][color=#990000][/color] Cos am only aware of JAMB regulizing only pre-degree candidates only, BUT IF YOU GOT YOUR ADMISION thru UME, then your normal year 1 jamb reg number is what NYSC will still use in the correction.. That is the situation in my school (UNICAL)

Louis Maria: From ABSU:that person dt told u that jamb pasted corrected list along side with call up no is lieing...its only a list with new jamb number,no call up number included..i just left sch(ABSU) few hours ago and d only tin there is a new jamb number and we shld km along side with others to collect our call up letter and also,the call up number will be attached together with the letter...From ABSU.

Why new registration number? What is wrong with the original reg number you used in your year 1? did you guys in ABSU pay any money for this newly generated registration numbers? Please we need answers

[b]Some of my frends in ABSU have started confirming there names in the corrected error list n there school. 1 gave me a call and was jubilating that his name in the error list has been reverted and that he now has a call-up number. I writing this post is also affected as my name was also included in the error list from UNICAL. As you read this post, i am in the office of the DSA of my school and no valid information is been related to us. All we hear are rumours; some say the names will be corrected but will not be re-pasted and that we will just come and pick up our call-up letters, some say due to the minimal time available, JAMB could not sort out the registration numbers below 2007 set and that we have been automatically diverted to the JUNE batch(i say tufia-kwa to dat. So please let us know the situation in your school, mostly if you are from a school that the corrected error list has been pasted. Or your dean of student affairs(DSA)is updating you guys about the situation. [/b]
