Politics / Happy Birthday Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu: We Will Not Be What They Want by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 10:00am On Apr 02, 2021
My support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu is undoubtedly, not from my sympathy for his being blackmailed by those who are clearly, and unnecessarily afraid of him, but for his indelible footprints in the politics of this country.

I can trace the Asiwaju's footprints politically from 1989 when he joined the political force raised by the Turakin Sarkin Katsina, His Excellency, Late Shehu Musa Yaradua, May Allah Take His Soul (MATHS), and the Asiwaju is the only Nigerian politician, alive, who still pursues the dreams of Turaki Sarki, Shehu, today.

Thus is why Katsina State is home to the Jagaban of Yorubaland, interestingly, "Jagaba" is the Borgu equivalent of "Asiwaju" in Lagos - at the front of building the bridge to the North Central region of the country. His political dedication to the Shehu, the Vice President, in the military government of His Excellency, Olusegun Obansajo from 13 February 1976 to 1 October 1979.

Let those who think they can confront the Asiwaju get out of their political office for just 1 year, I challenge anyone interested in becoming our next President to resign from his office, and return to face the Asiwaju politically, they are permitted to for a team against him. The Asiwaju has spent 14 years out of political office - 2 sabbath generations according to scriptures, and 2 years more than 3 political terms in a political office. I challenge all of them. This is the same man they are all gathering against. It is a very big shame!

That he took the first step to create what they are enjoying today, as a ruling party, is the "one-stop-shop" to identifying them as political opportunists. A house rat somewhere who believes his bills should be paid by others, opens his mouth to tell me that "Bola Tinubu is finished!".

Let me borrow his fingers to count how many times the Asiwaju has escaped their machinations unscathed. Now that he is beginning to trip, their prayers is seen as bring answered, another "one stop shop" to also see how wicked they are.

Only they can free their minds from thier mental slavery! The best wealth on earth is not to craftily stuff oneself up with parochial acquisitions, but to be beneficial to the poor and vulnerable people. Herelies why in Nigeria majority of our political leaders, think that politics is an end in itself: you hear them talk about "playing politics". To them politics is a game, a "dirty game". I strive after the heart of Christ, politics is hard work, it is not a "game". No wonder Nigeria basks in mediocrity.

The reason why politics is blackmailed as "dirty" is because they themselves are mentally challenge about spiritual hygiene. Pastor Reno Omokri tried to teach the Asiwaju how to brush his teeth, and as a Pastor that he claims to be, I suggest he should be more interested in brushing his attitude. I place a mirror inadvertently, on one side I see Femi Fani Kayode and on the other, Pastor Reno Omkri. Same birds: scripture talking moralists!

Meanwhile, in order to educate them at no cost, politics is actually the pathway to good governance, a vehicle given to convey leadership aspirations for equity and social justice, with an end towards good governance - this is why it depends on the power of the people, not pretenders. Their eyes are always on what they need to forcefully take from us, than what they are needed to undertake for us.

When you come into the position of leading semi-literate, and illiterates; and you see in it an avenue to fleece the people you serve, how is that the pathway to good governance? You are not right because you are smart. You are right because you are not a liar.

It is to these ones that politics is a game. It is God forbid it to them, that politics should be a pathway to good and dedicated public service. They love it when it is a regrettable one such as we are bequeathed: And these are they poisitioning themseives to take power, in order to further impoverish us as a people.

To them politics is a game that routes out, plucks off and incapacitates good governance:

Happy birthday my Leader, the Jagaban; and the Asiwaju of South West, Nigeria - I see your footprints and I see theirs combined - they struggle to remain in office, you do not. They go for any office for themselves, you go not. Who no like you make e go hang.

I will take them into Late Magufuli's Tanzania, and show how empty they are, indeed!

And indeed..."till then!"

Crime / Why Insecurity In Nigeria Appears Like A Policy Of State by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 2:12pm On Mar 20, 2021
The attached video is why it appears to me that insecurity in Nigeria is a deliberate policy of our federal government. Here on is a footage of one Nigerian who investigated the stealing of his laptop by himself, and for protection to recover it, he only availed the Nigerian Police his own generated intelligence to assist them recover his information Tech device.

Now, if just one struggling Nigerian can think of acquiring a device to assist him with security intelligence, how much is a drone? How much would it cost to saturate the Nigerian atmosphere with drones for e-survelliance?

