Car Talk / Re: My Civic Goes Off While Driving by inas911(m): 3:07am On Sep 17, 2022
I am one who always preaches scanning before carrying out any fix.
But having worked on similar issues before, all the ones I fixed never came up with any code related to the issue.
@OP your problem is most likely electrical.
Problem area is usually around your fuse box, wiring or electrical components (fuses and relays).
Check all the fuses, clean them. First.
Also check your relays. Replace the main relays and fuses. If symptoms persist, you will need a competent auto electrician to help you diagnose the issue.

Well noted!
Car Talk / Re: My Civic Goes Off While Driving by inas911(m): 8:02pm On Sep 14, 2022

I believe this is electrical, one of your fuses is acting up. Get an electrician to check your main fusebox for issues or wrong/corroded wiring.

When I had this exact same issue I had to change my entire engine fuse box before I got rid of the problem.

Thanks so much

Business / Re: Payoneer Freezes All Funds Due To Wirecard AG Filed For Insolvency by inas911(m): 10:47am On Jun 28, 2020
Hi guys, do not allow your heart to be troubled if your money was frozen. Get these facts rights.

1. Payoneer and Wirecard are two different companies. Payoneer only partnered with Wirecard to help them provide the MasterCard you have there with you. So, once you withdraw less than $10k into your Payoneer acct, it auto drops into your card. So you can either choose to withdraw via ATM or use it online for shopping.

2. It is not Payoneer that freezed our money, it is the UK financial body that freezed all the money in all cards provided by Wirecard. Wirecard has lots of companies partnering with them. So, it affected all their partners including Payoneer.

3. Just as Payoneer has said that your money is safe. Worst come to Worst, Payoneer will look for a away to remove all the our funds from the card and deposit them into their own virtual wallet so everyone can have access to their money for withdrawals. This means you and i will no longer be able to use our MasterCard again via ATM or for online shopping. We will all now be restricted ONLY to bank withdrawals or transfer to an agent for Naira.

4. So our prayer should be that the process should speed up.

Car Talk / Re: Your Advice On The Oil To Use For My Civic 07 by inas911(m): 7:27am On Oct 19, 2019

Previous owner probably had transmission nightmares before selling this car to you.

That's true. I drove the car in town but didn't notice it. It was when I went for a long journey, the bad transmission sign pooed up with my D plinking on the dashboard.

Mech checked and confirmed that the gear box is bad and they would have to fix it, it a 50/50 chance which he doesn't recommend and that I should get a new transmission
Car Talk / I Paid Police 5k Cos Of My Plate Number by inas911(m): 7:19am On Oct 19, 2019
I just bought a car (Naija use) and comes with a Lagos plate number. A police officer stopped me and said my plate number is not assigned. I showed him all the registration papers, he refused and said he was going to cease my car. I had to give him 5k before he let me go.

I confirmed it online. It says plate number VALID BUT NOT ASSIGNED.

Pls guys, how do i fix this?

Car Talk / Re: Let's Talk About Automatic Transmission Fluid (gear Oil) by inas911(m): 7:53am On Oct 12, 2019

The problem right now is that the oil seals in the transmission have been affected. Using the right oil now might not reverse the damage.

I have same problem with my Civic 07. I was traveling with, suddenly it could no longer enter another gear. Climbing the smallest Hill is impossible. I parked and saw that all my transmission oil has poured. The oil seal is weak making all the oil leak.

My question is...

If oil seal is fixed and new transmission oil poured in, can the gear box go back to normalcy or it just to get a new gear box entirely.

Abeg.. gurus recommend.
Car Talk / Re: Your Advice On The Oil To Use For My Civic 07 by inas911(m): 11:25pm On Oct 11, 2019
Does gearbox have any relationship with radiator? Cos I noticed that one of the radiator horse that connects to my engine got burst and gear refuses to rev not more than 37km. And it resulted to leakages of my transmission oil. Now am scared it doesn't scattered my gearbox

Car Talk / Re: Your Advice On The Oil To Use For My Civic 07 by inas911(m): 9:52pm On Oct 10, 2019
Ask the former user what he has been using
He said he used Oando Dexton 2 on the Transmission.

Car Talk / Re: Advice Please - Honda Civic 2006-2008 by inas911(m): 9:51pm On Jul 12, 2019
Get the American spec. Even if you cant get parts in Nigeria it's always easy to import from the USA..

Ha! Ba!! Bro.. I don't buy this your idea ooo. Importing every part that gets spoilt.
Car Talk / Re: Advice Please - Honda Civic 2006-2008 by inas911(m): 9:49pm On Jul 12, 2019
The second, American spec, is the better option because the body parts are cheaper and more available.

The 2nd, American spec?
