Côte d'Ivoire hung on to their first-leg lead to get past Senegal and make it to their third-successive FIFA World Cup™, with Salomon Kalou's late equaliser settling frayed nerves in a 1-1 draw. The Elephants made it to Brazil 2014 with a 3-2 aggregate win, but they were very much second-best as Moussa Sow's late penalty saw the Lions of Terranga come within a goal of usurping Sabri Lamouchi's side, before Kalou's lat-gasp leveller. After a lacklustre performance by Senegal in the first-leg, overturning the 3-1 deficit always looked like it would be a challenge, though Papiss Cisse's away goal with virtually the last kick of the game gave them hope coming into the match in Casablanca. It looked clear from the way hosts - who were unable to stage the game on home soil because of riots when the pair met last year - began the game that they knew a quick start was needed. While Gervinho set some initial pulses racing as quick feet saw him cause havoc in the Senegal area, the men in orange spent most of the first period on the back foot. The clearest opportunity of the first-half came after 12 minutes for the chasing side, who were showing some of the fight that was largely missing in the first leg. Stephane Badji picked out Dame N'Doye with a cross from the right, but his downward header had to be spectacularly hacked away by Didier Drogba. The pressure remained, however Idrissa Gueye's follow-up shot was struck firmly but wide. Shortly after N'Doye ensured Boubakar Barry in the Elephants' goal was on his toes, firing a free- kick from an acute angle towards the keeper's near post which he duly punched clear. Sane was next to try his luck, seeing a shot from the edge of area deflected away for a corner – which could have gone anywhere – before connecting with a spectacular, goalbound overhead kick that was charge down by Jean Jacques Gosso. Cisse saw a volley skip wide before the break, where the host will no doubt have been have been kicking themselves for not reducing the deficit, but the Newcastle United striker should have opened the night's scoring straight after the break. A terrible mix-up the back, initiated by Souleymane Bamba, allowed Cisse to go one-on-one with Barry, but the Lokeren keeper stood tall and kept the match goalless. Côte d'Ivoire found any sort of possession difficult as the pressure continued, but N'Doye and Salif Sane saw efforts go wide and blocked respectively as time ran thin for the Lions of Terranga. But just as hope looked to be running out, Drogba of all people pulled down Sadio Mane in the area. Sow converted the penalty to set up a grandstand final 15 minutes. The visitors sprang into life at this point, with their Brazil 2014 dream no longer looking secure, with Yaya Toure testing Bouna Coundoul twice as Senegal desperately searched for a dramatic last- gasp second. With the hosts pouring forward, a breakaway left the Elephants all free to tie the game as Kalou slotted through Coundoul and provide relief for a nation. m.fifa.com/newscentre/news/newsid=2224825/index.html |

for me its yes and No.. yes: I believe gambling should be legalized and taxed because whether it is illegal or not, it still goes on. Gambling happens. Whether the government says it is legal or not, it still occurs under the table. The best thing that the government can do is legalize it, create regulations for fairness and safety, and tax it. It is similar to the idea of prostitution in Nevada. It is going to go on no matter what the law says - you can't prevent it. The best thing you can do for peoples' safety is to legalize, but regulate it. no: Legalizing gambling can affect young children a lot. Since it can get a person a lot of money in an easy way, young children may follow the wrong path. • Gambling becomes addictive very easily. This leads to a lot of debts. Family problems occur and there are fights in the house. • Even though gambling may get a lot of money, if a person looses, social impact is heavy. • Citizens should be encouraged for better things rather than legalizing gambling. Gambling undoubtedly may generate a lot of revenue; legalizing gambling will make people loose their savings in the thirst of earning money the easy way. • Legalizing gambling would also attract people who didn’t gamble at all! • Gambling may lead to political corruption as well. |

Pimples are a normal skin condition that affect many people. Pimples are an inflammation of the skin in which the sebaceous glands (oil glands) become infected with bacteria, swell up, and fill with pus. Excess sebum secretion by the oil glands is the primary cause behind this problem. Pimples generally occur on the face, neck, back and shoulders. Though not a critical condition, pimples can make a person feel miserable due to their appearance. There are a lot of lotions and medicines on the market to treat pimples but they can take time. Many natural methods are effective in treating pimples within a very short time period. Here are the top 10 ways to get rid of pimples fast. 1. Ice Ice can be used to quickly get rid of pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in freezing the skin pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can use ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever is convenient. Wrap the ice in a piece of cloth and hold it on the affected skin area for a few seconds. Wait a few minutes and repeat the process . When used repeatedly on the pimples throughout the day, ice helps reduce inflammation or swelling and will immediately soothe your skin. [Related: Top 3 Face Masks for Acne (Pimples) ] 2. Lemon Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C. Lemon juice helps pimples dry up faster. Be sure to use fresh lemon juice and not bottled juice, which has preservatives. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy. Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply it to the pimples before going to bed. You can also make a paste by mixing one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and put it on the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water. However, this particular remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin. 3. Honey Honey is a source of natural antibiotics that can speed up the healing process, as well as help prevent infections. Dip and clean cotton swab in honey , put it directly on the affected area and leave it on for half an hour . Wash the skin well with lukewarm water . Another option is to mix honey and cinnamon together to make a paste and applying it over the pimples before going to bed. In the morning, there will be less inflammation or swelling. Wash the skin well with cold water. 4. Toothpaste The toothpaste that you use every morning to clean your teeth also can be used to treat pimples quickly. It is most effective when used following the ice remedy. You must use white toothpaste; avoid using gel toothpaste. Apply some white toothpaste over the affected skin area before going to bed . In the morning, wash your face with water and you will see a significant improvement in the swelling. If you wish, you can repeat the process in the daytime also. Just make sure the toothpaste remains on the pimples for at least half an hour. 5. Steam Steaming is wonderful for your skin at any time, but particularly when you have pimples. The steam will open your pores and allow your skin to breathe. This helps get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation. Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for a few minutes . Rinse your face with lukewarm water and, after drying, apply an oil -free moisturizer . This treatment will also give your complexion a lovely glow. 6. Garlic Garlic is an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. The sulfur in garlic also promotes quick healing of pimples. Cut a fresh garlic clove into two pieces. Rub the garlic on the pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing the skin with lukewarm water . Repeat the treatment several times a day. Eating one raw garlic clove daily can also help purify your blood. But do not to eat too much raw garlic as it can upset the stomach. |

Just as they have done on four previous occasions in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, Argentina reached the semi-finals at UAE 2013 only to miss out on a place in the final. Yet, having grown in stature throughout the tournament, the Argentinians are refusing to be downhearted following Tuesday’s semi-final defeat to Mexico, and are already looking forward to Friday’s match for third place against Sweden. One of La Albiceleste’s standout performers in the UAE has been Lucio Compagnucci. The Velez Sarsfield midfielder has turned in some courageous displays so far and was hurting more than most at losing out to the Mexicans. “It’s very painful and I feel pretty powerless, which I suppose is how you should feel after losing a semi-final,” he told FIFA.com . “It was a strange game. We missed a penalty four minutes in. Then they scored, got another, and we had a player sent off. I feel very angry because the ball just didn’t want to go in.” The No14 identified the penalty miss and first-half dismissal of team-mate Joaquin Ibanez as crucial to the outcome of the game: “If we’d scored that penalty and not had a player sent off, I think we would have won. "If we’d put it away, we could have then sat back and hit on the counter. It was just bad luck for Sebastian Driussi, but we all know very well that he’s helped us to win on other occasions, even if he couldn’t manage it today.” Concurring with that view was Argentina defender Nicolas Pinto: “People watching the game could see that Mexico were not the better side. I think we outplayed them the whole game, but we had the misfortune of going a man and two goals down. When one of our players got sent off, the team lost its shape and they had more space. To my mind the result is misleading, because we would have gone on to win easily if we’d scored the penalty.” Coach Humberto Grondona also weighed in: “There was only one team playing in the second half. They made the most of the counter-attack they had and made the difference in the scoreline. Mexico are a good side and they play very well. It was their night tonight, not ours, and it’s as simple as that.” Sights on Sweden Argentina now have a couple of days in which to lick their wounds and take stock of Tuesday’s defeat, though they still have a battle for third place with Sweden to look forward to. Contemplating their last assignment in the UAE, Compagnucci said: “After missing out on the final, all I can say is that we’re keeping our heads held high and we’re proud of this team and the family we’ve become. We’re going