I am quite dissapointted , but on the other side fortunate to have come across this thread after registering with shippyme, with the hope of using her for my propose shipment which is still in my shopping cart.

Perhaps you should try the service with a little and then make up your mind. Every company has ups and downs. At this time our services are optimal. Try it.

@Catlanta i called your customer care line today and told him i was about to go make payments in the bank for an order of mine and he said no problem. 4 hrs after making payment to zenith bank i didnt recieve any mail as to if my order was succesful or my deposit was made. My account is reading 0.00 and i added the fund and its been pending and i tried calling the customer care line but the both numbers were switched off. I just want to know the state of my order. Has my deposit been recieved? Has my order been made? When will it be made? I just want a feedback, any feedback as no means of comunicating with u guys right now seem responding. My order number is 1502173272. Thanks.

Please patient. 4 hours is not a long time. Once the payment reflects in our account, your order will be approved and a notice will go to you automatically. Once approved the purchase is almost immediate. Some times it take a bit of time for payments to reflect in our accounts. Thanks for your patronage.

Saw this on your FB page. And I believe you are already working towards that perfection. All the best!

Thanks for the kind words. We need such at these times. Building an effective system comes up against a lot of external challenges. I really appreciate your optimism. I wish others can understand that we are involved in a process of improvement that is materialising everyday.

Please stay away from this guys. I've used them 3 times already and i can tell you something will always come up. I shipped my items to them over a month now, I've called several times, still no progress. I can assure you shippyme, that at this rate you guys will be out of business this time next year. Good idea but bad execution.
For people that buy from amazon, you can try shipping directly to Nigeria. It might be slightly more expensive but you're guaranteed to receive your items on time.

@zPixel, I believe in progress and change is the only thing that is a constant. We have had major challenges since the last quarter of 2014 and then previously in early 2014. We learnt a lot from those experience and have made very major changes to how we operate. There are still minor issues and this will be ongoing just like any other major system. Improvement is an ongoing process. If you try the system now, you will see a stark difference from the experience of 2014. We are indeed sorry for your experience but all the feedback we have received have been utilised to implement improvements. This time next year, rather than be out of business, I can assure you we will be the best in the industry. That change is already here. It takes time to build a good thing and we don't always get it right the first time. But we are way better now.

We are expecting a consignment from Cutoms today and the rest of the pending consignments will be coming in this week. I really apologies for delays that have resulted from events very much out of our control. The current situation causes us as much concern. We are working very hard to restore our service to normal schedules.

@nenyibabs, the Nigerian staff were right in stating that your package was shipped. It was not updated because the staff responded to a request to ship in an adhoc fashion without updating the status on the system. I am actually in NJ now troubleshooting our systems, training staff here on how the backend system should work and clearing up any backlogs. There have been many errors but from what I can see here, these are simple procedural problems that good training can resolve. I take responsibility for not doing it sooner and being here more often. You have used shippyme several times before and I am sure you know how it works without these human failures. I assure you I am working to restore precision and speed to the system.

nenyibabs:

@catlanta: see, you know one thing that is worse than poor service, is misinforming your clients. And im talking deliberate misinformation. You told me twice, TWICE on this forum that my items S1411131787. had been shipped early last week, even though my account still read: prepared for shipping. Its one week now, and I was looking forward to picking my items, then I suddenly get a mail and a status update on my account showing that my items have just been assigned to a batch for shipping!! Not clearing custons, not shipped, but assigned to a batch. At first, i thought it was a fluke and decided to give it 24hrs for the real message to come, but it still stands till now. My items have not even left the warehouse in US, not to talk of shipping to Nigeria!!

Its wrong. All kinds of wrong. The items are not business items, so Im not suffering as much as other people here whose business depends on your shipping. But I respect integrity, and I need to recieve correct information so as to plan myself, and you are failing me on both counts.

I will not be bothering you about my shipments agian, either via email, phone call, facebook or here. The items are clothings for my son, which I can buy anywhere. Ship it at your time. Im not even going to complain about my other order 1411139457 running cuncurrently on circuit atlantic. That one, from all indications will be coming by may next year, since its taking one month plus for items ordered from walmart to get to your warehouse. Obviously walmart is sending a messenger on foot to deliver it to you, item by item. It is well. Ive given up.

At least one good thing has come out of this: Ive realized that I do have other shipping options, and I will be exploring these other alternatives. Good luck as you run your business into the ground.

@TSAT, I have been looking into your case and it has been resolved. Consolidation was selected after your order started processing. Because we did not receive one item in the order we waited for that item before shipping. It seems there was a communication gap when you instructed us to leave the pending items and ship. Your order is now ready to ship this week. I am sorry about the delay. Thanks

@ irohadis,

You asked for constructive advice and recommendations, how about working on the very basics of a shipping services (with very much more emphasis on shippyme branch of your business) which is TIMELY DELIVERY!

Honestly, I am not here to thru tantrums or hate, I have been following this thread from inception and had not said a word because some of us like to observe and observe b4 commenting. The delivery time of packages from shippyme has drastically dropped! Like post no. 297 rightly said.. it appears your company is the only one which leaves items uncleared or rather it takes 2 weeks plus for goods which have landed Nigeria to be cleared. Take for a practical example my prio email on this page to you, my items status had been updated as clearing customs very close to 10 days before the closure of NAHCO warehouse, do you honestly think that if your agents were up and doing those goods wouldn't have cleared customs b4 the closure??

You have moved in the right direction of weeding out the bad staff in your employ, upgraded to decent CS that answers the phones always with some politeness, I implore you to go ahead and work on the core functions of your business which is fast delivery... my last item which was a perfum came in after 2 months, infact very close to 3 months simply because it had to come with 'special shipment' That is not acceptable, I had shipped engine oil, lubricants, perfumes with shippy me b4 and they all arrived in less than a month.

I commend you for being one of the pioneers in automated freight forwarding services, you really made things easy and I used to admire you and I always said you were a genius for cooking up this service, hell you would personally call my Nigerian number to work out rates just to make sure it goes down well with me back in the very infant days of circuit atlantic!.. I was always happy doing business with you, but times have passed, the shopping business has exponentially grown because all a Nigerian needs now is just his banks ATM card and he could easily buy from any website... Paypal has come to stay in Nigerian and so you really have to accomodate the changes and match other people who have come to explore this market.
I believe like you responded to somebody down the line that shippyme is still very much in business, very true, i for one still believe but for how long can I continue to waddle in the game of late deliveries, There has been a lot of aggrieved customers of recent especially on this thread, I implore you to find a way to amicably settle all grudges, especially old clients and people who are members of this forum.

God bless us all and the best of the Yuletide season to everyone.

@chuckdee, thanks for your candid feedback. First I must state that we have not delivered since a month now. Though NAHCO has opened, there is no agent that can claim they have been able to get out a cargo as at yesterday. Before the strike, we had Ebola related delays from airlines and even the cargo that was clearing Customs got held back because we had to inspect it due to parts of it that appeared tampered. Before we finished the process, NAHCO struck. So many things went wrong at the same time.

Now we had other problems too. You remember how efficient we were in the early days. Thanks. With scale comes a new set of problems. I did not manage it well. I paid others a lot of money to do it for me. Now I am taking control and doing the leading. I find I am the best person to execute my vision. That efficiency you refer to is nearly getting achieved. I changed a lot of things to better use the system we built. You will notice the difference I promise. I am taking personal charge.

I like how all these Shippyme haters are always here commenting and on the site monitoring exchange rate. Show some indifference to this thing that doesn't matter so much, else, we have some fans here, lol! I am beginning to like this our love/hate relationship. As you stick around, you will see the superb rebuilding work we are doing making Shippyme better.

