Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

(The ideal candidate should preferably reside on the Island i.e. Lagos Island, Lekki, Ajah and immediate locality).

Job summary:
The duties includes clerical, administrative, research and include scheduling travel, arranging meetings, handling information requests, preparing reports and correspondence and liaising with clients. In a nut shell, the role provides an efficient and responsive administrative, organizational, and logistical service to the Managing Partner, helping to manage and prioritize time.

Description of Duties:

All administrative tasks required for the post.
Prepare documents, including legal briefs, court papers, spreadsheets and other office-related letters.
Organize and maintain all legal files kept on-site, also maintain electronic-filing databases.
Provide the Managing Partner with direct assistance, such as helping with research for cases, gathering necessary documents for trials and submitting paperwork to courthouses.
Schedule client appointments, answering calls, taking notes during legal meetings and maintaining the firm’s legal research references.
Acts as the first point of contact for the Managing Partner’s Office and guarantees the image of all departments internally and externally.
Prepares meeting programs as well as organisational aspects and materials.
Manages and organises administration work in the office.
Arranges all aspects concerning travel i.e. detailed agendas, schedules, flights, hotel reservations, transfers, visas etc. This also includes visitors from within and outside the Cluster.
Administers the calendars and meeting schedules together with arranging meeting resources where appropriate.
Effectively takes minutes of meetings where necessary.
Develops a clear understanding and knowledge of all applicable company policies / procedures, organisation requirements and company operations.
Assist with ad-hoc project work where clearly defined administrative support is required.


This person may often close late as the need arises.

Required Skills:
The ability to multitask effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also essential for this career. Computer skills are required. Good communication skills are also necessary to instruct staff members and to address clients. Familiarity with legal terminology and government regulations will be a huge advantage for this role.

Education & Knowledge:
Must be a graduate in Secretarial, paralegal or business related studies.
Must be proficient with the keyboard and IT applications (this may be tested during the selection process).
Intermediate level in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Skills (all essential)
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and organize others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the Director’s office.
Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team.
Attention to detail and deadlines; Ability to filter information and assess priorities.
Ability to prioritize and manage own workload amid conflicting demands and busy work periods; Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.

Responsibilities
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Assist in driving project vehicle to convey authorized personnel;
Assist in ensuring project vehicle complies with the minimum operating security standards (MOSS) as well as up to date vehicle documents all the time;
Assist with day to day maintenance of ACAI Project vehicle;
Assist in general field work;
Assist in collecting and delivering mail, documents and other items to project collaborators;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications
National Diploma/National
Certificate in Education in General Agriculture or related field with 2 years’ experience performing same role.

It seeks to increase access to quality treatment services for obstetric fistula, improve prevention, strengthen the environment to support prevention, treatment and reintegration services, and to conduct research to improve the quality of services.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Community Mobilization Associate

Reports To: Community Mobilization Specialist, Fistula Care Plus

Job Summary
Based in Sokoto, the Community Mobilization Associate works closely with and assists the community mobilization specialist in proving technical assistance for community mobilization activities.
S/he will perform the below mentioned tasks:

Responsibilities
Assist to facilitate immediate and long-range community mobilization activities related to Fistula Care programming at multiple levels, including individual households, local leadership, grassroots organizations, local, state and national government, and other Implementing and Donor Agencies.
Assist with the community mobilization strategy to reflect findings of 2016 Communications Needs Assessment conducted by FC+.
Provide assistance with the identification of community mobilization activities for inclusion in work plans and budgets, including budget estimates for planned activities
Provides technical assistance in the identification of community groups in focal states which may include religious groups, women’s groups, men’s groups, local community organizations and NGOs, as well as private sector institutions. Create awareness of obstetric fistula, its prevention, access to treatment and options for reintegration
Assist in the sensitization workshops and other activities with WDCs, community leaders and groups to increase awareness about fistula prevention and treatment and to foster positive attitudes on SRHR issues
Participate in the coordination of activities with community mobilization officers from FGON, USAID or other donor-supported projects to identify possible joint activities for implementation
Provide assistance in community training activities, including leading training sessions as needed
Assist with the FC+ fistula screening and referral intervention including development of relevant SBCC materials
Provides support to the interactive voice response fistula screening hotline run by VOTO mobile, and support to PHC orientation in study areas.
Assist in the review and writing of all community mobilization reports, feasibility assessments, recommendations, and research in consultation with the FC+ team and with oversight from other senior project staffs
Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Certifications
Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized higher institution in public health, communication, health planning or related discipline.
A minimum of two years’ experience in community engagement
Experience in providing support for community mobilization or SBCC preferred
Experience with report writing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work collegially with community groups, other technical staff, experts, and with counterparts from the public, private and NGO sectors.
Exceptional interpersonal communication, teamwork skills.
Ability to work proactively, organize and manage own work and assist others to do the same
Computer skills with MS Word and MS Excel essential. Familiarity with software such as SPSS, Stata, MS Access, an advantage
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and to deal with variety of individuals from various socio economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds
