No school gives transcript to student in Nigeria but we managed to get it using our No6...But you dont have to worry...u can be interviewed without transcript....as it is not compulsory..

You are right though, but some schools actually give student copy without really cutting corners.......

Hey Guys, Here is my transcript.
Arrived there around 6:50am while my interview was slated for 8am. Met a long queue, thought I was too punctual, not knowing that all those were also for 8am. About 80% of them were for short term visa so their own interview was held just a bit after the security post. Only long term visa applicants go right inside the embassy. Good enough heard the almighty Mr.Paul was on leave so our files were not even checked before entering inside.

I went straight into the waiting hall around 7:50am and found 16 other waiting applicants but about 15 applicants came later. There are four(4) interviewing rooms and the 4 of them were working,.meaning 4 consular officers attended to us. Each interview took over an hour. At 11:54am, it was my turn. The light on the door of room 4 blinked and it was my turn. It was a man I assume is in his late 30s. Speaks more like he didn’t grow up in Nigeria. I think he has a German background.

Me: Goodmorning Sir
VO: Morning. Can I have your passport and your appointment letter?
Me: (Gave them to him)
VO: Looked at it, scanned it and entered the whole information in the system. Printed it and gave it to me to confirm every information was correctly entered. Also gave me a little form to sign. That form is an agreement that I’ll fund my account before my visa is processed. I signed.
VO: Can I have your documents? Originals, then two sets of photocopies.
Me: (Gave)
VO: Great! If you could arrange your documents this way, why can’t other applicants do same? (Repeated it thrice while going through them). I had to tell him..Thank you for the compliment.
VO: Are you married?
Me: NO!
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure
VO: Any child, legal or illegal?
Me: NO!
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure!
VO: You are going to Technical University of Ingolstadt, right?
Me: Yes Sir.
VO: Who contacted the school for you?
Me: I did myself Sir
VO: How did you find the school?
Me: Told him
VO: Which course?
Me: Renewable Energy Systems
VO: Why this course?
Me: Answered.
VO: Summarized all the points I made and typed. Read it out for me to hear. I agreed.
VO: So why Germany?
Me: Answered
VO: Why not study in Nigeria?
Me: Currently, no Nigerian University offers this programme.
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure!
VO: Why not UK, US or Canada?
Me: Answered.
VO: Summerized the 3 points I made and read it for me, then typed it in.
VO: So what do you know about Germany?
Me: Started Hitting it.…He sensed I was really prepared for that part. When I started mentioning the countries that Germany shares border with He stopped. Said, its ok.
VO: Mention the states in Germany.
Me: Mentioned. When I mention a state he’ll ask for the capital. So I started with the states I knew their capitals. Once I mentioned 6 of them. He told me to stop.
VO: You have really tried!
Me: Thank you Sir.
VO: So where is the location of Germany?
Me: Western Central part of Europe
VO: Are you sure? Cos your colleague that just left said its located in the East of Europe
Me: I’m sure Sir. It’s in the Western-Central part of Europe.
VO: What was your project topic?
Me: Told him. He never asked anything in that area. Only typed the topic.
VO: Have you ever been denied a German visa?
Me: No.
VO: How about a schegen Visa?
Me: No.
VO: Do you have a relative in Germany?
Me: No
VO: How about in any Schengen Country?
Me: Yes. I have a brother in Spain. He left Just last month.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a priest and he has been sent for his studies
VO: Is he under a scholarship?
Me: Yes
VO: How many siblings do you have?
Me: said it
VO: Whats your position?
Me: Told him
VO: Who is paying for your trip?
Me: My parents
VO: What do they do?
Me: said it.
VO: What is your average family income? Can you give a rough estimate?
Me: Yes. Mentioned.
VO: What do you know about Ingolstadt?
Me: Started talking. He stopped me.
VO: How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany?
Me: Applied for accommodation, going through the schools brochure, and learning some basic deutsch with the help of some mobile applications
VO: So what can you say in German?
Me: I can greet and I can introduce myself in German.
VO: Okay. Let me hear you introduce yourself in German.
Me: My name ist Dominic, Ich comme aus Nigeria, Ich wohne in Ingolstadt.
VO: Clapped. You mean you learnt those from your mobile app?
Me: Yes Sir….smiling
VO: What more can I say than to wish you a safe trip and a great time in Deutschland. Just try and fund your account as soon as possible,.The earlier the better.
Me: Thank you Sir. I will. Do have a great day.
VO: You too.

All I can say is, be yourself and read as much as you can. This is just what happened rightn that room. I pray for success to all those yet to be interviewed too. You’ll come out smiling.

My application was rejected today on the ground that i couldn't provide means of finance.

And i plan funding my block account this week. Is there any way i can appeal that or do i need to start afresh?

When did you go for interview?
Where you given funding deadline date?
What's the interval between the interview date and the date you were sent a mail to fund which includes deadline date( should you receive any mail at all after the interview before the reject came in).

I actually intend using latter of sponsor but don't know the likelihood of getting visa, please the gurus in the house help by share more light

There should be no issue so far your sponsor stays in Germany and as well meet the criteria ......

Hello. So sorry for the rejection. You can write an appeal to the embassy explicitly detailing your case and how funding has been an issue because of bureaucratic hassles. Hopefully they'll be able to see reason with you.

Quick question: did the embassy give you a deadline to fund? If they did, how long was it?

