Wow !! Didn't expect such outpouring of support. Thanks, I do appreciate . Lucky to find favour in God's eyes, for my life until now has been nothing short of a miracle. Once again I thank you. |
It's 4:25 AM and I cannot sleep. I'm lost in thought and wishful, Wish i I could for once experience wha it's like to be normal. Wishing I wasn't a loner, wishing I had real friends.Wishing I had real relationship like every o the normal human being, wish I didn't have to avert the gaze of people looking at me band wondering what sort of strange being is this guy, wishing I had a family I could take refuge in sad snd lonely in like normal people do......But alas, what can I do besides fantasize about being normal. I am suffering from the following condition : Tourette Syndrom. Schizotypal (not schizoprenia) personality disorder. PATM Syndrom. In a 3rd world society like Nigeria where people with oddities and mental health issues are stigmatized and laughed at, it takes the grace of God to go through each passing day. My entire life has been a struggle, I endured being bullied in my teen years, all but rejected by my family who think I bring nothing but shame and disgrace to them. Now make no mistake, these conditions do not impact my cognitive function. I live a normal life like everybody else, I am financially secure and Independent. I have had dates ..etc. However I am at a crossroad in my life. Is there a future for me in a country with non existent mental health infrastructure and support? In a highly superstitious country. I have visited by family 4 years out of shame and embarrassment. I have skipped Important family functions such as my siblings getting married because I cannot endure the phsycological trauma that is sure to come when people gaze at me in an oddly fashion. Being a sensitive man the pain is akin to having a red hot rod pierced into my skin. I suffered a great deal growing up. At home I was physically abused as a child which completely killed any semblance of confidence I might have had. Bullied everyday and called names, seen by people as a hopeless freak of nature. I have friends but they are largely friends of convenience.I've had girlfriends but I am not mentally stable enough to keep a relationship. Besides God there is no body I can turn to when I stay in my room crying every night, asking why I had to be born this way with these mental conditions. Is there hope for people like me (if there's anyone with my condition) in a society as superstitious as Nigeria? Will I ever be mentally stable enough to get married? Am I condemned to live the rest of my life struggling everyday? Shying away from people. Are there psychotic drugs for people like me to reduce the symptoms. Why me? What crime have I committed to warrant my suffering from the worse form of mental health issues fused into one package. I am not depressed, not suicidal,....I only wish I could experience life without these inhibitions. I tired of crying and wallowing in self pity. I only wished I had a shoulder I could lean on or talk to....I wish my mental conditions were not so severe as to interfere with my ability to handle emotions like every other person. I feel like a lost soul. God has been my strenght and will continue to be. Without God I am nothing. Never take God for granted. David. |
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau was confirmed dead Friday. The announcement came from the military commander leading the campaign against the Islamist terrorist group. Photo courtesy of U.S. Department of Justice ABUJA, Nigeria, Sept. 2 (UPI) — Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau is dead, a Nigerian army commander confirmed Friday. Shekau was reported injured and “fatally wounded” in an Aug. 23 airstrike which killed several other Boko Haram leaders. Friday’s announcement of confirmation of his death came not from the army’s public relations department, the usual method for releasing military information regarding the fight against Boko Haram, but from Maj. Gen. Lucky Irabor, commander of the Operation Lafiya Dole, the campaign to eradicate the Islamist group. Irabor added a Shekau look-alike, used by Boko Haram in the past for propaganda purposes, was also wounded in the airstrike. “I can confirm to you that the original Shekau was killed, the second Shekau was killed, and the man presenting himself as Shekau, I can also confirm to you that few days ago, he was wounded. We are yet to confirm whether he is dead or not,” Irabor said. He added that Boko Haram videos suggesting Shekau is still alive are “just a facade.” Shekau’s unconfirmed death has been announced at least five times in the past. Since 2009, the Islamic State-aligned Boko Haram has led a.... Dr Spencer Onuh, the Director, Centre for Satellite Technology Development (CSTD) says Nigeria has been leading in space science and technology in the continent but noted that more needed to be done. Onuh said this on Wednesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the ongoing CSTD’s annual conference in Abuja. The conference with the theme: “Space Technology In Nigeria: Indigenisation and Collaboration’’ is expected to feature some space experts around the world to deliberate on the way forward for the country in space technology. According to him, other nations in the region are into space technology but Nigeria’s achievement still “stands it out but we will not rest on our oars”. “No country has surpassed Nigeria in space science and technology. In the case of South Africa, they have the pre-apartheid apartheid infrastructure in place; that is all they have. Nigeria is the only member country in Africa that has made contributions to the African resource management in terms of satellite and the only country in Africa that has a member of the Disaster Monitoring Constellation for International Imaging (DMCii) NAN reports that Disaster Monitoring Constellation International Imaging (DMCii) is the company that manages images for the International Charter for Space and Major Disasters. It also sells satellite imaging services under contractual agreements. ” Nigeria is the only African country that can boast and has successfully launched five satellites till date. Three of which are still orbiting, two have been de-orbited because they have completed their lifespan,” he said. Onuh said that the information, data usage might not be going fully to the last person standing, but that did not mean that the nation had not attained the leadership position. “It is not a leadership that is resting, it is a leadership that that has given us a spring board to move higher in space science and technology,” he said. On how the nation’s satellite technology can be further enhanced, the director urged government to develop a data policy that would ensure that data images captured by Nigerian satellites were used for the nation’s project. He said that in any bidding process in the country, only data captured by government owned satellites or private owned ones in the country should be acceptable except when they could not capture the required image. Onuh said that the Federal Government should....... continue reading : https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/09/02/space-technology-nigeria-eclipses-south-africa-ranks-first-in-africa/ |