Let us return to banditry in the country: is a non kinetic engagement of bandits by our security forces not possible, in order to take out each member of the gangs of bandits terrorizing innocent citizens in this country, without hurting those they kidnapped?

Even a 3 year old War Game loving child can use his attack machine on his "Pears 5" to pick out each individual he seeks to eliminated without incurring collateral damages. Drones are noted for accurate and pinned eliminations.

Nigeria is too good militarily to be as embarrassed by criminals like the bandits and killer herdsmen as the government has been in this administration. Are we going to lie to ourselves? I am sure government has brothers and kinsmen to protect. Likely that is why we are helpless to insecurity. And funny enough, no one is resigning for incompetence. Rather we see incompetent people rearranging themselves to govern us again.

Family / Stella Fehintola Nuhu: The Mother Of Humanity by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 2:57pm On Mar 17, 2021
Birthdays remind us of the day we all came into this life - the human life. None of us knows what we were before this life, but we have a glimpse of the after life from here. None of us know how it was on that day when we were born, but we can count the milestones we have attained and not just that we have attained them, but of which we have accomplished in life.

Attaining milestones is one thing, whether we make a difference or not, we get there because we are alive; but being accomplished is another thing, which has to do with our contributions to making a difference for, especially, others who have less or none of what is commonly shared humanly together.

As you celebrate your day today, on behalf of all the "children" who passed through your motherhood, we all share your day with you today, we share in the joy of your birth because we are the milestones you did not just attained, we are the milestones you accomplished.

As we celebrate your day today, 17 March 2021, Mother of All, another year has been accomplished in your life and another year has again begun for you with divine grace, favour and mercy. You will, of course, live long. Happy birthday Mother of All.

On this day Mother of All, we all miss your husband, my brother, my life "made easy", and my friend in life, who left us exactly 2 months ago: 17 January 2021.

May his soul continue in his rest with Christ Jesus, Amen!

Happy Birthday again ma.

Politics / 2023 Presidency: The Rejected Stone Will Always Become The Head Cornerstone by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 5:56pm On Mar 03, 2021
The word of God cannot lie for any man's machinations to stand true because his, a man's ways, conflicts with the statutes of God. I am privileged to have a case in point to write about, a story of which I have been a part of, about how a rejected stone in my State, Akwa Ibom, whose passion I was strongly attracted to, which persuaded my following after him, has continually being a rejected stone who is clearly coasting to becoming the head stone of the corner in my State, by the grace of the Almighty God, this memory and expectation informs my need for this piece.

My political role-model was one of the loud voices in the politics of my State, he was a block builder of the formative years of the PDP, and frontlinely a part of installing the first government of our State in the incumbent republic, at which time he, was and has been serially in the highest legislative chambers in Nigeria. In the need to give our State the breath of fresh air, he joined forces with others like him, who believed in the ideals that informed their decision, and successfully installed the governor they all agreed to support. That governor became his host-principal's Achilles Heels, from whom he survived the punch of death by whiskers.

He has genuinely forgiven his offender, but it baffles everyone who is in the picture, why the offender cannot muster self-driven courage to forgive himself. Like I have accepted to believe, each time the matter crosses my mind, knowing how sincere the offended is with his pardon, maybe the offender fears a reprisal, maybe it is in the line of trust. No one can give what he does not have....

Crime / Shiek Ahmad Gumi Is Ignorant Of The Organisation Of The Niger Delta Militancy by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 4:36pm On Feb 27, 2021
While this opinion was against the federal government monetizing the amnesty program afforded the Niger Delta militants because it appeared as compensating the enemies of the Nigerian State who clearly sabotaged the economic prosperity of Nigeria by their destruction of our oil facilities and the kidnaps of foreign nationals, it noted how this compensations will assume a lawful precedence that would attract a pull towards acquiecing to our federal character principle: encouraging the notion that "what is good for the goose is also good for the gender".

It is absurd for any law-abiding citizen of this country to accept any reason given by government to waste our communal wealth on empowering gun-welding individuals, who have killed, maimed and displaced other Nigerian citizens, however just their agitations are. No one would resist the granting of amnesty to any, and every repentant criminal, but it is unacceptable to monetize the amnesty afforded them especially as their victims are future made distraught by such behaviour of government: there is absolutely no reason for that.

And if granting amnesty to the enemies of the Nigerian state requires the monetizing of such amnesty granted, then it is better preferred if their criminal acts are prosecuted under our laws, and whatever our laws say should be applied to them, should be carried out without fear or favour: this is the right path to tow!

