It is with great regards i salute everyone here for sticking out collectively and hindering the recent impersonation and scam attempt where huge amount of money would have been lost. It is indeed our responsibility to look out for another and ensure this forum is free from scammer and also frustrate their every effort.

Please and please, it has been said overtime that seeking for vouch on a particular moniker should be accompanied by the phone number being used for such transaction and on no account should any excuse whatsoever be entertained as to why there is a difference between number on signature and number being used in such transaction. I must say, that this last move by 1nze was indeed one that can throw even the smartest off-balance but Thank God such effort was to no avail.

I believe most traders here have had their own fair share of impersonation attempts and as such i implore us all to continue being on the lookout for each other. And as for new traders, please take time to carry out proper investigation and USE ESCROWS as prepared by Tabbaz. Do not be too swift to send cryptocurrency or any other currency at large, let us continue to trade carefully.

Ok, so I just did the darndest thing sending $200 PayPal to Kayjegs (The dude buying @ N336) with email as our only means of correspondence!
I've always thought myself to be risk averse so sending $200 to someone with no identity other than an email and a Nairaland alias had to be quite silly but the false security of PayPal's GnS, buyer protection and chargeback and well, it was just $200 made me drop my fears a little bit and send to the mysterious guy with little or no real security. And it _almost didn't end well.

Going by the recent outburst of scam activities by some funny individual using date-back registered moniker, it is safe to say that these accounts were purchased from their previous owners who don't even know anything about currency trading for the sole purpose of perpetrating their nefarious acts.

Using teddyhits for example, one can see that his earlier post and recent ones has got nothing in common, not in mode of writings nor contact details or adverts placed. Having stated that, let us ALL be careful not to let our guards down because a 2007 moniker contacts you for a Trade but use escrow always.

If any of the notable escrow isn't available at the time, just hang on to your dear merchandise.