Welcome to the club. I am like you. Longest relationship I ever kept lasted 2 months. I fall in love pretty easily, I am benevolent to a fault and shower her with gifts, care and affection. After one week of sex i get tired and look for a way out, and often times the only way out is a fight. Crazy, I am 32 now yet I cannot live with a girl for more than a couple of days, the idea of getting married and having to live with a woman for 30/40/60 years scares the shit out of me. |
Caught my best friend and my now ex wife together early this year. She divorced Me for Him after 7 months of marriage. She got the Kids because i work on the road. Not a Day goes by that i dont want to end it, end this pain once and for all. I just wont give them the satisfaction. Plus I dont want my Kids to think badly of me. yeah. Heartbreak and depression sucks. Like My Late Dad always said. You cant to anything about it. Just live on. |
Nigeria has a problem: The country is one of the world’s top oil producers, but it doesn’t have enough gasoline to fuel its struggling economy. On the outskirts of Lagos, Africa’s richest man is building what he says is a solution to the country’s fuel crisis: A massive, 650,000 barrel-per-day refinery that is designed to turn the country’s crude oil into gasoline for hungry consumers. Aliko Dangote, a concrete magnate who is worth an estimated $15 billion, said the refinery and petrochemical plant has the potential to satisfy Nigeria’s daily requirement of 445,000 to 550,000 barrels of fuel, with spare capacity to export. “This one we are building will satisfy 100% of the [fuel] need of Nigeria,” Dangote told CNNMoney. There are reasons to believe Dangote will meet his goal of bringing the factory online by late 2018: He has already completed several major projects in Africa, including the world’s largest sugar refinery and cement factory. If his refinery project is successful, Nigeria could even become an exporter of gasoline and other petroleum products to the region. That would be a change welcomed by long-suffering Nigerians. The country’s four state-owned refineries are currently operating at just 5% capacity following decades of poor maintenance, mismanagement and corruption. For average citizens, the lack of domestic refining capacity has meant frequent power cuts and eight-hour lines at gas stations. “It is insane,” said Mansur Ahmed, a director of corporate communications at Dangote Group. “Nigeria produces between 2.2 million and 2.5 million barrels of crude per day, yet is not able to process more than about 100,000 barrels per day.” Meanwhile, plunging crude prices have pushed Africa’s largest economy to the brink of recession. Energy accounts for about 35% of Nigeria’s gross domestic product, 75% of government revenue and 90% of export earnings. The government is now racing through its foreign currency reserves, and a shortfall of $11 billion in its 2016 budget has forced officials to discuss a potential cash infusion with the World Bank. ... Dangote, for one, is not losing any sleep over low oil prices. “People who own refineries are the best out there, making money,” he said. “The lower the crude oil price, the..... full report : https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/06/06/nigeria-an-economy-divided/ |

The recently concluded security summit hosted by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja is seen as a step in the right direction. The presence of French President Francois Hollande and a British minister , though a welcome gesture bears little strategic or military significance, on the contrary it might be a Trojan horse with France trying to achieve its long held strategic objective from the inside as all effort to bring down the Nigerian State with ” State sponsored” terror fails. Before i proceed here is an open letter written by a French Economic minister to Nigerian President Buhari WARNING he Nigerian president about the real goals and objectives of France in Africa. [b]Dear Mr. President! The majority of Africans greeted your election to the Supreme post of Nigeria. The Federation of Nigeria, the largest truly independent African country is the matter of pride and dignity of African people. Your predecessor had relegated Nigeria to the level of Francophone African countries under neo-colonialist French rule with such domination tools as the French army and the CFA franc [currency used in Africa guaranteed by the French treasury]. After more than fifty years of formal independence, Francophone Africa remained under French rule. Except for the reigns of [Guinean] President Sekou Toure, [Malian president] Modibo Keita and [the president of Burkina Faso]Thomas Sankar, Francophone Africa has seen only “virtual independence.” The Federation of Nigeria which fought to preserve its territorial integrity and its position vis-à-vis sovereignty of the colonial powers, must avoid any allegiance to France, which has tried once to destroy its unity by supporting the secession of Biafra. Nigerians should bear in mind the detrimental policy that France pursues in the Sub-Saharan Africa. Accordingly, you should not be fooled, when France manifests its concern in the fight against Boko Haram. The French intervention in Mali is becoming a nightmare for the country. Given the actions of France in this political and military crisis [in Mali], peace is not forthcoming in this country. France’s intervention in the Nigerian will bring nothing positive in that country, on the contrary, it will only serve to stir up hatred between ethnic groups in Nigeria. Divide and conquer has always been the policy of France in Africa. France has not enough military power to be able to provide the sustainable resolution of the armed conflict. The only thing France is good at is adding fuel to the fire as seen in Syria and as we have seen in the Western-Iranian negotiations. The Nigerian and African people ask you not to get involved in the French political game that will only tarnish your presidential image and the patriotic feelings which the Nigerian people credited to you. Yours sincerely, Tiécoro Diakite[/b] It is no longer a well kept secret that France, for the last 40 years have done all within its power to break up the behemoth of the Nigerian State. With 180 million people Nigeria is bigger than Britain and France combined. A nation f such size and potential cannot be overlooked. With ex French colonies still forced to pay ” colonial tax” (Taxes for the benefit of colonialism) Nigeria is what stands in the way between France and regional domination by France. A chronology of French attempt to cut Nigeria to size. The Nigerian civil war provided France with a very good opportunity to break up the Nigerian State. In 1968 France officially recognized the ”Biafran State”. This was followed by French support for the Biafra secessionist with tons of weapons, technical expertise and financial aid. When questioned by the media on the wisdom in taking such destabilizing steps, then President Charles Degaulle quipped ”why should the Ibos, who are generally Christians, who live in the south in a certain way, who have their own language, why should they depend on another ethnic fraction of the Federation? ” 1968 French nefarious and destabilizing actions only served to prolong the war caused untold hardship on civilians. By the end of the war over a million Nigerians were killed, some of starvation. Despite French support for the secessionists the Nigerian military emerged victorious, saving the territorial integrity of the Nigerian federation. 2002 the Nigerian military was put on a hair trigger state alert when Intelligence report showed France was secretly building an air- strip (no doubt for French fighters) in South West Cameroon, a 10 minute flight into Nigerian airspace. In protecting her Protege France had earlier threatened to level Nigeria if the country had gone to war with Cameroun over the Bakassi Peninsula. Wary of any form of confrontation with a European power, thinking this could be settled out of court, but France backed Cameroon was adamant. Nigeria finally gave in. Nigeria stood no chance in court. The decision by the ICJ flavoring Cameroon came as a little surprise. 2013 A leaked document from former NSA worker Edward Snowden revealed that France and Cameroon wanted to invade Nigeria in 2013. The plan was that Cameroon forces would invade the Nigeria Obudu ranches and some parts in East Nigeria. France would give its military backing and lobby in the UN and EU to support this move. Rebel groups supported by Cameroon should take over. The instability that this would create would weaken the Nigerian Federation. Also France had contacts with high ranked military in the Nigerian army and politicians who would use this to commit a coup and bring down Nigerian democracy. In a paradoxical twist the Boko Haram insurgency put the plan on hold. 2013 : A BBC Investigative Journalist reported that Boko Haram received $3 million ransom to free Hostages, among them a French family ( Which in my opinion was a clever bit of subterfuge by France to create an alibi). The government of France and Cameroon (who would have guessed). A gross violation of the territorial integrity of Nigeria. With $3 million in hard currency gifted to Boko Haram the Franco-Cameroonian alliance effectively strengthened the firepower of the Jihadi group. 2014 Chadian interests ( another Francophone country) in sponsoring the Boko Haram foreign led francophone invasion of Nigeria’s resource –rich northeast was revealed when the Chadian government was caught red handed supplying weapons to Boko Haram. Mahamat Bichara Gnoti, a close political aide of Chadian dictator Idriss Deby was apprehended at the at the Nigerian border with Chad with 19 surface to air missiles for Boko Haram. Mahamat Bichara Gnoti “claimed that President Idriss Déby gave him the funds to purchase the weapons,” and had “waved a presidential pass issued to him by Mr. Deby’s office in order to get past border guards but was stopped and searched by the guards who found the deadly weapons on him.” This will is not the first time such an attempt as made by Chad. Attempts by French-Chad to occupy parts of the northeast in the 70s and 80s were obstructed by Nigeria under the leadership of General Muhammadu Buhari and democratic President, Shehu Shagari who retook 19 Nigerian Islands from the Chadian Habre Gendarmes. Chad has long interests in annexing parts of Nigeria as does Cameroon. 2014 A french cargo plane laden with sophisticated weapons en route to an ” unknown ” destination was grounded in Kano State, Northern Nigeria. Items included howitzers, mortars, MANPADS(Manned portable air defefense system) and French made attack helicopters). This proved correct long standing claims by the Nigerian government that Boko Haram has had outside support in its five-year insurgency. Nigeria’s request for weapons from the United States was flatly rejected citing alleged ”maltreatment of Boko Haram fighters)Nigeria’s effort to procure sulplus Cobra attack helicopters from Israel was also nixed at the request of U.S President Barack Obama. 2015 The Nigerian army after conducting a successful raid on a Boko Haram camp recovered French made weapons and French ID cards among killed Boko Haram fighters. In December 2015 Cameroonian soldiers on three occasions without authorization crossed into Nigerian territory killing dozens of civilians before retreating back across the border Conclusion, With the help of China and Russia Nigeria was able to purchase the weapons it needed to prosecute the war against Boko Haram- these include armed drones and Amoured personnel carriers from China, helicopter gunships, Tanks and artillery pieces and Infantry fighting vehicles from Russia. Bristling with new weapons the Nigerian military has been successful in claiming back all previously lost territory and flushing our Boko Haram from their base in the Sambisa forest. President Francois Hollande’s visit to Nigeria at this time is indicative of his attempt to bring down Nigeria from within as efforts to destabilize Nigeria with terror falters. Over 20,000 Nigerians have lost their lives due to subversive actions netted out against the Nigerian state by the Franco-Alliance. Make no mistake-Chad, Cameroon and France and Nigeria’s enemies, not friends. Nigeria today faces an existential threat and to survive must face that threat head on. I call on Nigeria to secure our perimeter and push for regime change by a full declaration of war against Chad and Cameroon for their direct involvement in orchestrating terror in Nigeria. Nigeria needs a buffer against France and that will never happen until we push for regime change. Nigeria must rebuild her military to match or exceed those of its glorious days in the 80’s and 90’s. Given the size of the Nigerian economy defence spending should exceed $10 billion. A dense network of air defense systems should be acquired. A dedicated military satellite should be launched into orbit. A robost military will serve as a deterrent against the Franco alliance who still habor the ambition of cutting Nigeria to size and exploiting her resources. It is very odd indeed for the United States and France- leaders of the democratic world to ostracize Nigeria, the worlds 4th largest democracy yet offer assistance and support to Idris Derby and Paul Biya, two of Africa’s longest serving dictators.... I have this sudden feeling uneasiness, Its hard to describe in words, and i know its not natural. Just this weird feeling of restlessness and uneasiness. There re two strangers in the house: a newly hired house help and the security. I have no reason whatsoever to think diabolical but I just cant seem to shake this weird feeling that something is wrong. Has anyone had this experience before? |

