No this isn't the actual story.... Its now a battle of supremacy...

The shootings have been going on for over 3 hours now...

As an eye witness and inhabitant in Akim Navy Barracks, Calabar, I've witnessed rapid exchange of gunshots between members of the Nigerian Navy and members of the Nigerian Police. The reason behind the conflict is that a NAVY personnel was repeatedly shot by some members of the police; thereby irating the Nigerian NAVY personnels to act.

The last 45mins has seen several gunshots. The OPERATION SKOLOMBO teams are showing up in their numbers now. Ratings are dressed up in uniforms and are trooping out of the barracks.

It looks like this will be an invasion on the Nigerian police barracks and station. Reports reaching me has it that the police traffic box situated opposite the U. J. ESUENE stadium has been burnt, alongside a house owned by a police officer, with several other vehicles smashed. Its a standstill here as vehicles have been stopped from moving freely around the region.

The police station have equally been razed with fire...