to go all out for that third place because we’ve worked very hard to get this far and we don’t want to go away empty-handed.” Pinto, who plays for Boca Juniors back home and came on with half an hour remaining against the Mexicans, mapped the way forward for Argentina: “We’re going to rest now, let the dust settle and think about Friday’s match. We’re going to give it all we’ve got because coming third is not the same as coming fourth. We’ll be putting the preparations in so that we can climb on to the podium.” “It’s been a long time since an Argentinian team reached the semi-finals of a World Cup,” added Grondona, expressing his satisfaction with his side’s performance thus far. “The boys are feeling down but they know that they gave everything they had out there. We got together on the pitch after the game and I congratulated them and told them what a father would do with his sons, though that’ll stay in the dressing room.” Grondona added that he has set one last objective for the whole squad: “The boys and all the technical staff want that podium finish now. I know it’s not the best, but I think it will spur them on for the rest their career and in the stage of development they’re at right now.” www.fifa.com |

The list of musicians who rake in millions of dollars are usually reserved for international megastars like Beyonce or Kanye West and people who largely hail from the western world. However, there are artistes across Africa whose stars are rapidly rising and they are able to command larger paychecks around the world. Highly influential and each bringing their own unique sound, these artistes represent the richest African musicians, according to Answers Africa. ANTHONY ADA ABRAHAM brings you the list. 10. Jose Chameleone Jose (or Joe) Chameleone is a Ugandan artiste who found his niche blending traditional Ugandan folk music, a bit of rumba and a heavy reggae influence. He sings in English, Swahili and Luganda. His mansion outside of Kampala and four cars (including a Cadillac Escalade and a Benz) are evidence of his success, particularly with his hit, ValuValu. He's been credited with changing the face of music in Uganda, as well as making local music accessible to the rest of the world. 9. Banky W Born Olubankole Wellington in the U.S, Banky W moved back to Nigeria and grew up in Lagos, where he began singing at an early age. Finding success early in singing competitions, most of his wealth has come from endorsement deals with companies such as Etisalat mobile and Samsung in Nigeria. He also started the Mr Capable Foundation, an education charity that provides tuition scholarships for disadvantaged children. 8. Hugh Masekela Musical sensation Hugh Masekela is a South African artiste who plays variety of instruments including the trumpet, flugelhorn and cornet, along with singing and composing his own work. His most popular song, African Queen, took off after being featured in the movie Phat Girlz in 2006, but all of his five albums have been very well received around the world. His wealth comes from various real estate investments across Nigeria, as well as the $80,000 he commands per show. 6. Fally Ipupa Fally Ipupa, a former member of Quartier Latin International (along with Koffi Olomidé, to be mentioned later), went solo in 2006 and has been incredibly successful, both in his home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as internationally. With MTV Africa Music and Kora awards under his belt, he's racked up clothing endorsement deals in Paris as well as high commissions for his shows across the world which are almost always sold out. 5. Salif Keita Born and raised in Mali, singer and songwriter Salif Keita has been referred to as the "Golden Voice of Africa," with his original take on Afro pop music. Despite his royal heritage (he's directly descended from Sundiata Keita, the founder of the Mali Empire), he chose a path of music, bucking the Malian caste system. But this means that he was loaded even before his music career took off, explaining his private island and properties across Europe. 4. Koffi Olomidé Along with fellow Congolese star, Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomidé formed Quartier Latin as lead singer and vocalist before launching his solo career. Dubbing his style of music as tchatcho, he considers it a blend of soukous music (dance music that originated from African rumba music). He's notorious for taking on controversial subjects in his lyrics, which has led him to be widely praised and criticised worldwide. Raking in over 100,000 Euros per show, Olomidé is extremely popular across Africa and the world. One of his albums is listed in Robert Dimery's book, "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die." 3. They were named Artistes of the Year at the 2010 Kora Awards and now bring in more than $150,000 per show. Best of all, their shared home is worth more than $3 million and has been dubbed "Squareville." Talk about product placement! 1. Youssou N'dour Not surprisingly, YoussouN'dour brings it home in the No. 1 spot. This Senegalese singer is widely considered the most famous singer alive in Senegal and much of Africa. His style of music is known as mbalax, a mix of Senegalese traditional music in the Serer language and various styles from around the world including Cuban rumba, hip hop, jazz and soul.