To this end, I resist Sheik Ahmad Gumi's appeal that bandits should not be called criminals. They are criminals from their activities, and not from our headcount of them. No one is sure of what Sheik Ahmad Mahmoud Gumi is pursuing, but one thing this opinion is sure of, and is clear about, is that the shiek is a respected political emissary of certain political interests0 close to him in Northern Nigeria.

Sheik Ahmad Abubakar Mahmoud Gumi may be right in asking the federal government, in line with how the Niger Delta militants were treated, for an amnesty program, and the monetization of the amnesty in favour of bandits in the North West region. First and foremost, Sheik Ahmad Gumi must accept his deficiency and ignorance in the knowledge of how the Niger Delta militancy was prosecuted. He needs tutoring on these facts available on Google YouTube app.

That the insurgency in North East Nigeria had attracted a North East Development Commission (NEDC) to the region does not make that provision by the federal government justified because it did not follow after the precedence the Niger Delta militancy created. Our government appears to be nose-driven by every disorganised gangs of criminals to part ways with our capital development funds, as I believe that for their (office holders) benefits, nothing touches their recurrent heads, to provide for frivolities, because the recurrent heads in our budgets are ready-spent monies, prepared for the use of office holders, before been appropritaed.

The first thing Sheik Gumi has got wrong is to encourage bandits to ask President Muhammadu Buhari to address them. The amnesty granted the Niger Delta militants was hard-earned and no "copy, copy" can take that sweat away from the precedence Sheik Gumi is seeking to rewrite by demanding the allusion to our federal character principle: that because the Niger Delta militancy attracted amnesty and monetary compensation, such should be afforded to young men whose face he has no privilege to behold, nor know who he us fighting to protect.

Who told Sheik Gumi that he would be tolerated? Would President Buhari be required to address people whose heads are masked up in Arabian head gears? In case those promoting the madness in the North do not know: the Niger Delta militancy had an organisation called "The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta" (MEND), through which the leaders reached out to the government. What umbrella name has Sheik Gumi created with which to engage the federal government on behalf of the bandits - is he accepting their leadership? We will resist any Islamic Shiek giving banditry in Nigeria an Islamic connotation.

If this is what Sheik Gumi targets, then Nigerians MUST resist him. For Sheik Gumi to succeed with tailing after the Niger Delta militancy, he needs the moral and mental latitude to first sit down and study how the Niger Delta militancy was prosecuted to meet the terms that earned them the amnesty that was granted them. Then he can ask Chief EK Clarke to tutor him on how to give a face of dialogue to the bandits he is supporting for amnesty and monetary compensations.

Religion / What Does God Truly Expects From Us? by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 3:31pm On Feb 27, 2021
We know that all things came by the breath of God, by his word, so, God' s word is upon all creation. God' s word made the tree of life, which fruit elongates life (Genesis 3: 22) and Jesus revealed that this tree is the knowledge of God and his Christ (John 17: 3); we also understand that the food tree is the word of God. God told Adam that he will die in the day that he ate of the forbidden tree (Genesis 2: 17), and the only antidote to death is life– a renewal, a resurrection, and Jesus is the Resurrection and the life (John 11: 25).

The tree of life stood before Adam as the word of restoration, and he needed to anchor his faith on the tree and await he who has the mandate over it. Faith involves waiting (watching and praying). Although they felt the impact of their disobedience, Adam did not look forward to the Lord' s appearing (II Timothy 4: cool and when God appeared to him, he proved not to love his appearing (Genesis 3: 8- 10). From this time on, Christ became hid to man until he was revealed at the baptism of John. At this time, men of ancient depth beheld the manifestation of his glory, the one who came down upon the mountain at Horeb to speak with Israel but they refused him.

Adam was discovered among the trees of the garden, hiding himself, finding leaves to sew as covering: a self- help initiative. Faith does not pretend, or assume to know; faith itself is based on knowledge.

The trees of the garden were for Adam' s food, his pleasure and refreshment, but he found a hiding place in them, to shelter him from been accountable for his disobedience, and this happened when the word of God came seeking him (Luke 10: 40- 42; Acts 6: 1- 2). Many people today are hidden in their various comfort zones, some in their occupation; and the service of God, the paramount vocation, is neglected. This is the gospel message of Genesis 3: 8- 10.