As I stayed up late to watch the results of the U.S Nebraska and West Virginia Primaries i could not help but shake my head in disbelief as the Liberal controlled media -led by CNN continue to play every negative angle to undermine Trump despite his strings of electoral victories. Gone are the days when the media adopted an ethos of professionalism and neutrality, today the media continually tries to decide for the American people who should be President; for the British ”to remain in the EU”. They try to influence policy and the discussion. Just yesterday the 10th of May 2016 Facebook was criticized for their pro Liberal bias as a former employee opened up on Facebook’s policy of routinely suppression ”conservative news”. This comes as no surprise as its founder Mark Zuckerberg – a hypocrite openly condemned the Donald Trumps policy of stemming the flow of unvetted Muslims entering the United States while he lives in a gated community with 24 hours protection. The Liberal media- led by CNN spares no effort to bring us relevant newsworthy developments, going as far as reporting this critique by the Mayor of London England on Trumps off the cuff remarks for dealing with terrorism. Rather than condemn this ”meddling”into American politics the News Media showers praises on him, with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour even inviting him for an Interview, inadvertently drafting the new Muslim Mayor of London into their Anti Trump Alliance. Great Britainistan as a country today has 85 Sharia Courts (More than Iraq). The new Mayor of Londonistan should mind his own business, American citizens are exercising their right to choose whoever they want, regardless of his opinion. They forget they are a Media House not Policy Makers. The constant attack and smear campaign on Donald Trump not only shows a lack of professionalism, it borders on criminal. The media must realize that American citizens are exercising their right to choose whoever they want, regardless of their input or opinion. The excesses of the media is not limited to politics alone, they are a security threat to all of humanity. The world today is in the throes of violence and destruction of apocalyptic proportions on a scale not seen since the Second World War and the media has played a big role to make this happen. Nothing brings in ratings like bad news and instability. Constant media coverage and glamorization of terror groups has led to a proliferation of Jihadi groups on a scale not seen in human history. The role the media has played in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians and the resultant millions of refugees cannot be overemphasized. Today’s A-List journalists raking in millions of dollars in annual earnings. This has led to tension between journalists’ desires to sensationalize report on conflicts and military actions, and military concerns about security, often times ignoring the safety of those fighting at the front by broadcasting information the enemy could really use. Perhaps the most destructive practice of the media is their shameless policy of broadcasting Terrorist messages on video tapes sent to them, even going as far as granting interviews these killers. This has led to a massive escalation of terrorist attacks on virtually every continent on the planet except Antarctica. The likes of CNN and Al-jazeera are the biggest contributors to conflict escalation, either directly or indirectly. As we witnessed in the BringBackOurGirls campaign, the very presence of cameras and prime time coverage to hundreds of millions of people worldwide will prompt these Jihadi groups to escalate its cowardly violence against innocent civilians, enjoying millions of dollars worth of advertising for FREE.When CNN described Boko Haram as the ”deadliest terrorist group in the world” int he most glamorous of terms, their exaggeration simply puffed up the already inflated self image of the cowardly Jihadi group, as a result in the space of one week multiple suicide attacks were carried out in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital. This was an unprecedented move, the fact that a Bus station was attacked twice bears testament to the fact that Boko Haram will do anything to maximize the unprecedented media attention, even if it means carrying out attacks on targets with little strategic or tactical significance. West Africa, much like hitherto peaceful parts of the world is gradually becoming another Middle East with devastating consequences. Jihadi groups often rely on the media. Terrorist attacks are often calculated to draw media attention, and so garner the attention of millions to their cause. In the absence of media coverage, many types of terrorism would be useless. The Arab Spring and its accompanying problems can be attributed to the media as well, who sensationalized and inflamed the event by creating a false sense of an Epic and historic event unfolding Now I am not postulating that the media should refrain from covering wars, quite on the contrary it is a necessity as it brings the plight of the victims to the world. Their mode of coverage however shows they couldn’t care less about those affected. CNN and Aljazeera in particular tend to focus on dramatic and violent events. It is glaringly evident that more than ever before in the history of humanity, in terms of news, war is preferable to peace, violent news is better than non- violent. This tendency to focus on violence and conflict, and to further dramatize and sensationalize violent events can distort the public’s perceptions of the situation. The Liberal Media (led by CNN & Aljazeera) failed (buy design) to adequately investigate the cause of the Boko Haram Insurgency and the kidnap of the Chibok girls. Instead they became the mouthpiece for Boko Haram, they threw away professional ethics of neutrality and focused squarely on the lapses of the Nigerian government. The media- like a kitchen knife can be a force of progress and stability if the battle for ratings is discarded and professionalism embraced. Back when News reporters did not earn $12 million in annual wages (Like many do today) the objective and unbiased media coverage of the war played a key role in turning U.S. public opinion against the war in Vietnam. Lacking public support the U.S eventually pulled out of Vietnam. As of these writing over twenty countries are currently battling one form of violent extremist Jihardi groups or another and nearly four million people becoming refugees. At the same time take home pay for Reporters have skyrocketed. A regulatory body to act as an oversight on the activities and excesses of the media is of the utmost importance. If the ”unethical” activities of the media is not checked, there is a grave possibility the world will be plunged into an apocalyptic nuclear war caused either by terrorists exploding a dirty bomb on a major city or miscalculations and tensions between major powers. The time to act is NOW. Source : ourtimeiscome.com |