@TSAT sorry for the drama and delays. Shippyme has everything they need to succeed; a customer interactive website and all that but too much greed is their problem. Shippyme should be able to ship every weekend but greed is too much you pay for 8 to 12 days and get your package is 2 to 3 months it's obvious you pay for air and the accumulate package and sea freight to maximize profit not caring about their customers.

Shippyme ships twice a week and not even once. Customer service ethics demands that I be polite. But I have very little patience for ignoble and malicious entities such as this. I can see that you are among a few handles that have been on this thread consistently promoting discontent. Why does it matter so much to you to pursue a negative campaign? Fact, customers can see through that and that is why Shippyme is still very much in business. If your ethics wasn't questionable, I would have advised you to apply and we can evaluate you for a position to help make shippyme a stronger service. Shippyme is not perfect and like every start-up a work in progress. But I will not let your misinformation go unanswered.

NAHCO the customs clearing warehouse was shut down for 2 weeks. Prior to the shutdown, your package was undergoing clearing. Now that the clearing has resumed, there is a backlog causing more delays. You would have received your package on schedule if not for this situation that has nothing to do with Shippyme. Your package status says "clearing customs." You are right in saying "God help the good citizens of this country." Shippyme has to work with these externalities in Nigeria.

These shipments S1405263649, S1406035629 have not been delivered since August. Ive emailed & call your customer care & ive gotten tired.
Im really really surprised in this day and age a person of your sophistication & intellect allowed a couple of idiots throw away away all the goodwill and patronage from loyal customers over the years. You really need to overhaul you customer service department, Crises are inevitable, what is more important is how you manage it, control the damage & recover.
I hope you guys get over all these issues because i paid insurance for my shipments, I have lost a lot of money as well as my integrity, my business is suffering and I need to get replacements just to save face.

Both S1405263649 and S1406035629 were shipped by Sea freight based on your selection. In your account, the the status says "processing for delivery." These items should be at ABC terminal in PH since August or at our warehouse in Lagos. Have you gone there to see if there are packages there for you? I will personally follow up on this. Thanks.

@irohadis;
Please what is the actual status/situation of this shipment: S1410208614
I got a 'CLEARING CUSTOMS' update since the 13th of November, yet the status never changed to 'cleared customs' until 21st November that the warehouse shutdown commenced.
Now I received 2 emails in the wee hours of today on this same order, the first one saying: 'DEPARTED' and i nearly had a fit because i was sure the items were already in Nigeria from the initial email update i got, but then an hour later another email bearing 'CLEARING CUSTOMS'
Now does it mean the goods never got cleared even though it had been in Nigeria one week plus before the closure? did the goods just leave the US? is the goods still yet to be cleared?? If so, what is the ETA on that?
Thank you.

If you login to your user account, you will see the status is still "clearing customs." If you got any message other than that, it must be in error. Please forward the email to procurement@circuitatlantic.com and I will have the IT team debug it. Meanwhile you should get your package next week. As expected the backlog is causing delays in clearing. The worst part is this is Christmas. I feel for businesses but this is our Nigeria.

Your shipment status actually says "clearing customs" and it has been that way because of 1, the strike at NAHCO and 2, the delays from the backlog at NAHCO. This issue affected everyone.

While i was booking my shipment, i discovered that i made a spelling error in the course of registeration. I wrote Okechukw instead of Okechukwu. I tried to make a correction but i can't. How would that affect me?

There should be no problem with that. Where there will be a problem is when we start receiving packages bearing John Robbinson for your address when the registered name is "Okechukw." Write us an email and the IT department should be able to sort it out for you.

There is something called context. Your statement was not situated clearly in the context of your broader participation with Shippyme. Given your clear agenda to diminish Shippyme, it does not take a rocket scientist to decode how you want your comment to be read and the objective you intended. I am simply providing that missing context so that readers can have the full gamut of information. You did not pay for insurance but you want to file a claim for loss and benefit fully like others who paid for insurance. Since that claim was not resolved exactly as you want it, you have been here smearing Shippyme thinking you can blackmail your way to your own terms. I need to make it clear to readers. You promote other companies (no problem) but your data is consistently either without detail or patently false. I have a responsibility to question your honesty.

