redgem: There is someone oh...that is why I still insist she is at fault no matter the excuses she gave.... Well, deducting 10k from her salary for 3 months for her to learn from her mistakes . . . pardon me if this has already been answered but you might try getting this "moniepoint" (no advert intended) P.O.S terminal, i see em on rampant these days. Apart from a means of payment, one can make transfer to its number and staff could view the account transaction via the terminal itself (this should ease you out of having to go meet your supervisor each time for confirmation). NB: Like i said, not an advert. Experienced it on various stores while making payments in this emefewiele era. |

myorh: I recently hired @Bolu1986 to handle the POP work for my building project and I am beyond impressed with the quality of work he has delivered. From start to finish, Bolu was professional, reliable, and dedicated to ensuring that the job was done to the highest standards.
His attention to detail was impressive, and he took the time to understand my vision for the project and delivered results that exceeded my expectations. The work was completed on time and within budget, and I was constantly updated on the progress of the job.
I would highly recommend Bolu to anyone looking for a skilled and reliable artisan. If you're looking for quality work, Bolu is your guy!
Thank you, Bolu, for a job well done! . . . the guy no work for me but I recommend him over the one that did. 😂 |

Akerewe: This is not as complex as the initial one u posted earlier. This is made possible with the use of male to female elbow of 2 nd half inches to 1 inch reducer
But the initial one is more complex before it is very rare to see a reducer of 4, 6, 12 inches to one inch, that is why they make use of that pvc mufro clamp as a reducer . . . you probably had me mistaken for someone else, was only showing you what i felt you were talking about and that was my first post |

Akerewe: Hmm, this is too complex for residential building. I think hotels nd big estate can go into this because to get all these fittings and maintain them on the long run would be an issue. Like I said, it's a very upright nd unique water system but it's unlike the normal one we are used to in residential building everywhere. saw this somewhere

bukolo: Good morning and Happy New Year.
How much is electric fence?
Which is preferable between electric fence and barbwire?
cc: topsy
Thank you If you're currently occupying the property I'd go for electric but if not, Barbwire. They have original "barb" at the market. Because even with barbwire in an unoccupied property, pilfering can take place. Let alone an electric fence that can be bent to gain access. NB: Seen these 2scenarios first hand, one is personal while the other isn't. My 2cents |

ifejilika: This roof was done before the rainy season with metecopo, only to discover during the rainy season that it was not lapped well, whenever there is a strong rain and breeze together, it can raise any part of the roof and it will be leaking. I called some installer to check on the best possible solution to it, one suggested to buy extra sheet of metecopo, divide it into two or three parts and place it on all the lapping round the roof, but it will lose its beauty. Another installer said to buy long span and cut into two or three parts of V shape then carefully place it under each lapping, in that case it maintain the beauty. Please which should I go for or is there any other best solution to Each... Though my enginer said it is best to remove the whole sheet and buy a new one.. Loose the beauty and sleep soundly |

michlins: well my statement is based on an individual builder.
There's another point I raised. If the stated price is not within your reach, bargain what you can pay. Believe me no artisan will leave any money which will execute the job when offered.
I did this gate for someone in this thread (didn't reveal his or her identity) the money I charged, my boss will charge double and will probably get the job if we both submit quotation at same place and he will use same materials as me. He has built such a massive customer base that will take me years to cultivate and he is reaping the rewards.
A Samsung phone of relative spec with Tecno will be more expensive than the Tecno. You're not just buying the product but the confidence of after sales service . . . i see what you did there
it's the last line for me

sonnie10: Those distributors selling below the company price make more money. Here is the secret Most companies have rebates of up to 10% on every product a distributor buys. Say you buy a product a product of #10k, the company will record #1k rebate in their system for you.
Big distributors are already established in their private businesses, they don’t need to withdraw their accumulated rebates immediately. They have other sources of income. So their rebates continue to grow for about one year.
Now the business gymnastics . Big distributors mostly are credit worthy at these companies. Meaning they don’t even have to pay right away to carry products worth millions.
As an illustration A distributor goes to a company and purchases goods worth #50M on credit. With 10% rebate, that is #5M profit. But that is not the magic.
Because he knows he now has #5M with the company, he would instead sell those goods for say #48M (below company price) to smaller retailers and end users.
The retailers and consumers are happy to buy from this distributor because he sells cheaper than the manufacturer. He is not selling at a loss, since he still makes #3M after the rebate.
Another distributor who is not using this strategy would wait forever to make one sale while this other person cashes out his rebate steadily. Market is very competitive.
Imagine if this distributor makes an annual sales of #500M. That is #30M in rebate profits without having to use his own cash. lol,
there's room for arbitrage in every sector but this is easier in the books than in reality, especially in our climes (no pun intended) |

I’ll still manage my local Baba Latis but I’ll continue to closely mark them. . . . it's funny how time flies. I remember the boldened like it was yesterday. We've really lost alot of good people to the hands of competition who careless about integrity and the boundless opportunities that arise from good referal. See how person dey one corner dey wait for babaEgun referal in order to patronize our able gbadexy (even with his good name) It's funny how as a service provider you find it easy to spew words around with an aggrieved client online knowing fully well that a large chunk of your potential customer traffic this same community on a daily basis. Some of us have had it with a few names on here as well and prefer to bury the matchet, the good ones we praise and refer. Not everyone is bad, not everyone is good, if you're a service provider, please provide service appropriately. |

hamtabfawaz: Chai... Sorry about your Pop experience.
I think the Majority of the Problem for the second bolded is because most artisans/workers/contractors receive more jobs than they can handle: FOR example = An artisan/contractor getting 2/3 or even 4 jobs within the same time / closer time frame and not knowing, how to effectively manage it. What he/she does is to collect money from all 4 clients, & promise all the 4 client ,to start work by Monday which is impossible. So He decides to start client A work first because his pay is higher, he would then give client B , C & D excuses until client A works enters week 2, he would leave client A job & start doing client B work for three days & then jump to client C work, then client A would be complaining about his uncompleted job, while client B would be complaining about how he abandoned his job & Client C would be complaining about how it took so long for him to start his work & client D would be complaining about being defrauded, the Artisan would eventually have to return client D's money (which he might only return 80% because he already spent 20% from it). A worker collecting 90% of his money before the start of a project, does not stop him/her from being responsible, Negligence of duty & irresponsibility is a choice (A bad one at that). it falls on the individual.
Why these Artisans/contractors/workers behave in this manner? it's because of greediness caused by poverty (while some are not caused by poverty, they're just naturally greedy & irresponsible).
Their Mentality (for behaving that way) is: i don't want to lose any of these potential jobs by prospective client, So the only way to keep this jobs, is to collect money from all the client, so they won't give the job to another Person.
The result of such behaviour: They'd end up losing all the jobs & clients.
The Solution Artisans/Contractors/Project Managers/WorkMen should not take more than they can handle. it's not bad to say “Please Sir, I have a project at the moment, I would not be available to start a new one until two weeks, if you're not in a hurry, I would be available in two weeks, but if otherwise, you can contract to someone else, am available if you have any questions, Thank you” you can have pending jobs, so inform potential new clients about it. Be truthful about your availability & Time frame. On clients part: Please always try to ask workers about their availability for your job, don't be in a hurry to start, it's not bad to ask whoever you're contracting if he/she has job at the moment or pending jobs. Be sure about their availability.
My own Approach I attend to my clients on a first come first serve (FCFS) basis. And usually Truthful about my availability, if there is a change in time, I quickly notify my clients about it. I learnt this from past experience (things I witnessed from others) & Am still Learning as it help one grows, I Learn & Apply.
Nota Bene: My comments / long epistle is about “Workers not doing clients job at the right time -client chasing workers to do a job they've been payed for! - Workers absconding with Client's money - workers delaying client's job for days/weeks before starting after receiving payment without any reasonable excuse!.” My comments are not directed to a particular person, directly or indirectly. My comments is addressing a general issue , directed to all clients & all of us: Artisans/Contractors/CraftsMen/Engineers/Operations Managers/ Project Managers/Vendors/WorkMen.
We all make mistakes & no one is ever Perfect, but the ability to learn from mistakes & grow from it makes one Unique.. ✓✓✓ @michlins, come and see your friend |