Not minding the slimy responses Adam and Eve gave, Christ left them a hope by eternally consigning all the powers of the devil to the feet of the man (Genesis 3: 15) because from the beginning, the lord set the man to superintend over the works of his hands; and it was Christ who began to work out the realization of this hope (John 9: 3- 5). We all ought to brighten our little corners to see what rays of glory will shine over the earth.

Jesus himself declared it well ahead of time in John 3: 14- 15, " As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" and when it was accomplished, scripture declares in Luke 23: 44- 46 " And it was about the sixth hour (12. 00hrs) and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the curtain of the temple was torn in the middle"

Darkness over the earth was not a new phenomenon, neither was it surprising that the sun was darkened, after all Prophet Joel prophesied it (Joel 2: 31). But the significant thing for consideration under this study is the tearing of the temple curtain into two halves in the middle: from up to bottom, not bottom to up as it should be naturally. We shall consider this subsequently in this book, but let us understand the mystery of the body of Jesus.

Religion / What Can We Do To Pease God That He Has Not Done For Us? by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 3:21pm On Feb 27, 2021
The significant points in this passage have to do with man' s creation and what God has accomplished for him before the earth was formed. It was God who made man and was mindful of him when he made him (Genesis 1: 26- 28). No other creation received a mind- full attention as the man did. God also made out time to visit him (Genesis 3: 8- 9). This shows how close God desires his relationship with man to be. Man' s creation, although made a little lower than the angels, warranted setting him up over God' s handwork, and it necessitated God putting all things under subjection under his feet.

Man is a tripartite being, but his essence as a tripartite being was concealed by God to the angelic realm because man was empowered to personally uncover his spiritual essence. This was the reason why Jesus was not recognized when he marched his spoils into the heavenly realm, because he was in the garb (clothing) of man. Psalms 24: 7- 8 says " Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be you lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the king of glory shall come in. Who is this king of glory? The lord (is) strong and mighty; the lord (is) mighty in battle. "

We understand that darkness had positioned itself against the earth and all created things in the beginning. The redemption of the earth therefore was entrusted to the man, who was given a mind- full consideration in his creation. Hence man was made a point of contact with the earth, his composition includes the dust of the earth (Genesis 2: 7) as of his flesh, just like the beast of the field (Genesis 2: 19), and the lord God was mindful to breathe into him the breath of life; an investment of himself in man. Christ invested himself in man and demanded that man also invest himself on the things that were put under him. However, we have grown to exploit all the things that were kept under us, instead of investing ourselves in them.

This is exactly what causes the light in men to be darkness (Matthew 6: 23). Many think they know, but are yet ignorant, because their knowledge is only real to them alone. Sometimes the choices we make based on what we see makes us spiritually blind and irresponsible.

How?

Genesis 3: 7 says " And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knewj that they were naked; and they sewed (exploited) fig leaves together and made themselves (change of vocation) aprons (materialism)" : they exploited what was kept under them, they changed their vocation by misapplying what they exploited and their target was materialism– to primarily meet their perceived physical and natural needs.

Adam and Eve exploited the availability of the fig leaves, changed their vocations of ordering creation into being fashion creators, in pursuit of materialism. This didn' t make them less Adam and Eve, but their mandate as agents of light against darkness was forfeited and they stood as symbols of condemnation. They even traded blames.

Crime / Propaganda Can Never Establish A Geography For Herdsmen Criminality by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 5:00pm On Feb 26, 2021
There is no blackmail that would suffice for and after the fact and truth behind the presence of nouveau herdsmen in Nigeria, who are not a part of the original ones we have continuously inhabited for many years in our country, and as a nation of diverse and heterogeneous representations.

The addressee of the media briefing (see video link below), Comrade Abdul'Aziz Suleiman, is in absolute error for attempting to track an entire social issue along political lines. Herding is a social endeavour, not a political undertaking. The illegal possession of illegal firearms and ammunition is a criminal issue that can never fall to its politicalisation by some Northern politicians and their hirelings.

It is therefore an exaggeration for Comrade Suleiman to generalise a purely Fulani herdsmen issue, making it appear unfortunately, as not just an issue relative to the Fulanis generally, but also erroneously including the Hausas in his summation to score a dastardly point. This is an attempt at politicalizing a criminal antisocial behaviour, for which our government should be encouraged to nip-in-the-bud, than to trivilise it, before it escalates beyond containable measures.

Who were the political leaders in the South West who prodded the Fulani man who mistakenly poured out his loads of tomatoes in the front of a Yoruba woman's shop, necessitating the woman attempting to detain him to clean up the mess he actuated, which outcome resulted in the death of one in the hands of the Fulani man? That was what caused the Shasha market mayhem.

