I posted on this forum some days ago that a state overseer of the Deeper Christian Life ministry was kidnapped in Kebbi State. Sorry it was actually in Kogi state. The good news is that the pastor has now gained his freedom. PASTOR OF DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH RELEASED UNCONDITIONALLY Twelve days after he was kidnapped, State Overseer, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Kebbi State, Pastor David Onubedo was Saturday released by his abductors. Onubedo, a top Deeper Life pastor was abducted by gunmen on 25 January, 2016 in his house in Okene, Kogi State shortly after the Monday Bible Study of the church which was held in his house. The kidnappers had established contact with his wife and demanded for N50 million ransom, which was later to N10 million and later to N1 million before they could release him. Sources closed to Onubedo’s family confirmed to P.M.NEWS that the pastor was released in the morning by his abductors. Also, the State Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Niger State, Pastor Araromi Toyin announced to the large crowd gathered at the Minna Deeper Life Camp Ground Saturday during the Mini-Congress of the church that Onubedo has been released. Toyin told the congregation, who are workers in the church, that Onubedo was released by the kidnappers without any ransom paid, saying he was released unconditionally. There was jubilation among the congregation as they praised God that their prayers had been answered.

nkiruberyl: Internal medicine like in other countries is supposed to be the most well paid because it's broad like it covers a bit of every other field and u also have to specialise e.g in endocrinology etc after your part 1 exams if and when you pass. N/B: internal medicine is the most stressful but it's truly worth it. You will have this satisfaction in you, that you're able to heal a patient who has exhausted every other option and labelled an 'emergency'. Also, there's a big room for research and development. So many untapped fields waiting for who's interested and passionate enough.
For me,follow your heart and what really interests you as a doctor. The money flows whatever field you are in as a consultant, but you have to trust me that it's not an easy route to get there.
But community medicine, its a no no for me. Personally,i dont fancy it in this country for doctors. what is community and internal medicine. |

obiorathesubtle: life was even better back then.. We used to visit people a lot.. Write letters, organise public gatherings.. Small families would come together on saturdays or sundays, me and my friends would discuss mundane topics, our wives would engage in things we didn't care about, the children were always playing with their peers.. It was one big family.. You knew your neighbours and your neighbours knew you.. Sundays after long church services were spent with friends.. and we were always excited on fridays because the mail comes on friday and you have to drive long distances to go and receive a letter from your relatives in the village or far in the North. I remember when we heard over the radio that onyeka onwenu's record had just been released(early 90's).. we were all happy oo.. We had to wait about 2 or 3weeks before we could get our own record, when we finally bought a record, we played it during gatherings on sundays.. Back then was really fun... nice one here |