The thing that caught the police's attention was the matching outfits. High yellow socks and black berets that featured an emblem of manacled hands, and an axe breaking through the chain. The two men were each being investigated separately, one in British Columbia and the other in Toronto, for fraud. But it was their presence together, in identical outfits, that sent investigators on a new trail in the summer of 2013, deep into the heart of a Nigerian subculture, the history of student movements, and the African nation's political hierarchy. Eventually, it led them to a man who said he was threatened with a knife and had watched his car being destroyed in front of him. The man was frightened. "He knew who all four men were who threatened him with a knife, but only gave two nicknames and misidentified the organization," Toronto police Detective Constable Tim Trotter said. "It's a phenomenon we get when people in any community are intimidated. They'll tell you what they think is enough to put you in the right direction, but they haven't exposed themselves too much by telling you the whole truth." The whole truth has been hard to come by for investigators, but after two years of quietly observing and gathering evidence, they introduced Canadians to an organization most had never heard of: a Nigerian confraternity called The , otherwise known as the of Africa (NBM). At the end of October, they laid charges against three men who allegedly defrauded a Toronto woman of $609,000, including one who was linked to the . The elusive group, feared in Nigeria for its brutality, has been exerting "undue influence over the Nigerian diaspora" in Canada, as well as engaging in organized crime and violence, police said. Aside from fraud and money laundering, police allege the outfit is involved in street-level crime — everything from intimidation to kidnapping to the large-scale movement of stolen goods on a transnational scale. Last week, Toronto police laid an additional 640 charges and arrested another 18 people allegedly involved in the theft of over 500 SUVs, all worth about $30 million. Six more had outstanding warrants. These weren't "just thieves," investigators said, but a highly sophisticated crime ring linked to the that placed its people in shipping companies and at a government agency. An investigator used a PowerPoint presentation to explain the .... full story : https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/05/07/the-notorious--has-put-down-roots-in-canada/ |
A protest outside a campaign rally for Donald J. Trump in Costa Mesa, Calif., turned violent late Thursday night, as the crowd smashed a police car, the authorities closed nearby streets and officers arrested about 20 people. The unrest erupted outside an amphitheater where Mr. Trump, the favorite in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, was addressing several thousand supporters, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. There were no major injuries, and the Sheriff’s Department reported on Twitter that the protest was over and that the crowds had dispersed around 11 p.m., after officers on horseback pushed people away from the amphitheater at the OC Fair & Event Center. Video from Los Angeles-area television stations and photographs from The Los Angeles Times captured the mayhem, including efforts by some of the mostly young protesters to turn over a patrol car. At least one confrontation with a Trump supporter turned bloody, and other protesters threw rocks and beer bottles while chanting anti-Trump slogans. Many of the protesters said they had come to express their opposition to Mr. Trump’s proposal to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border and his comments about immigrants from Mexico in general. “I knew this was going to happen,” Daniel Lujan, 19, told The Los Angeles Times. “It was going to be a ..... continue reading (Warning Graphic Images) https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/04/29/protest-turns-violent-at-donald-trump-rally-in-costa-mesa-calif/ |

Thank God Buhari. Our President is incorruptible. If our pace of modernisation and restructuring is maintained, in 8 years the Nigerian military will once again be an expeditionary fighting force, intervening militarily in West Africa and beyond. For decades the Nigerian military was a force for stability in West Africa. We lost that under 8 years of democratic governance,..no suprise West Africa as a region is a cesspool of instability today in line with Nigeria's military decline. W shall rise again. |
nemesis2u:An initial batch of 3 should be delivered within the coming weeks. |
Once the squadron of JF-17 is delivered Nigeria should hand over all existing subsonic Alpha Jets to the army aviation unit. Soldiers relying on the Air-force for protection are basically committing suicide. An army with no situation awareness in a combat environment is prone to ambush. |
Boko Haram is as good as finnished..they are even running out of girls to use as suicide bombers. It is hard to reconcile in my head that a year ago Boko Haram controlled territory the size of Belguim, fast forward today Boko Haram has basically been reduced to nomads. Where is the Chadian army that enjoys crossing into Nigeria without permission and making a mockery of the Nigerian army nd President. With Buhari in power Idris Derby is welcomed to scam Nigeria again by supplying them missiles, or better still making unauthorised incursions into Nigerian territory. Buhari will enact Occupy N'Djamena part 2. My only frustration is that w are underitilising our potentials. Nigeria today has more Satellites in orbit that the rest of Africa combined. Why does the military not have its own dedicated military satellite. Nigerian engineers built NIGCOMSAT X from scratch, why cant they be contracted to build one for the military. With American and French Drones in the region Nigeria needs its eye in the sky. Nigeria beat Russia, China and the European Space agency to win a contract on managing Belarus's satellite for fifteen years yet our armed forces lacks its own dedicated military satellite. Which kind country be dis sef? |
