Business / Re: What Is Money? by infocaster: 3:55pm On Sep 08, 2009 |
@boomlogics That is what the books have taught you. Good! How about what life has taught you? For example you said; Money is good because if you have it you will be happy, if not you won't be happy.I din't agree with you on that because i don't think Mrs. Ibru of Oceanic bank is happy right now with all her money. I am sure one guy down the street without money will be enjoying a better BP than her. I think without money you can still be happy. So think deep into life and let me know what this thing called money is? |
Business / Re: To Get Legitimate Credit Cards in Nigeria by infocaster: 11:39am On Sep 08, 2009 |
@afajack Hi afajack, I do not know if you succeeded in buying the credit card. If you did please let us know how you went about it. Knowledge is never absolute o! If you couldn't or are still having difficulties, i want you to go to another thread about credit card on nairaland where i think most of your fears and doubts have been sorted out. I gave a very mind blowing solution to this problem which i see facing many of us Nigerians online. I don't have to duplicate it here again so just go to the following thread; https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-6806.32.html |
Business / Re: How Can I Get My Own Credit Card In Nigeria by infocaster: 11:18am On Sep 08, 2009 |
Hello folks, @Prine lcc Hi Prince lcc, i did like to know if you have got your credit card now after all the stuff posted above? I hope the different opinions and options have not confused you? Let me summarize them for you;
[li]Nigerian credit card are not accepted by online merchants whether they are genuine or not, even if they are Visa or Master cards[/li] [li]To get genuine or rather foreign credit card to use you have to pay for it with credit card[/li] [li]Nigerian ompanies or individuals who claim to offer online shopping services or visa card procurement always have high transaction charge and expensive conversion rate[/li]
So where does this leave you? My opinion is, find a way to do it yourself and bypass all these bottle necks and middlemen. This would mean you getting a U.S. Bank Account which entitles you to a Cheque book and Debit card that works anywhere. That's the solution. The good news is that you don't need a huge opening balance and you can apply for it by yourself online. It is a Bank in the US that offers this service. You will be able to heck it out yourself before you open the account. I can't do it for you, you have to do it yourself. If you are interested, you can send me a request through my email (infodisher@gmail.com) and i will gladly send you how to go about it. Hope i have been able to make things clearer a little bit? |
Business / What Is Money? by infocaster: 7:04pm On Sep 04, 2009 |
With the way we Nigerians are rushing after this thing called money, i feel we should take some time out to really say what money is. Is money real or it's just a concept? Is money synonymous with wealth? Is money good or bad? Is it a destroyer or a builder? Does it defines a man's value or it is man that defines its value? What exactly is this coloured paper that makes a lot of people go crazy and even turn murderers? There are so many questions about money, who can answer them? My fellow forumite, what is MONEY? |
Business / Re: Let's Expose Scammers Here - Read before you transact! by infocaster: 6:54pm On Sep 04, 2009 |
The word to note is due diligence. Before buying any product or service, do consultations, ask questions, browse the Internet to more about the stuff you want to get. all these could even help you to know if it's true or a scam. |
Computers / Re: Best Antivirus To Use by infocaster: 5:55pm On Sep 04, 2009 |
Why looking for Panda? Although it has a very strong and strict security scheme, it take a lot of memory space and make your system too slow. I have tried full versions of Kerspersky and nod 32 but till 2morow i stick to my Avast professional(for vista). I have been using it for over 2 yrs without any problems to my laptop which i use in public cafes. I'm also confident in using any flash drive on my system because Avast cleans it like child's play. it is lightweight too. A friend said he combines Nod 32 and Avast together. they seem to be compatible with each other but i have never tried it anyway because i have no need to. Things to note. Make sure you update your Avast everyday. they do updates most times twice in a day. Do not use cracks, get a genuine license and you won't have problems with viruses. they have hard working programmers. |
Computers / Re: Which Network Should I Join For Fast Internet Browsing? by infocaster: 5:39pm On Sep 04, 2009 |
hello people, I see conflicting opinions here about the speed and i believe the main reason is because of location. Some services may be good in one place and absolutely a write off in another. What we should do here is indicate your state and city and rhen say the best network there. I am sure this will help a lot of people in here rather than trying to convince each other about how good your service is. You all could be right because you are all in different places. So do it this way; STATE, CITY, BEST NETWORK Hope this okay for all of us? |

Business / Are You Being Robbed By Your Bank? Share It by infocaster: 4:38pm On Aug 12, 2009 |
tHIS THREAD IS JUST FOR US TO SHARE HOW OUR BANKS RIB US OF MONEY. for example, any over the counter withdrawals below N60,000(not so sure) in GT Bank attracts N105 with claims that they want people to be making use of ATM cards and reduce the queue and crowd at the counters. Do you think our banks are ready for this when the ATM machines always have one problem or the other? The painful thing is that you will find an ATM machine unable to disburse funds and they won't have any sense of urgency to refill it even before it goes out. Why must they wait for cash to finish befor refill? Are they really ready for ATM? |

Business / Re: Let's Expose Scammers Here - Read before you transact! by infocaster: 4:26pm On Aug 12, 2009 |
POINTS TO NOTE 1. if it has to do with funding accounts, never send huge sums. yest with the minimum amount and see how it is. Vontinue like that for like 5 times before making any conclusions. 2. if it is an information product, search the net or forums like nairaland and you may find someonelse who is sharing it for free. that will save you some risk. If you can't find it, make enquiries about reputable markters and call or findout if they have information on the subject matter. 3. if it is a loan or investment program, Neve Ever burrow money to do it unless you are a greedy person who wants to remain indebted. 4. if it is visa, travel and such stuff. you don't need to pay anybody just search the internet or go to the embassies to get info for yourself. the truth is that we Nigerians are so used to paying people to do things for us. For example why would one be paying somebody to process visa or register a business name instead of going to d embassy yourself or the CAC. Ok take a look at international passport, peop;e still pay agents to do ut for them when they can get cheaper and easier at the immigration office. All the same just open your eyes and be watchul. Somebody said if it is too good to be true then it is. but from my experience, there are sometimes that it could be really true. like when i first heard about travelling to some countries without visa, i seriously doubted. but i still bought the information which explained and enlightened me about what is called visa waiver programs and bilateral trade programs between certain countries that one could take advantage of. from then i stopped always being skeptical. that doesn't mean i haven't been scammed by some o! but i am more careful now and i haven't had such experience for a long while now. I prefer paying more to be mentored rather than getting manuals which you may not fully comprehend. The bottom line is that most Nigerians don't read. How many nairalanders do you think have or would read this thread? I leave that for you to answer. The wise ones like you will always come from time to time to get updated. Ahine your eye sha o! |

Yes because scriptures say so and Christ said be ye holy as i am holy. If we can\t BE IT he wouldn't have said it. But one thing i know is that knowledge, Grace and spiritual maturity do grow and it grows you become to shed off some sins that previously used to overcome you. It is not instant but gradual |
