WoodcrestMayor: If you recall, I asked you for your booking reference number and you never provided one then. Yet you continued to post comments about the service. I drew my conclusions from that fact. If you can't provide me a way to help you and you continue to complain, it is only logical to assume that the poster is troll. Shippyme is a startup and by no means perfect. We are adjusting all components of the system all the time and based on our user's experiences. We welcome constructive criticism and most of the changes we have made are based on such critical feedback. Shippyme has an express service as fact as DHL and UPS. The cost is cheaper than the listed services but several times more expensive than the regular service. Speed is expensive. Shippyme ships 2 times a week and under normal circumstances, we can deliver within the promised 5 - 12 working days. The number of complaints on Nairaland can be reduced to under a dozen actors. That is a far cry from the thousands of users registered with Shippyme. We work hard to address their issues but their displeasure is by no means symptomatic of the broader experience of the majority. No one who has an active booking on Shippyme can say they don't know if their items have been received for months. It is always there in your user account to see. I believe there is an issue of a cultural shift that we also need to address. Shippyme tries to use technology to put more control in the hands of the users. We have to push for that change. But it is hard when people are used to the tactile contact with people for updates and followups. We will get there. 2 Likes |

This is a thread to provide support to customers. If you have a well articulated issue, we will respond to it. It is hard to respond effectively to misguided name-calling and repetitive posts clearly driven by other motivations. Shippyme users use it because it presents the best value proposition to them. 1 Like |

Shippyme is an app. You need to keep an eye on your user account. If we don't educate users on how it works, we will not achieve efficiency. It takes too many people and money to offer a personal service. We would like the app to work for you. |

MrsNaira: The customer care person you called does not know precisely when your items would arrive. He or she is right and can only give you an estimate. But the Shippyme system will tell you. It is automated and you need not call. Just login to your account and you will see the current status. When it is dropped off to the airline, you will get an email. You will also get emails when it flys, starts going through customs in Nigeria, arrives at our warehousing facility in Lagos and ready for collection or on its way to you. The ETA will also be displayed in time inside your user account. Meanwhile at each point you will have two ways to see what is happening: 1. enter your booking number on the tracking field on home page. 2. login to your account and go to "track shipments" page to view your bookings. Take advantage of the system and only call when it really can't help you. |

dailydolar: You are a paid troll. If you have ever used Shippyme, leave your booking reference number and I will address you effectively. There are many of you posting nonsense because you can. But when asked for proof of actually using the company you never respond with one. Hating will not stop the thousands of people using the best indigenous shipping company in Nigeria. 1 Like |

That kind of weight by ABC is very affordable. Should be under 2K if not phone or laptop. |

Johnpaul2k2: Yes. You can change your delivery method to ABC on the system or call to have it changed for you. You will have to pay for any price difference generated by the system before your item can ship. Else you can have your contact pick up in Lagos just as you have currently selected. Pickup can be done tomorrow. |

WoodcrestMayor: If you disclose your booking reference number, we can figure out why you still don't have a response. Without that, we really can't help you and it is pointless complaining. 1 Like |

MrsNaira: Booking 1. S1408286535 has a pending balance and can't ship until balance is paid. Booking 2. S1409023772 has ETA of 2 days remaining if you look in your user account. The status in your account is "clearing customs." That is the current status and the ETA of 2 days means it is still on time. Unless the ETA elapses, there is really no reason to call because customer service will give you the same info in your user account tracking information. Customs is unpredictable but we have assurances the pending shipment will be out tomorrow. |

Insurance is a % of declared value and the shippyme system does the maths for you. Insurance for goods of 25K will only be 6% before and 4% now of 25K. You can never get anything different. Try it on shippyme.com live. It is automated. 15K insurance for goods of 200K is 7.5% and more that Shippyme ever charged. Shippyme is cheaper if you know maths. 2 Likes |

The competition If you think Shippyme is not the best, please I implore you to use this forum to do as I have done to demonstrate to the public the user experience of the competition. Let users make up their minds based on facts and not blackmail and angry agitations of those who want to bend the rules to their favour. 3 Likes |

8. If you need to pay, the payment options are just a click away. Basically, you can handle all your shipping from your desk or phone.

7. That is not all. You can follow the progress of that booking from the "Track shipment" page in your user account. You can see in realtime any updates made to your booking and the estimated time of arrival. You can also change your handling and delivery options from here before your package ships. Thus, if you forgot something like INSURANCE, you can come back and add it. Users have full control.

6. Finally you get a confirmation of your booking. The invoice is dynamic and the values change based on the package sizes and weights Shippyme receives for the specific booking, as well as any changes to the handling options after the booking has been made.

5. On the payment page, all the options are selected by default. You have to DE-SELECT the options you don't want. NOTE: INSURANCE is selected by default and the user agrees to the terms. 2 Likes