Without a doubt the European Union as an entity is in its lowest ebb since its creation. The financial crises coupled with the recent terror attacks have fractured the Union with terms like BREXIT and FREXIT becoming a common theme. There is a thin line between political correctness and common sense, and with Islamic Jihadi groups like ISIS vowing more attacks, the European Union as an entity might very well be seeing its last days. By conservative estimates there are hundreds of Islamic State militants in Europe as of this writing. It is only a matter of time before the next attack unfortunately. Now contrary to how it is portrayed by the media there is nothing glorious about blowing up or attacking defenseless civilians, on the contrary it is the biggest act of cowardice; but with the help of today’s mainstream media who hyperbolise these events with epic stories and endless talks about ”masterminds”, cool monikers like ”Jihadi Jhon 1&2”and unlimited coverage-ISIS and various other such cowardly groups now have unfettered access to unprecedented front coverage. With various other groups like AQIM and Boko Haram fighting for equal media coverage- God help us all. Its been 15 years since 9/11 yet attacks like those seen in Europe lately have never been staged on American soil. Why is ISIS and other radical Jihadi groups finding it very easy to stage attacks in Europe and insert sleeper agents? For starters the European Unions fragmented intelligence service in a union without borders is perhaps the principal fact0r. Unlike the United States where Intelligence is shared easily between the FBI,CIA,Homeland Security and NSA, Europe lacks a unified integrated Intelligence system. It will also be illusory to think with ISIS stronghold-Raqaah being bombed to smithereens in Syria by the U.S led coalition, ISIS will not take advantage of the EU’s decision to open its borders to millions of migrants without a vetting process to slip in hundreds of fighters. While it is humane and morally right to help refugees, a common sense approach would have seen major players like Saudi Arabia and other oil rich gulf States taking in millions of its own, with the EU providing financial and technical assistance. But for some bizarre reason German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the most powerful woman in the world and postal child for Liberal political correctness deemed it fit to take in over a million refugees from the heartland of ISIS itself. Certainly the vast majority are good, but it takes only a handful of the really bad once to turn Europe into a cesspool of carnage and insecurity. In my humble opinion It is irresponsible for Angela Merkel to open Europe’s borders and force hitherto reluctant countries like Hungary and Poland to follow suit, especially in light of recent ISIS threats. Those paying the price are the ordinary citizens of Europe who lack the secrete service protection and gated mansions its policy makers have. One would think that in light of recent events Europe will come to its senses and re-evaluate its policy, but surprisingly Europe continues to welcome in thousands of ”Un-vetted” migrants from the Middle East on a daily basis. Today once pristine Scandinavia is now the rape capital of the world. Europe, admired all over for its free, open and secure society is now a continent living in fear of the unknown. What will it take for Merkel and Brussels to drop its political correct naive policies- A dirty bomb going off in Paris or Berlin? – This by the way is a real possibility. With over a billion dollars in cash ISIS has the wherewithal to buy a nuke should the opportunity present itself. Multicultural in Europe favoring Middle Eastern countries has been a disaster. Should this gesture be extended to Africans I am sure the reverse will be the case. Images of African migrants drowning by the hundreds in their desperation to reach Europe barely made the news, the few that did have all been forgotten . Europe has to wake up to the stark reality. Not every refugee from Syria are willing to reciprocate the naive goodwill gesture accorded them. Hundreds of Jihadi fighters have used this ”Welcome Refugee” cover to infiltrate every major European Capital, with the possible exception of London in Great Britain. Political Correctness, while good for garnering in voters will lead to the inevitable demise of the European Union. The Liberal media continues to filter disturbing stories of growing molestation and violence among refugees. CNN Christin Amanpour never fails to deliver in her emotional laced stories of the plight of Syrian refugees in Europe- a continent that has already given more than it should. Conclusion. European politicians still delude themselves into thinking they can get millions of Middle Eastern Muslim migrants to integrate and embrace Western values and norms. Unfortunately needless European lives will be lost before Europe finally drop its political correctness posture on the issue. Meanwhile in Africa over 2 million people have been displaced by what is today the deadliest terrorist group in the world- Boko Haram yet little effort has been made by the International community to help this region. Women and underage girls are being kidnapped, abused and sold into slavery- crimes that make ISIS look like saints, yet the world barely notices. Culled from ourtimeiscome.com

Nigeria dos truly have a formidable military now, greater than the days of S-leone and Liberia. Africa's largest and most advanced fleet of Drones, highly advance radar planes, new Tanks, better artillery, lots of rocket artillery, better weapons, new helicopter gunships an the soon to be delivered JF-17......jeez two years ago who would have thought possible? God will surely punish our corrupt past leaders who wasted th lives of soldiers with embezzling funds meant for weapons procurement, sending brave soldiers in the front to fight with 30 rounds of ammo and AK-47's. |

The growing social and cultural influence of Nigeria in Kenya is the natural precursor to full Nigerian musician. Nigerian music is so well liked in Kenya that a radio station that purports to play ‘urban African music’ has a playlist of mostly Nigerian music.http://www.nation.co.ke/lifestyle/DN2/Nigeria-not-China-colonising-us-/-/957860/2430580/-/2is3mdz/-/index.html

