Family / Re: Looking After Inlaws Is Not A Man Responsibility - Reno Omokri by Integrafamoo: 5:40pm On Dec 08, 2023

Reno Omokri has revealed that looking after in-laws is not a man’s responsibility.

He said the fastest route to pov£rty is marrying a woman who believes her family is also your responsibility. From time to time, you can help only if you can afford it. But, accepting a duty to look after in-laws is not responsibility. It is stupity! Any girl with that type of mentality is a liability. And her family will result in your instability,

Is he right or wrong?

This is a wrong school of thought. It all depends on your capacity and how useful your wife and her families are. Some in-laws can stand with you in time of crises than your so called relatives

Food / Re: How My Sister Treated Me Like A King With. by Integrafamoo: 4:34pm On Dec 06, 2023
naijamanyoutube:
I was in Manchester for 2 weeks as my first stop on my Europe tour, I plan to visit over 20 European countries on this tour.

I stayed with my sister and her family in Manchester, I was treated like a king with so many delicious Nigerian food.

I took pictures of some of them and here they are. These food might look like no big deal to many on here, but it is for me, since I don’t know how to cook and I live in Las Vegas where it’s very expensive to eat Nigerian food at a restaurant.

I’m in Edinburgh, Scotland at the moment, will make my way to Glasgow, Scotland tomorrow, and then board a bus that will take me to Northern Ireland. The bus will drive onto a Ferry to cross the Irish Sea. I will stay one day in Belfast and then jump on a train to places I don’t know yet, but I have to be at the airport in Dublin on Monday the 23rd of October to catch a flight to London, where I will stay with Dj Douglas for 1 week. He’s is a childhood friend of mine. He’s the one who taught Dj Neptune how to Dj. The last time I saw Douglas face to face was back in December 2005, when he went to the airport with me when I was traveling to Amsterdam from Lagos, on vacation. Before I got back to Lagos in January of 2006, Douglas don japa go London. Lol

He’s established now with a wife and kids.

I will post more as I go about my journey. Stay tuned.
While some relatives would keep discouraging others from joining them

The video above was shared by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, to showing the level of encroachment of waterways and canals by real Estate developers in Lagos.

He wrote on social media,

"A drone footage of the encroachment of the drainage channel on System 156 (fully built) Igbo-Efon to Ikota channel in Lekki. Red arrow indicator showing the extent of encroachment and total blockade and diversion of system 156 Into system 157 by the developers and property owners. All the structures were fully built on the setbacks and alignment which is clearly an alteration of the Drainage Master Plan along the area.

"We have served several contravention notices and enforcement will begin after the expiration of the contravention notices."
This is the reason why Tinubu is so powerful. He still has the control of Lagos government. Every wealthy Nigerian has investment in Lagos. They hardly go against him for the fear. You can't erect buildings of that gravity in Lagos without approval.

These people should be appreciated for investing in such a legacy project. Each University generates thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities. University establishment is not a business that can yield returns within 20years. If not properly managed, proprietor may keep pumping money into it till death comes. There are many lucrative businesses out there.
The only thing that could attract politicians to such investment is that, the school platform could be used for money laundering. Hence, they deserve applause.
People emphasize more on what students pay; They pay once annually but staff get salary 12times in a year, apart from daily runnings of the university. Even our public universities that have been in existence for over 40years cannot sustain without monthly subvention

Politics / Re: President Tinubu Seeks Senate Approval For Fresh $8.6billion, €100million Loans by Integrafamoo: 4:53pm On Nov 28, 2023
ogododo:
The president made the request through a letter to the Senate, read during the plenary by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, on Tuesday, noting that the fund was to execute critical projects in different sectors.

The President Bola Tinubu-led administration has sought the approval of the Nigerian Senate for $8.6billion and €100million borrowing plan.

The president made the request through a letter to the Senate, read during the plenary by the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, on Tuesday, noting that the fund was to execute critical projects in different sectors.

The request was said to be part of the federal government 2022-2024 external borrowing plan approved by former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, according to the letter.

Tinubu explained that the projects to be funded with the loan cuts across different sectors of the economy, and were selected based on economic evaluation and the expected contribution to the country’s development.

The letter reads in part;, “I write in respect of the above subject and to submit the attached the federal government 2022-2024 external borrowing plan for consideration and early approval of the National Assembly to ensure prompt implementation of the projects.

“The Senate may wish to note that the past administration approved a 2022-2024 borrowing plan by the federal executive council (FEC) held on May 15, 2023.

“The project cuts across all sectors, with specific emphasis on infrastructure, agriculture, health, water supply, roads, security, and employment generation as well as financial management reforms.

“Consequently, the required approval is in the sum of $8,699,168,559 and €100 million.

“I would like to underscore the fact that the projects and programmes in the borrowing plan were selected based on economic evaluations as well as the expected contribution to the social economic development of the country, including employment generation, and skills acquisition.

“Given the nature of these facilities, and the need to return the country to normalcy it has become necessary for the Senate to consider and approve the 2022- 2024 external abridged borrowing plan to enable the government deliver its responsibility to Nigerians.”

In August, the National Assembly approved President Tinubu’s request for over $800 million loan to finance the National Social Safety Network Programme.

The National Assembly had also approved the 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Act of N819 million “for the provision of Palliatives to Nigerians to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal”.

They're now boiling raw cassava and potatoes to eat. Food that is not even decent for pigs grin grin

Anyways, like I said, this is just the beginning. It will get to level of eating dogs, lizards and rats. Then finally to eating grass.

Meanwhile, in the East, people are still eating normal food. The only issue is that the quantity and quality might have reduced a bit. Before it will get to the point of our people eating boiled cassava, those in the core North and parts of SW would be suffering kwasioker already cheesy cheesy

Mitsurugi:
Oga Tinubu cannot do anything for you. Do something to save yourself.

From the post no body has been indicted from the constant raids. There is a case (can't remember it now) in our jurisprudence about some guy that sued the police for constant harassment. Whenever a crime happened in his area the police would pick him first. He sued and won. It stopped.

So get an injunction from the courts first to restrain the raids. Then calculate what you've lost and with your loan documents slap the EFCC with general, special and exemplary damages. While you're in court with the EFCC they are legally estopped from touching you till the matter is functus officio.

But methinks this is the work of a rival pulling strings in the shadows.
