I think you should remark the writing too man, what's the worst that could happen? Those 3 points, should you get them could be important.
I had LSRW 8,8,7.5,8 the first time and was feeling cool on 474 before I lost 5 points and dropped to 469 . Did it again last week and had 9,8.5,9,7.5 and thankfully got 6 points back.

I agree about the preparation part, i tell people that the exam itself isn't the problem, its the mental stress that comes with preparing and waiting for the damn exam. All the best with your remark mate!

My wife was pregnant when we got ITA, because of the pregnancy we wasted time deliberating on how she would do medical/x-ray with the pregnancy. Then covid-19 took us unawares. Thankfully, ircc said we can submit our applications with incomplete documents. So we submitted without doing medicals. When the baby arrives we notified ircc and also got international passport and all other Requirements and uploaded. The baby was added to our application when he was two months old.

You can go ahead and submit you Application. For pregnant women, I hear they can still do x-ray, a lead cover will be given to protect the day from reaching the baby.

Unfortunately u will have to rewrite this. It is a tricky exam n u shd realize above anything that ur last failure does not guarantee that u will pass d next one. You need to respect each exam cos they are all different.

I must admit that passing involves some luck n getting the map question is some bad luck.

The only contribution I have is regarding the question types as seen in the attached picture. I figured out the only way to score all questions with confidence is to tackle this question type as of u r a journalist. I figured this out on my own n I have not found it elsewhere.

Take question 14 for example, when speaker will first mention d keyword "pillow" and proceed to describe where d pillow can be found. Once d speaker starts talking about pillow, write down EVERYTHING u hear regarding pillow. Don't answer d question yet, this is ur jotting stage not answering stage. Do the same thing for questions 14-18, write down everything u hear just like a journalist. You need to be fast with jotting. Ensure ur jottings r bold so u can read your own handwriting. Come back n figure out d right answer.

If u do this question type any other way, it might work but u are taking a big gamble. Some questions are simpler than this, others like the one during my test are a lot harder. There was no way I would have mentally answered d questions without writing it down.

For d map question, it is very intimidating. Not a bad idea if u prepare ur mind that it is ok to miss one or two map questions so it doesn't destabilize u during d test.

471 is a very good score trust me. All you need is just patience. Trust me COVID-19 has changed a whole lot of things around this immigration stuff so saying spouse will come and join you after one year is not a guarantee. A friend in my Church's (here in Calgary) filed for the wife for some times now, still no show. As much as the decision lies with you I'd advise you apply with your spouse accompanying 471 will fetch you ITA it's just a matter of time. All the best
