On October 5th, 2016 I tried making an online school fees payment and because of network fluctuations that day the payment wasn't successful and the payment receipt indicated a failed payment, meanwhile the money had been withdrawn from my account. The next day I went to a First bank branch and talked with one of their staff about the issue and the guy lodged the complaints that day. He told me it will be resolved within 3days, that I can go on and make another payment. I waited for 3days and nothing was done, I had to go back to the guy to complain and all he told me was to be patient for the issue to be resolved And I've been waiting. I've sent over 10mails over time to first contact, called their customer care countless time and they keep telling me the issue is still being resolved And up till now nothing has been done. I used to think they resolve failed transaction asap it seems first bank is different. Right now I don't know what to do, if I should just forget about the money since the money has already been credited to the school's account or I should still chill |

"Its funny how we fall in love with the most unexpected at the most unexpected time" - Mollie Rappl Falling in love was the last thing I had thought of in my 300level, let alone fall in love with my classmate. I had been a pretty straight up dude, doing my daily hustling and reading my books as usual. At one point I think I probably got bored with the normal daily routine of school life. Deborah was the last person I could ever imagine to cross path with, let alone develop feelings for her. She was a hard core Muslim, I was the evangelism secretary in my local fellowship. I could bet that it would have been easier for an elephant to go through the eye of a sewing needle than for our paths to cross. It all started on a Thursday, like every other normal Thursday. She sat in the same seat row with me, talking with another of our classmate. We were all waiting for the next lecturer to come in, and I was bored already. I didn't even realize I had already delved into their conversation, and we all had a few chats here and there about some random stuffs. It was then, for some split seconds I thought about how beautiful and homely Deborah was, on her hijab. She had a beautiful smile. You know how random stupid thoughts go through you your mind when you're talking with someone? This was it. For a couple of days after, we had one or two casual conversations here and there together with other classmates I don't know what I was thinking when I randomly joked about liking Deborah to David, a close friend of mine.. It was just one of those statements you say to your friends to see their reaction. And the way David made it look like as if it was impossible to get through Deborah took me by suprise, like she was one no-go-area, probably because she was a muslim. Well, i was a bit suprised to say the least, I couldn't help but take it as a challenge, an exciting one, to try to make Deborah fall in love with me This challenge probably made the next few weeks an exciting one for me. I got Deborah's number and we started chatting on WhatsApp. The way she chatted with me was like she knew my intention by intuition. Our conversation started out as normal as possible, as plain as you can think. Little by little, I started chipping some of my juicy lines in our conversation. She chatted like she didn't want to give in to my intention. Infact it was like she was trying to outsmart me having sensed where I was trying to go with my style of convo. Week passed, and our previously innocent conversation started taking another dimension. We started falling for each other. It didn't make sense to me that I was falling in love with Deborah, but it was happening. We started going to night class together, started spending time together in the faculty. There we spent time getting to know each other, the more we fell for each other. |

I was already in a bus leaving school when I got a call from Kenneth, who was my brother-in-law to be. He wanted me to go to a church to inquire if their hall will be available for reception for their wedding coming up in few weeks time. I had no choice but to oblige, even though I was tired carrying my bag full of clothes. It was on a Saturday morning. After about 20minutes, I got to the church and met a pretty Lady decorating the hall for a wedding reception coming up later that day. She was doing the work all by her self. I introduced myself immediately I walked in. I didn't hesitate to ask her if the hall will be available for reception, and she told me she wasn't sure. She told me only members of the church were allowed to use the hall even for free, or in few cases, for non-members who knew someone that attended the church. Knew someone who attended the church? In my mind I knew this was the right time to switch over to my naughty self. I told her that was why I'd like to know her, so i can get a chance to secure the hall for the reception. She was a bit surprised with the way a complete stranger said those words, with full confidence I seized the opportunity to know more about her, where she schooled and all that. Turned out she was in her finals, just a few years below below mine. For about 20minutes, I spent time dishing out my impromptu punch lines, which made her blush. In between our conversation she was asking me some subtle questions like "Go and tell that to your girlfriend", "I heard Igbo boys don't marry outsiders", blah blah blah. You know all those kind of subtle questions girls ask when they've already started thinking of the possibility of marrying you in their mind. I had to wonder if I told her I had interest in her let alone marry her. I needed no soothsayer to tell me I've had my way through her, and for sure I can use their hall for reception. My sweet words have always worked for me. I knew she wouldn't hesitate to give me her number As I was about to leave, I asked for number. She declined. I mean she declined giving me her number. It took me some seconds to process the 'no' she gave as reply. "Why can't you give me your number?" She just couldn't give a reason. Mhenn, I was quite surprised and disappointed, even after all the whinning she still refused. I just had to walk out politely before I start begging for number like a sinner begging for forgiveness |