Why should Comrade Abdul'Aziz Suleiman attempt to alter the true narrative? Are there no Northerners causing trouble for Nigeria because of the 2023 presidency? What is it about the 2023 presidency that is so nightmarish to politicians in the North?

Was it not the Igangan issue which threw Sunday Ogboho into national limelight? Who are the politician in the South West who initiated the kidnapping of a son of Igangan, who resides abroad, who was home for Christmas and was visiting his farm. This son was kidnapped by some herdsmen, which resulted in his ransome asked to be channelled through the Serikin Fulani of Igangan. Was this not why Sunday Igboho sacked him for making himself an accomplice in the kidnapping of a prominent indigene of Igangan?

Why are some groups in Northern Nigeria not ready to face the fact that in this contraption called Nigeria, we, the Southeners have found ourselves, and other regions tolerating the arrogance of the North so much, and it makes us very derelict to allow the unfortunate voice of the North to appear to shout others down illegitimately.

All reasonable Nigerians are hereby called to resist people like this who trivalise violence for politics, and lie that a social crime can be forced into the eyes of ethnic allowances. We have law abiding herdsmen and we have criminal herdsmen - this is our reality as Nigerians, however the North wants to hide behind one finger.

The outcome of the Niger State Transport Company bus kidnap by bandits, exposed the menace we are confronting, in terms of insecurity in this country, was, and has been the outcome of the undemocratic engagements of these criminalise to tilt the outcome of our national elections by some Northern politicians, likely the governors. Banditry in Nigeria arose as a result of winning the past elections in Northern Nigeria.

For how long should we continue in this calamity, where we are bequeathed with characteristic hypocrites as leaders over our lives and our wealth? Can we actually do nothing to these miscreant-leaders?

Politics / Carrying The Founding Fathers Alone Is The Way Forward For The APC by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 5:06pm On Feb 22, 2021
It is appreciated how the APC governors have rescued the party from the clear misrule and inarticulation of the former NWC of the party, especially as Comrade Adams Oshiomhole took that power blocs in the party for granted. So I commend the APC Gjovernors for taking that bold step to rescue the party from the stringent, undemocratic hold of the former National Chairman.

It is said that those who pay the piper dictate the tunes: however, in politics and in partisan political matters, this cannot apply, otherwise the present tamed-down animosity between Governor Nyesom Wike and his protege National Chairman of the main opposition PDP, "Total Chair" Uche Secondus, would not have arisen.

So it is important for leaders to understand how, in the fame of personal and collective interest, and where personal interest seems as almighty to collective interest, it becomes severe cataracts on the eyes of any leader who imposes his personal interest on others, against allowing leadership emerge through the decision of the people.

Members of the ruling APC have been variously assured by the present leadership of the party put in place by the resolution of the NEC to produce the executing structure to administer the party onto producing the next Presidential election in Nigeria of their voice in matters affecting the party. This must be seen to be actualised.

And in the appreciation of the APC governors, in how the National Caretaker Committee members of the party were painstakingly nominated and assigned, it is this opinion's advice to ask the governors to be wary of the instinct to dictate their personal interests to the party based on personal political goals. They are resist-able.

Governor Nyesom Wike's contemplation of imposing Chairman Uche Secondus on his party to assume automatic control over his it has backfired. The present war of attrition in the PDP stems from the differences between the godfather and his godson. I pray that other politicians would embrace this truth to avoid the its pitfalls. This has necessitated this call to the APC Governors to resist any urge to control the working if the APC. Itbwill be resisted

What is happening in the PDP will not happen in the APC if the necessary watches are viewed from the towers of truth. Unlike the collapsing influence of the one man rule of a governor over the PDP, in the APC, there is a collegiate attempt by the power bloc exerted by the governors to give the party a direction.

As laudable as the collegiate arrangement of power delegation, contributed to stabilise the party, the college of governors must avoid dictating their interest to the leadership of the party. It is clearly noted how the political influence of the PDP began to wear-out when the party governors and the structure they instituted the denouncement of the interests of the founding fathers of the party.

Every constitution has its body and its spirit. The APC's constitution also possesses its body and its spirit: it contains a body of letters and the spirit that rules the laws it carries towards good governance. No one can truly work with the body of a constitution to achieve good governance when its rule towards good governance is trampled under foot.

