We only just fell short not crash and burn since February plus we put pressure on the coach to resign because we deserve better.

Your stubbornness to hope on regardless of hard cold facts is what exemplifies the typical delusional standpoint of fanatics.

So yes, I know about fanatism. I did not need to read it up on Google. I see it virtually every time I come here to read posts.

May Conte not bludgeon your hearts come May 27.

You AFC fans crack me up a lot because you can be so delusional. If I may ask you, what about your season shows next season will be any different?

You guys are the type that see 2 men building houses at the same time and when one of them finishes his Bungalow comparatively quicker than the other you begin to gloat that he has failed - forgetting to consider that he may be building something better than a bungalow.

As time passes and the edifice of the second person is done and totally dwarfs the bungalow of the first friend, you guys will change mouth and start saying the one with the edifice simply had better engineers.

I pray you win your 13th FA Cup so that Wenger will retain his managerial position. Well done.
As a Barca fan yourself... at the start of this season... didn't you envision your team lifting La Liga...huh

But your team fell short of the glory...

FYI... As fans of Arsenal football club... lifting all the cups is our minimum expectation... even if it's far fetched... but as FANS!!! imagining the impossible is why we support our club... if you do not know what it means to be a fan of a club... you can Google it up...

Winning titles in his first season was a bonus in Barca. That is not just what he was hired for. The legs you are calling big names were players who had 2 years without a trophy. Xavi for instance was to be traded to Bayern but Pep put it off.

Pep was hired to continue the Barca tradition that Cyruff begun. Play an attractive style, use La Masia grads, create a sustainable playing style and team capable of wining titles and dominating. That squad of 2007/08 has done everything he set out to achieve and are still very relevant 10 years after.

Then came Bayern. "Pep please come and do for us what you did for Barca". Bayern could win most things without Pep but not with the "condiments" and " addendums" that come with him. His foundation is still there and even Carlo said it; that Pep made his work easier.

Under Pep Bayern became boring. Boring because one team held the ball 70% of the time, created a ton of chances and scored loads of goals. If you watch Basketball, it is the same reason the Golden State Warriors are despised. Then critics hounded him for not winning the champions league - yet teams generally do not win that title every now and then. Also take note, Pep's team outscored Carlo's, lost fewer games and conceded less despite going further in all competitions.

The point of all these is to show you that different managers are hired for different things. If you need a quick trophy, Mou is the man for you. If you want a balance you go the Carlo way. But if you are looking for an expansive and attractive perpetual culture of winning then Pep is your man.

That is why I have told you to stop creating your own metrics to judge him by. City played more attractive than they did in the last 3years. Sure, Pellegrini's first season was a goal fest but Pep's team matched and surpassed that team in clear cut chances created. This implies that there is a potential for improved goal scoring numbers come next season.

I don't want to talk too much because the post will be too long but your assertion about Wenger is a lie. Wenger lied about the financial strength of his club all the while because he was unwilling to spend. Had AFC not lost to LFC season beginning he would not have signed Mustafi even with £200M to spend. He underpriced Kante, Lacazette and even Suarez back in the day.

Poch is different because Poch is very willing to spend and play the right way for the most part. I respect him too. He splurged on Sissoko yet barely plays him. So forget about financial power. Most EPL top teams can spend including Tottenham. The question is how many big money talents can they attract?
At the bolded... you're a clown... A big clown... You for no compare clear cut chances created... next time... use possession... rubbish...

You mean like the year 2012/13 when CR7s RM were 2nd La Liga, Semis of UCL and lost in the finals of La Copa Del Rey but he was crowned WPOTY?

You mean the time they reopened voting for the award after he scored a hat trick to help Portugal qualify for the 2014 WC in the Playoffs meanwhile Messi had qualified Argentina as South America's top team plus he was the top scorer. Including winning La Liga with 100 points and 60 goals in All competitions compared to CR7s 51? Where CR7 had 34 La Liga goals to Messi's 46?

Don't. Kid. Yourself.
Like the year 2010... when Schneider won everything winnable and came second in the world cup... only for Messi to be crowned world best... or you don't remember your history...huh

Pep did not win anything in his first season in England. Failed is finite. Wait till his tenure is up then judge. If we judged Jupp based one season in Bayern he failed as well.

Pep was tentative with his defense and rightly so. Besides he had targets but the transfers did not go through. He wanted Bellerin and Bonucci but their parent clubs did not let them go. Calm down.

I have nothing against Conte. But changing a formation and changing a pattern of playing are not the same. One is harder but brings longer lasting results.

I am not one to jubilate or be despondent over one season. Brendan Rodgers, Laudrup, Ranieri had one good season and got booted the next. A new formation will not make you a dynasty. Ask Carlo in CFC.
Pep first season in Barca...huh

Pep first season in Bayern...huh

Pep first season in England...huh

Please compare and contrast...

And he be like say you don dey smoke something stronger than weed... Rodgers coached Swansea, Laudrup coached Southampton and Ranieri coached Chelsea... please... don't fool yourself... all coaches/managers within the capacity of their clubs never disappointed in the first season... you think say I no dey watch football nii...huh undecided

I don't know where Laudrup is... but Rodgers moved on to win the Scottish premier league, Ranieri followed suit...

Pep... coming in with one of the strongest sides in the premiership still struggled to make top 4... even him... can't blame his misfortune in England on his aging RB & LB...

Oh but changing drastically is an excuse. Did you see how CFC played against Watford until some first team starters were brought back? That is what a drastic change can do.

Pep will still get a better LB and RB (the types that can bomb forward and play defense) unlike what they have. Try to imagine Juve's season without Alves. Also the break creates more time for his players to imbibe his playing style - because it is beyond a formation.

At Barca or Bayern he would have been sacked? That also depends on what he had available and what the previous manager achieved. Improvements don't show up in only trophies. Jupp Heynckes was not sacked after going trophyless his first season.

He was signed to change City's style and culture. He does not only work on the tactics but also on player recruitment and rebuilding. His structure is still very much at Barca and Bayern till date. Just open your eyes and look. If his structures were ineffective, successive managers after him would have sought to dramatically change it but they don't.

I hope you know for example that Gundögan got injured early on. Gab Jesus (who has outscored Rashford in far less games) came in Jan and got injured. Nolito and Stones got injured at different times as well. They would have contributed more if they were not unfortunate.

Meanwhile, Joe Hart made a lot of gaffes as well in Torino. If I raised that as the reason City won nothing you are the same person that would have told me "if he knew Hart would be a problem, he should have changed Hart".

Allegri is going to win a treble this season. Did he do so in his first and second? Improvement.
Oga... he had six months to plan... he was announced last v year January... he had two transfer window to replace RB & LB... then a blank cheque... instead he brought in a calamity goal keeper, an inexperience defender, an injury prone midfielder, and six months into the season... a striker...

Pep failed in England... simple and short...

And do not being Conte into this... it's an insult to Chelshit fans... we best them 3-0 at the emirate that saw them changed their formation and turn the season around...