The North African states maintain their dominance on the continent with Egypt having by far the largest and most powerful army, navy and airforce. Though having the most technologically advanced military in Africa South Africa’s drop to 5th can be attributed to a myriad of factors ; funding shortages, inadequate personnel and a very small Navy and Air force. Under apartheid, South Africa had arguably the most feared and well-funded armed forces on the continent, but since the end of the Cold War and white-minority rule in the early 1990s, Pretoria has cut military spending dramatically in favor of health, housing, education and social security. Nigeria’s rise stems from the recent series of embarrassing defeats she suffered from the hands of the Boko Haram Insurgency, which at a point controlled huge swatches of land the size of Costa-Rica. The unprecedented rearmament drive- which included the acquisitions, attack helicopters, armed attack UAV’s, radar/surveillance aircraft’s,nearly a nearly a dozen Navy ships and the integration of its orbital satellite for the military made the Nigerian military far more capable than it was years ago. Its recent success against the Boko Haram Insurgency bears testament to the fact. Egypt is on course to have the most powerful military in the Arab world. Th Egyptian air force is larger than the Nigerian and South African air forces combined. The Egyptian military recently took delivery of 50 Mig-29’S from Russia- adding bite to its already powerful air force. The Egyptian Navy is also the largest on the continent, consisting of Frigates, Destroyers, missile bats and submarines. Egypt also produces the American Abram Tank under license. Add to it the billions of dollars in military it receives from the United States it is clear the Egyptian armed forces will remain a force to be reckoned with for a long time. more https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/04/17/2016-globalfire-ranking-south-africa-drops-to-5th-place-in-africa-nigeria-4th/

Saudi Arabia is threatening to sell off up to $750 billion in U.S. assets if Congress passes legislation making its government liable for 9/11-related lawsuits, The New York Times reported. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, in a Washington visit last month, informed U.S. lawmakers of the potential sale of treasury securities and other American assets, the Times said Saturday. The move would be necessary to prevent U.S. courts from possibly freezing the assets due to legal action. The dispute pits the Obama Administration against some lawmakers and 9/11 family members who believe Saudi officials were involved in the plot that killed nearly 3,000. The administration is urging Congress to consider the financial and diplomatic fallout that would ensue with the longtime U.S. ally if the bipartisan Senate legislation is passed, the Times said. New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, a Democrat, and Texas Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican, are the sponsors of the bill. Cornyn said last months that the legislation was critical to “stopping the funding source for terrorists.” The lingering tensions provide a backdrop for Obama’s planned Wednesday trip to Riyadh for meetings with Saudi officials, including King Salman. Any legislation would need the approval of both houses of Congress and the president. https://i1.wp.com/static2.businessinsider.com/image/5230798c69bedd671ea48e7d-1200/911-september-11th-attacks.jpg The 9/11 Commission, in its official report, declared there was “no evidence” linking the Saudi government or senior Saudi officials to funding for the terrorist plot. But a 28-page portion of the Senate’s investigation into 9/11 remain classified, although people who have seen the documents say the Saudis were implicated in the devastating attack. The attackers hijacked planes that were flown into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Some families of 9/11 victims, in legal papers, accused Saudi agents of assisting the terrorists. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudi Arabian citizens. Under current U.S. law, foreign nations are spared from such lawsuits under the Foreign Sovereign Immunity Act. A federal appeals court and a Manhattan federal judge have both dismissed the 9/11 suit against Saudi Arabia. The proposed new legislation would specifically allow legal action against other countries only in cases of an attack on ..... read more : https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/04/16/dont-you-dare-saudi-arabia-threatens-u-s-government/

seunlayi:Nobody likes wars. With crazies like Hitler, ISIS or Boko Haram the world needs to mantain strong militaries to fight against demons in disguise. Nazi Germany alone caused the death of 72 million people. It took the military might of the United States to stop Nazi Hitler and Imperial Japan from global domination. In a nutshell, as long as the bad guys are capable of waging wars it is necessary for the free world to maintain strong militaries to stop naked aggression. |

How a U.S.-Soviet clash would have played out, based on Washington’s war games. Nearly every analyst during the Cold War agreed that, if Moscow and Washington could keep the nukes from flying, the Central Front in Europe would prove decisive in war between the United States and the Soviet Union. The NATO alliance protected the Western European allies of the United States from Soviet aggression, while the Warsaw Pact provided the USSR with its own buffer against Germany. But when the Cold War really went hot, the fighting took place in Asia. In Korea and Vietnam, the Soviet Union waged proxy struggles against the United States, and both sides used every tool available to control the destiny of China. However, while few believed that the Pacific theater would determine the victor of World War III, both the United States and Soviet Union needed to prepare for the eventuality of war there. Scholars have devoted far less attention to the planning of World War III in East Asia than to the European theater. The two classic novels of the Third World War (Tom Clancy’s Red Storm Rising and John Hackett’s The Third World War) rarely touched on developments in Asia. However, in the 1970s and 1980s, the Naval War College traced the potential course of war in East Asia as part of a series of global war games. These games lend a great deal of insight into the key actors in the conflict, and how the decisive battles of a Second Pacific War might have played out. The Players: China How would China have reacted to the onset of a war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact? Beijing certainly regarded the survival of NATO as critical to its security from the 1970s on. The existence of NATO prevented the USSR from concentrating the bulk of the Red Army and of Soviet strategic aviation against China; a Soviet victory in the West would have put China in great peril. By the 1980s, China stood at a massive technological disadvantage against the USSR. Moreover, Beijing worried (perhaps rightly) that even if the USSR held its nuclear fire against NATO, it would view a strategic exchange with China as less risky. Thus, there was no guarantee that China would open a second front against the USSR. Japan Japan combined extraordinary economic strength with significant military power and a crucial geographic position. A Japan