You have to open account with zenith bank, I used my savings account with zenith bank, then go along with your fintiba /Deutsch bank details, international passport, admission letter . You will be given form A to fill and a plain sheet to write a formal letter authorizing the bank to debit your account and credit your fintiba/Deutsch bank account with the required Euro.....

good evening house. I've been an observer on this thread, Mehn you guys have really been trying.. thumbs up to everybody. I'm trying to apply for the summer semester. I already know which one to apply to but I've got some few questions concerning the documents needed

1. The school I'm trying to apply to is requesting the passing grade in my country and best passing grade. how do I go about that? can I juss write that in MS word document or what cuz I learnt they deal with certified documents.

2. They are asking about information of the used cp (credit point) per semester in my country too. how do I go about that?

3. concerning photocopies of my documents that need to be certified. can I certify it here in Ibadan (thinking they shud have a high court). cuz I'm serving here.

I'm awaiting anybody's opinion on this and a quick reply will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

My interview is coming up next week, and I'm still putting stuff together in readiness for my date with destiny... Two of the requirements are currently giving me plenty wahala. I'm quite confused on how to go about fixing them and would appreciate your kind responses on what to do to resolve them.

First off, the matter of the Motivation Letter. I'd like to know if there's any standard format to follow in writing one. Is there a maximum length (say two A4 pages?), or is it as the spirit leads?

Second, is the prepaid envelope we're required to submit. I was at the FedEx office at Allen yesterday, and the lady I met told me it's one thousand naira to obtain one, that she had sold some already. Fear catch me well well because I've read on this platform that it's 7K if one purchases from FedEx. I was confused because I thought the purpose of the envelope is to ferry the documents to Germany and back. 1K seemed to cheap to me.

Helpful responses (especially from those who've been through this process already) to the queries above will be highly appreciated.

P.S. I went to a 'Business Centre' to get the scratch card, but I was given some pieces of paper with digits on it. I promptly declined until I get proper clarification too.

As regards Motivation letter to the embassy, a link was posted few pages back or in part 3.But seems I have a copy as well which I believe is also a format you can use to draft yours. if you are interested you might as well pm me. Time waits for no man.


As regards waec scratch card, the white paper issue has been in practice for some time especially in cyber cafe and some business centre. According to the last person that went for her interview she wasn't asked but that does not say you should not take it along. Hence, since your geographic location is within Lagos .I might as well describe a place for you to get your scratch card (not white paper stuff)

As for me, no problems either way. But if you want to certify at the embassy its free for the first three set of documents after which you have to pay a minimum of 10Euros for subsequent ones.

As regards the High court I don't really know the amount they charge per document.

I did mine at the embassy so don't really know much about highcourt.
It's a matter of choice.

Well, its possible your admission process differs from others. But I want to believe they ought to have contacted you unless if they want to roll out at exactly July ending which might not be too favourable considering what Lagos embassy is saying right now as regards interview.

Got to the embassy gate around 5:58 am " the one that demarcates American and German Embassy" come see crowd for there "American embassy people reach like dem wan go do crusade"
Got to German consulate by 6:01 am. Had to greet those on queue "they are visit visa" (E no concern).
Paulinus appeared around 6:09 am and started singing morning devotion songs from his android phone. The guy is just too principled and bit unethical "he told one OLD woman to sit behind even as there was no space for her to pass to go and sit behind as those in front were even willing to go back because of her age" be wary of him.
He called on student visa applicants "I was the only one on ground, so he called on me demanding for my appointment letter and passport"
We started sorting documents and on the long run asked of my baptism or vassination card, I told him I don't have and he said why? I told him I'm a Muslim and he said he's not talking about religion here that even Muslims have "with his ugly fair face". He started reasoning others applicants issue. He told me authoritatively that if any documents are missing and was told to go bring them, he wouldn't let me in anymore.
Successfully, I crossed his shackles constructed route.
Inside the security phase those guys were forming gods as if they are the one to gv me visa. Them too do like boss, I Register my name and passed through.
I was directed to go through the green line which I did. Entered the office and was shivering because of the cold and had to move back Cos of the A/C, very very cold.
I was called in by the VO "one small black Nigerian" (very gorgeous though but pulls in commanding character, from her charismatic self)
She started by
Ur documents, Ur original Certificates, Ur Visa fee, Ur courier envelope "thought I forgot that, she gave a command that I should go get it within 3 minutes" while the thing dey my documents.
Interview Proper
1. What do u want to study?
2. Tell me about ur intended course.
3. How many years is ur programme?
4. How many semester?
5. Who told u about Germany?
6. What do u intend doing after your programme?
7. What are ur plans after study?
8. Why not USA, UK and Canada?
9. Ur course modules? The part that fears me most but the easiest, while she keeps typing. N-B: this part is KEY.
10. What are ur plans for accommodation?
11. Who's funding you?
12. When do u intend funding?
13. How do ur father get finance? -- very persistent about this. They kept that girl there to intimidate one on thi part.
14. What do you know about Germany?
15. Do you have anyone there? I told her capital YES "an uncle in Berlin" -- she asked this part twice. Mentioned Honourableseyi's name as my friend sef. Una wey remain make Una no vex
16. What was ur degree project work on?
17. What was ur grade?
18. Do you know anyone in Germany? Yes, an uncle in Berlin -- how is he related to you. He's my mum relative. She kept typing and ended with thank you -- we would get back to U.

That was all --- wish me well and I use dx opportunity to pray for other interview prospects.