It is also appropriate to know that the spirit of every constitution is afforded by those who won the vision of creating the body, and pursued the mission revealed in it to success. If founding fathers are therefore cut off, the vision of the party is also cut off, when the vision is cut off, an abuse of the spirit of the constitution manifest, and this is where I care to advice that the APC governors ought to help the party to remain enbloc now that they seem to dictate the tunes.

Asking them therefore to allow the structure they have accepted to work with, and providing necessary assistance in aid our repair as a party, the governors ought to allow this leadership a free hand to control and direct the affairs of the party, in collaboration with the founding fathers. The recent attack on the registration and revalidation exercise of party members was a call out by some founders of the party to a seeming sectional hijack of activities of the party.

It is easily recognised how the national caucus meetings of the party has been suspended and sidelined in the 2 previous meetings of the NEC of the party against earlier respect for them, and it hurts every founder who is not a NEC member, and for whom the Caucus arrangement provided a voice in the party before taking binding and compelling decisions reached at NEC. This is a delicate position the party has found itself

Politics / Jonathan's 2015 Lost: FFK Got It Twisted About Bukola Saraki by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 4:52pm On Feb 22, 2021
I beg to disagree with the position of a former Minister who supervised the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and subsequently that of Aviation in the Obasanjo administration, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, who has a worrying tendency within him that always tends to push him into attempting to change historical narratives around almost every consequential topical discuss in Nigeria.

This time, he has forwarded an unacceptable narrative around the true reason why former President Goodluck Jonathan lost his bid to return to the Aso Rock Villa as the President of the Federal Republic in 2015.

Reacting to a recent visit to the former President by the Head of the National Reconciliation Committee of Nigeria's main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Nigeria's Senate President, Dr. Olubukola Olusola Saraki, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, again brewed a strange and a narrowminded submission alluding that 2015 loss of former President Jonathan to the betrayal of the former Governor of Kwara State, who, at the time of Jonathan's loss at that election, was only a floor member-Senator who chaired the Senate Committee on Environment as at then. What powers could he have welded or muzzled at that time, that would be enough to effect such overrated goal?

Chief Femi Fani Kayode, who ran the presidential campaign media secretariat for the former President, likely in his attempt to frown at the possible truncation of the outcome of the pressure on the former President to defect to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), as it has been longed rumoured, is clearly scared of the overall failure of his permutation of a mass movement of PDP members into the APC. After all, Senator Saraki's visit came after his own (FFK) visit to the former President. Should he see himself as the only bonafide PDP member accepted to visit Dr Jonathan? I permit everyone to wonder at him.

Assuming it is true that Dr Saraki was responsible for President Jonathan's loss in the 2015 president election, was that not about 6 years ago, is it not a blackmail to suggest that nothing has changed in the politics of this country since then? Something is driving FFK around which is other than excellent reasoning. Must he always fight the cause he enjoys basking in when another pursues same? I have never known a more selfish homosapien like Chief Femi Fani Kayode. He is always the right guy in his own eyes

Herelies the pathetic hypocrisy of Chief Fani Kayode, and the uncovering of his blackmail against Dr Bukola Saraki. If it is true that politics is a game of interests where there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemy but of personal or collective interests, why should it be a problem for Chief Fani Kayode to appreciate this truth, especially as one who is guiltier than Dr Saraki in the mastery of the game of betrayal and political deceit.

The saying "Yoruba ronu!" had his own father's input to why this saying evolved among the Yoruba people. Would the pot be justified in accusing the kettle for being black?

For the young men who have no access to that history: in our First Republic, Western Nigeria, as the entire South West Migeria was known and called as at then, we had our first politically motivated and deadly riots in Nigeira, which consumed the entire Western Nigeria, was labelled "the wild wild west". Chief Remilekun Fani Kayode, FFK's father, a brilliant lawyer, was indicted as selling off Pa Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo, the leader of Western Nigeria as at then to local interests outside the South West.

Indeed, a kid will always grow up to become a goat. A son must always grow up to be like his father: except he encounters divine transformation, and he is set free from all inherited encumberances and tendencies in deficit of moral premium and capital.

Let me accept that Chief Femi Fani Kayode suffers selective amnesia, and in pursuit of a sound Nigeria political conscience, being her moral agent, let me assume his ignorance and help his misunderstanding: President Goodluck Jonathan lost the 2015 Presidential election for allowing his domestic appendage prominent and unconstitutional interference in governance at executive and party levels.