committed to the United States could effectively prevent the sortie of the Soviet Pacific Fleet, while enabling attacks against the Soviet Far East. A neutral Japan limited these options, but still provided the NATO alliance with a strong economic foundation in case of a protracted war. Washington had the advantage; it only depended on how and how much. Korea Would North Korea have joined a general Soviet war against NATO by invading South Korea? Such a move would have put extraordinary pressure on U.S. forces, although by the 1980s South Korea could probably survive with only measured U.S. assistance. However, Pyongyang answered to two masters; it required the support of both Beijing and Moscow. Given the unlikelihood that China would support a Soviet war against NATO, the prospect of Beijing’s acquiescence in a second Korean War would have been extremely sketchy. Southeast Asia The Soviets had an ally in Hanoi, but no means to support that ally against either China or the United States. Moreover, the Vietnamese had little to gain from joining a conflict; they were substantially controlled by Laos and Cambodia, and could do little more than harass shipping lanes in the South China Sea. However, given the bloody nose that Vietnam had inflicted on both countries in 1975 and 1980, neither Washington nor Beijing would have had much interest in reopening the conflict, especially with far more pressing issues at hand. That said, Vietnam could still make some mischief with U.S. allies in the region, and the PRC still had scores to settle. The Chess Pieces: Soviet Pacific Fleet The Soviets took the Pacific seriously. By the 1980s, the fleet included two Kiev class aircraft carriers, and one Kirov class battlecruiser. In peacetime, the ships of the fleet sailed widely, regularly visiting Southeast Asia and even the Indian Ocean. Wartime, however, would have tightly constrained their operations. The Sea of Okhotsk served as a bastion for the SSBNs of the fleet, and naturally as a target for U.S. attack. Soviet objectives would have included the neutralization or defeat of Japan, the defense of the Russian Far East and potentially the penetration of the Pacific in order to attack maritime supply networks and distract U.S. attention from Europe. U.S. Pacific Fleet. The United States Pacific Fleet commanded the balance of power in the region. With several carrier battlegroups supported by a variety of amphibious assault ships, battleships, nuclear attack submarines and a large array of land-based aircraft, the U.S. Navy could have undertaken both offensive and defensive operations to control the pace and course of the war. Moreover, the Japanese Maritime Self Defense force and the Royal Australian Navy could have both offered extensive support to the Americans. The central objectives for Allied naval forces would first have been to detect and defeat any Soviet efforts to penetrate attack submarines into the Pacific or Southeast Asian shipping lanes. Second, the U.S. Navy had taken upon itself a mission of attacking the periphery of the USSR directly, in order to distract the Red Army from the Central Front in Europe. At a minimum, this would have involved missile and airstrikes against Soviet installations throughout the Far East. At a maximum, it could have involved amphibious assaults against lightly defended Soviet targets. The War Games The Naval War College examined the potential for World War III in Asia as part of its global war game exercises in the 1970s and 1980s. Played annually between 1979 and 1988, each of the games explored alternative strategic and technological aspects of a confrontation between the superpowers. Although generally focused on Europe, the games always included an East Asian component. While the early wargames saw some variance (informed to some degree by the Sino-Vietnamese War), they held to a basic pattern; the Soviets hunkered down, while U.S. and allied naval forces chipped away at the bastions and tried to distract the Russians from Europe. The 1984 wargame played out much differently. Instead of sitting on its hands, the Soviets opened the war with a massive air and missile assault against Japan. This assault destroyed most Japanese air assets on the ground, along with those of the US. special operators delivered by submarine and by clandestine civilian ship-launched unconventional attacks against U.S. bases across the Pacific, including Guam and Pearl Harbor. The Soviets unleashed Pyongyang early in the conflict, redirecting U.S. attention towards the Korean Peninsula. Washington had effective answers; it quickly undertook offensive anti-submarine operations in the Sea of Japan, decimating Soviet SSN and SSBN forces. Soviet surface ships also came under attack. Nevertheless, in a daring move the Soviets launched a successful amphibious assault against Hokkaido. Although the operation suffered heavy losses, it succeeded in establishing a beachhead in Japan (though this was later withdrawn under fire). The United States took a more aggressive stance in the 1988 wargame. Instead of waiting for a Soviet attack, Washington immediately began air and unconventional offensives against installations in the Soviet Far East, designed to decimate Soviet air defenses and threaten the survival of military-industrial installations. For their part, the Soviets hoped that a reticent military stance and a diplomatic offensive could keep Japan out of the war. This gambit succeeded to a point, as the Japanese suspended active military cooperation with the United States. American pressure eventually forced Tokyo to yield, and the Soviet opened offensive operations against the archipelago. By this time, however, the U.S. Navy had devastated Soviet naval forces, confining the Pacific fleet to its bastion in the Sea of Okhotsk. Late in the war, the Soviets gave Pyongyang the green light to invade South Korea. However, this operation backfired, as the North Koreans failed to make substantial progress against combined U.S. and South Korean forces. Moreover, the Soviet move confirmed the U.S.-Japanese alliance, and helped drive Beijing into a much more hostile disposition towards the Soviets. Both the Soviets and the Americans had options in Asia. The strategic environment was far more fluid than in Europe, allowing a variety of different choices to disrupt and destabilize the opponent. This made the course of war far less predictable. At its (nonnuclear) worst, war could have raged across Asia on multiple fronts, from Korea to Japan to the Sino-Soviet border. At its best, the combatants might have observed an uneasy quiet, at least until it became necessary to outflank a stalemate in the West. But as was the case in Europe, everyone concerned is fortunate that tensions never led to open combat. https://ourtimeiscome.com/2016/04/16/if-world-war-iii-erupted-in-asia/ |
