dukecharles: You are an idiot, what is their to read? That suddenly CBN can't provide Fx for fuel importation when the likes of Dangote, Aisha Buhari and other bourgeois are messing with our Fx.. By the time Nigerians will realize that GEJ was the best thing that happened to Nigeria, PMS will be sold for 200, dollars will be exchanged for 500. I just don't like youths that cannot ruminate. My own question is simple. What exactly are the masses gaining from this government? They denied us forex for international transaction, even the form A & M u go sweat to get it approved especially form M wey go need anointing & 30 days fasting and prayer, they sell to banks at official rate and close their eyes when banks charge us close to black market rate yet some people sit down on that forex using it for their own personal use & dey tell us the government is helping us!! By the time pressure from the oil marketers that spend millions of USD on individual basis hit the USD it will jump to #500 before December |

Not surprised at those hypocrite. What I don't get is NNPC fronting for FG is importing using OUR forex but selling to as like a normal marketer. They claimed they have been subsidizing #12 all this while so how did they arrive at #145 now? We the masses should keep enduring while they budget money meant to feed an entire state to only aso rock, even give allowance to the presidency for traveling with OUR money. Government of propaganda |

jedisco: Hmm. I'm outside Lagos and looking at about 300pcs of customised school ties. I don't know anywhere I can get it done in Nigeria. I thought there was the option of free shipping or anyone where I can pick it up at the nearest post-office. It's the Customs duty that I don't know how it's calculated. How did you ship yours You can get it done here but the quality from china will beat what we get here hands down. The few who can produce sth close after you buy the tie and they work on it may give you prices that will make you jump a bridge without second thought. |

jedisco: That's big. You should be well experienced in this then. For smaller packages like mine, what option do you think is best? Also, the fabric you imported, were they already sewn (i.e shirts, dresses e.t.c) or plain? I'm asking because I'm also looking at importing customised cotton fabric for school uniform or do you know where I can get it in Nigeria? A tie is a light item so air cargo will do. If its a contract you are going for then I advise you get a good graphics designer, check out tie pictures for schools online, look for what suits you well. Tell your graphics guy to design according to the pattern your supplier gave you. He puts it on 3D,ask your supplier if it will be achievable either by monogram or its screen printing, show d school management the 3D design, they approve and u run samples. U will still get air cargo for $5.6-6/kg inclusive clearing. Please I won't answer your question again so don't bother quoting me. |

chaosattractor: It's because I don't want names to be involved yet that I'm not posting the emails and so on. If I did you'll see that she jumped straight to calling me a fraudster, monkey and all sorts of names without even attempting to meet me halfway after I'd given her account statement, screenshot of my account, even a reference number. If she was truly straightforward she would have contacted me to let me know she hasn't received an alert instead of leaving me to ping her for over 24 hours. Not to mention that after showing her all that at least she could show me her own side for me to see that she hasn't received it, then the next thing will be to call the banks and verify that the transaction isn't hung up somewhere. I would even have gone to the bank myself to make sure the transaction was completed but how can I do that when all she's doing is to insult me and tell me she's placing a warrant for my arrest?
In any case she has given me nothing, I owe her nothing so I have every right to take my money back. Even if it's a misunderstanding I wouldn't want to do business with someone that rude and uncouth anyway. You should see some of the things she was calling me. I understand your point very well. Maybe its bad mood or she has been scammed once. Get to your bank & complain. Check her bank as well if you have anyone there that can assist you to be sure she got the money or not. Everyone is trying to be cautious here. Sorry if she has insulted you but its your money at risk here if you've been debited as you claimed |

wastedsperm: The military should intensify the bombing of the creeks and ensure they level the SS if they meet firm resistance. We South westerners once fed the whole country with cocoa money before oil was discovered and we never resorted to economic sabotage. Wipe them out of the map. Nothing will happen But you forgot the Cocoa farms belong to you & u sell at a balanced price. Let ND region control their oil blocks same way Fulani controls their cattle, Yoruba control their cocoa, Edo her palm oil, Hausa her tomatoes and this madness will stop |

Politics › Re: Buhari Moves To Remove Fuel Subsidy, Begins Consultation With NASS by Infinitikoncept(m): 11:34am On May 08, 2016 |
kole22k: subsidy pmt has been one of d major area where government has been looseing revenue to the fuel importers because the subsidy administration itself is characterized with fraud and corrupt practices, several vessels will Barth without content yet subsidy would be claimed, the authorities has fail in carrying out check and balances on any vessel claim to have arrived with imported pms therefore the area has become corruption zone so it's a welcome development if subsidy pmt can be removed absolutely. Let the government get a task force to check such activities and anyone find culpable should be made to lose his license and entire shipment seized. |

omohayek: Care to point out what exactly was "gallimufry" in what I wrote? How do you expect refining to flourish in Nigeria when private operators aren't able to make a profit?
The answer is simple: their prices are not below N70/litre, which is why it is so lucrative for criminals to hijack refined fuel from Nigeria to sell abroad.
We have to face reality: no matter what the "official" price of petrol may be, nobody is actually getting it at that price without having to do a lot of waiting in long queues in the hot sun with jerry-cans, often with nothing to show for it at the end of the day. Isn't it better to pay the market price for fuel and be sure that you can get it within minutes, rather than wasting so many days of one's life looking for "cheap" fuel that isn't there? Because that is the real situation Nigerians have been facing for years now.
I haven't even mentioned the fact that this same costly fuel subsidy is one major reason why Nigeria saved nothing during the years when oil was $110/barrel, or that keeping it in place will completely blow up the 2016 budget, which already requires substantial borrowing. Would you rather have better electricity transmission and better road/rail links, or see billions poured into fuel subsidies whose main beneficiaries are smugglers and fraudulent importers?
If you think I am wrong in anything I have said, I would appreciate a response that points out the gaps or errors in my reasoning, rather than trading insults or simply accusing me of "gallimufry". Since crude oil is cheaper now less than $50pb are u telling me if we have our refineries working at full gear we won't make profit selling the crude oil to our system and selling back to the populace at a cheaper price than what we currently have? |