Politics / Dr Jonathan 2015 Lost: FFK Got It Twisted On Bukola Saraki by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 4:04pm On Feb 22, 2021

Politics / Carrying The Founding Fathers Along Is The Way Forward For The APC by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 3:51pm On Feb 22, 2021

Itbwill be resisted.

The recent attack on the registration and revalidation exercise of party members was a call out by some founders of the party to a seeming sectional hijack of activities of the party...

Romance / The Story Of How 14 February Bacame Valentine's Day And The Inherent Advice by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 11:44am On Feb 16, 2021
As history records: Saint Valentine was a Catholic priest, who lived in the Rome of 250 A.D. Rome, at that time was ruled by an Emperor Claudius Caesar, who wanted a large army for Rome, and he thought that men would voluntarily join, as every nation's muscles of importance was expressed in the strength of the army, measured by the number of troops. But Claudius Caesar discovered that many men just did not want to leave their wives and lovers to sign up for battle. This made Claudius Caesar very mad.

The Emperor evolved a crazy idea, which required men to be barred from marriage, believing that the men would not resist enlistment in his army. So he decided not allow the conduct and officiating of more marriages, and passed the law banning marriages. Saint Valentine, then notorious for encouraging couples deciding to get wedded, thought it ridiculous, and believed that such decision was an expression of madness. The fact that the decree banning further marriages, spelling death penalty for any violation of the law.

This threat did not in any way restrain Saint Valentine from his continuous performance of marriage ceremonies. However, from the time the ban was instituted, Saint Valentine upgraded to conduct this solemn ceremony secretly, and mostly at night. He would conduct the exchange of bows in hush tones, while being attentive to possible steps of approaching soldiers.

As was destined. Saint Valentine's attention that last night, was distracted from hearing the footsteps of soldiers as they approached his hideout. The couple whose matrimony he was solemnising escaped, while he was arrested and thrown into the jail, knowing fully well that he would await death as his penalty.

This drew empathy to all classes of the citizens of Rome, especially among the youths. Many youths visited the jail to visit to encourage him. They brought flowers with notes of love with feelings of great affection which they threw up through his window. They all needed him to know that they all believed in love he demonstrated, and they assured him of their identifying with his cause.

One among the young people was the daughter of the prison warders, loved so affectionately by her father. She asked and got permitted by her father to visit Saint Valentine in his jail cell under security watch. Noth friends would often sit and talk for several hours. She would tell Saint Valentine that she believed that he did the right thing by ignoring the Claudius Caesar, to keep on in performing marriage ceremonies.

On the day Saint Valentine.was to be executed, while his young friend was away and he thought it wise to leave a note for her, personally.signing it in the words: "Love from your Valentine". Saint Valentine died on February 14, 269 A.D. This was how February 14 is celebrated as Saint Valentine's day.

Saint Valentine backed up his belief in love with action. He insisted on performing marriage ceremonies even though he knew he could die for dusobeying the decree of the Emperor Claudius Caesar. "For God so loved the world that he gave..." Even God, in his demonstration of his love for entire creation took action: he gave His only son for the redemption of entire creative tendencies.

Any love therefore that us not expressed in giving but in taking with no back up with an act of love is a fraud. Love is an active verb. 1 John 3: 16,18 says "Herein perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:.and we ought also to lay down our lives for the brethren. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."

Politics / The Hypocrisy Of The APC Governors Around The 2023 Presidency by IniAkpanMorgan(m): 7:12am On Feb 15, 2021
What we read in the news nowadays and what we sometimes find on viral videos may actually not be what they are said to be. This opinion arrived at this submission after following the parambulation of Chief Femi Fani Kayode among some important Nigerians in the last few days, which were earlier than his meeting with Governor Bello Metawalle of Zamfara State, it is worth being careful with what we mentally ingest as true news.

After standing next to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State when the Governor addressed the press on the defection of Chief Kayode from the PDP to the APC, Chief Kayode came out to deny that he had defected to the APC. Now who is the liar between these 2 important leaders that have emerged in our country? This is why this opinion holds that no one knows what to believe with the news and viral videos we come across these days.

Just yesterday, the news on the position of APC governors concerning the zoning agreement, entered into by the founders and leaders of the party, as the outcome the mega merger of the parties that bundled together to form the APC, which informed the handing on of the first presidential ticket to the North, accepting that after 2 terms in office by President Muhammadu Buhari, power would shift to the South, was reported as no longer tenable in the views of the APC Governors.

