The British Council Examiner Role is not a fulltime role...

Your job is similar to that of Waec and Neco supervisors. You go to schools wtiting IGSCE or Cambridge A Levels for invigilation or supervision (for experienced once).

Payment Mode:
During the exams,you fill a time sheet for every exams, it is that time sheet that they will use to process your payment. So they pay you according to the number of hours you invigorated or supervised.

Most of their exams falls between April/May, and October/November.
But you will be called for training in either Lagos or Ibadan before you go to the schools that you will be posted.

In the past, schools also pay invigialtors allowances, schools like Olashore in Iloko-Ijesa, and Adesoye College Offa pay as high as 2k per day, but British Council has asked the schools to stop that now, though some schools still do it sha.

But be rest assured that your accommodation, feeding, and transportation during the course of the exam will be taking care of by the school.

I don’t think their 17 storey building is a factor in this recruitment. They are just going to employ the number of staff they need and most likely rent out over 60% of the space. Eg UBA building is not 100% occupied by UBA, there are several other organizations in it.