@ twinskenny. You have used Shippyme nearly 20 times. NOT "3 times" as you conveniently claim. I have attached evidence. If it fails all the time, what kind of person are you to use it nearly 20 times? You seem to be full of lies and your maths is generally either convenient or you lack the aptitude to calculate percentages. You have an agenda here with your friends. It is not working. You have effectively become a troll. Nice new career for you. Enjoy!

Shippyme has really changed. For the guy that said is friend brought 10 dollar phone and was billed 13 dollar please ask your friend what he selected. For twinskenny I learnt that you were giving an offer but you rejected it. But how can you do business worth over 300k and not put insurance. Even dhl will insist on you putting insurance. I learnt that it was you and someone that was affected in that batch but the other person have accepted the offer and move on. People that put insurance are not fools. If I am buying a phone worth 100k, I must add insurance. But if I am buying a curve 4 I can option out of insurance.

its ur opinion bro, and i dont really have much to say to you cause u just registered a few days ago.... meanwhile my item was stolen by one of them.. i dont care if insurance work or not.. with time we shall sort it out one way or the other.. the guy ewuajale that settle with them has his own secret.. its 300k yes am alive and am going to pursue it to a logical conclusion.. their offer is not good enough. told them blankly am not going to do business with them again why offering me shipping credit? give me 80percent and let me work away they refused. you think am a fool hell no.. since july this year this has been ongoing. every shipping company take care of insurance which is always include in your bill in there own case its not... if you purchase a phone worth 20k and you want to make profit go ahead and put insurance of 10k

You "thank God my phone didn't get missing," yet "[a]n item I ordered since May has still not been delivered." Am I the only one who can see what is going on here?

dandollar1:
So people still use Circuit Atlantic, na wa o! An item I ordered since May has still not been delivered.I have called and sent mails taya, and have left them to God.
Very terrible customer service with one matilda acting like she is doing you a favor.,they overcharge and yet your items get to you after about at least, 1month.thank God my phone didn't get missing.I thought I was the only one experiencing this rubbish.i pray I don't find any need to use them again, ever.

@ twinskenny. You have used Shippyme nearly 20 times. NOT "3 times". I have attached evidence. If it fails all the time, what kind of person are you to use it nearly 20 times? You seem to be full of lies and your maths is generally either convenient or you lack the aptitude to calculate percentages. You have an agenda here with your friends. It is not working.

The email you quoted effectively resolves your issue. If you login to your user account, you can see the status of your packages. If you expand each booking you can click to see the picture of what was received for you. All these are in your hands. What else do you want us to do for you?

dailydolar:
@IROHADIS RESOLVE DIS
Dear Fidelis,
Good day and sorry for the late response to your email.
This booking S1409098270 is ready to ship, but because it is shipping as a HAZMAT item, they are yet to dispatch as they go through series of clearance in the US before they leave.
As for the discrepancy in charges, it must be as a result of packaging. In as much as the items are of the same weight, the packaging may be different.
Regarding the ones that are yet to be confirmed, we have alerted our US team to make that confirmation for us and update the status for you.
Thank you and best regards.
Collins.

@maryjames9
We are here to address problems. If you have one, state it clearly and it will be resolved. "I STRONGLY ADVISE ANY BODY TO RUN AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY, THEY ARE NO GOOD, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!" is neither a statement of a problem or an objective education for prospective users.

Shippyme like any product is not for everybody. If you are not comfortable with technology and how it can bring efficiency to you, stay with other companies. If you like to work with a technology driven process, we are happy to listen and learn.

Dozens of new users are subscribing everyday and hundreds of packages are shipped every week. So, I do believe there are more discerning users out there.