The position of APC Governors to set aside an agreement which they were not a part of, reportedly influenced by the decision of the major opposition party in the country, the PDP, to field a candidate from the North, is absurd and very disappointing. Absurd and disappointing in the sense that the APC Governors have shown to be scared of the position of the PDP, a situation which throws up their lack of faith in themselves, and in their achievements as political office holders.

I refuse to hold the opinion that because I am nobody in the party, therefore I should not mention what I see as troublesome, begs good reasoning. I do not see anything big in my being the President of this country, but, and only in having the opportunity there is for me to win a political party presidential ticket - exactly what the APC Governors are attempting to manipulate.

I am in my 3rd year as a politician, and I think that if I cannot be the President, I should, at least, be one of the true consciencesl of my party, in spite of what consequence my contributions to the party fetches me, for which I owe my allegiance and loyalty to the Almighty God who has permitted me to live on, and to my fellow Nigerians who did not choose this pathetic country as theirs. Something must kill a man one day, and my only prayer is that I die with a free conscience.

The most troubling question is why the Governors want to take the APC in the direction that the PDP trailed for some close to 16 years, until Nigerians were tired of the party. A simple analythical mathematics, studied with diligence, returned political power from the PDP to the APC in 2015. No army goes into battle with redundant troops, and no war commander approaches the battle front with fear of being defeated.

So, if the APC Governors' permutation for the 2023 presidency is intended to rest on the PDP's agenda, then the wrong focus has been adopted because who knows what will happen in the PDP tomorrow? And my party is seen to become a "follow follow" ruling party, when it should be the leading political light, with her own plans adoptable by the PDP.

So I feel sad that in the face of serious work ahead, the APC Governors have chosen to play the cards of cowardice. Let it be stated clearly that the main problem the APC will confront in the next election, if the Governors think that they can misuse the power God bestowed upon them to tow the tracks of those who have come and gone before them, then they should expect the same fate that befell those who left the political space for them. Power is like life, it is transient. What is the reason for the fear?

I truly do not see any fear, I can rather see a class of pretenders. It started with the notion to renege on the agreement that ceded power to the North in 2015. Rather than the fear of the PDP, I see the APC Governors being careful to avoid the political clout of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, should the presidential ticket be zone to the south - are they too lately attempting to alter the rules of democracy?

And if the Governors, currently controlling the structure of the party, tell us that the present registration and revalidation of party membersip is meant to cede power to all her members, why are the Governors in a huge hurry to decide for the members where the next president should come from?

I am from South South Nigeria, and in the decision of the APC Governors, as a party member, I find my region cancelled out in that decision they have taken. How fair is that? Of the 20 States in this country controlled by the APC, only 7 States belong in the South and 13 reside in the North.

No State in the South South has a say in the decision of the APC Governors and as it appears, the APC Governors from the North are attempting to exploit their majority status to selfishly situate the presidency in the North because they are Northerners. How does that equate the sacrifice of the south when the South came into the APC with 7 Governors and the North came in with just 4, but had the Presidency ceded to the North, with President Muhammadu Buhari enjoying the first shot.

History will judge the proposed injustice, and let it be known that it will further polarise our unity because we will not shut our voice to a mentality of a people who think they are unconstitutional superior to others.

Why should the North continue to dictate the privileges of the South politically? Why did the North not protest the initial agreements entered into by our leaders before the 2015 elections? The worst and a painful kind of hypocrisy.

One thing though, our leaders in the South have spoken: Minister Amaechi, Minister Fashola, and even Governor El Rufai have all conceded in their various submissions that power should be ceded to the South, and nothing should temper with that position.

The North can do whatever it likes to do, they have no lot with the South to determine what the South should take, as long as the federal character principle, which seemingly is more beneficial to the North, is concerned. How has the South influenced what the north takes before now? Southern Nigeria will revolt against the North if the zoning of the presidency to the South is not respected by the North.

We will sensitized our people, and open up to them the machinations of the leaders who are in politics for themselves, exploiting the people's vulnerability to hunger and utter neglect, a situation prevailed upon by misgovernance. This must stop forthwith! We are no fools. The APC Governors', by their insinuation, are selfish, exhibiting self-centred greed to retain the privilege opportunities available to all, and this is a very sad and unforgivable intention.

Our foolishness as a people is enough. Who is hungry? Who is he or her who loves money? How far would food take us to in this life? What can money really do to the breath that keeps us alive? I am saying that this Nigeria that we have, can be better than what we have today, if we would stand up to our leaders. They have taken us for granted for too long.
