JudasNaCarrot: Very good development that is worthy of emulation by other super rich pastors. Give back to the society because the money isn't yours. Build free schools, craft centres, hospitals and anything that will help humanity.
Buying private jets and building many estates and businesses using tithe paid by the poor is sin against God and unChristlike.
On the other hand....the adherents of the religion of "piss" would never do a thing like this. It surprises me how they rejoice and very comfortable seeing millions of children roaming the streets dressed in rags and plates begging for food. None of their "big men and women" ever have a charity organisation or established fund to cater for the needs of the masses.
A certain politician from the South East recently built free school, well equipped in the home town of the Dundee.

magicminister: The reason I don’t support Amotekun
Anyone that grew up in the ghettos of Lagos will remember that OPC reigned supreme during the 90’s - early 00s and also butchered yorubas indiscriminately on the flimsiest of accusation.
I vividly remember the charred bodies of young men that lined up our streets almost every day and would remain there for weeks until it either goes back to the earth or is picked up by the relevant agencies.
I remember the OPC traffic stops where they’d have people disembark from the danfo and proceed to separate non-yorubas. Some get accused of being “armed robbers” which is an instant death sentence.
I remember the murder of my friend. He was a humble barber and street kid just like me. I came back from my car wash hussle to learn he was murdered by OPC after his landlord accused him of being an armed robber. He dragged out of his house in the mid day, beaten to stupor and then set ablaze. His properties were looted and the remnants discarded.
I remember these things vividly. While Amotekun is a good idea, what are the checks and balances to ensure they do not devolve into the immoral and wicked acts of the state sponsored OPC in the 90s.
I know I’ll get insulted for this but this is my true life story in the ghettos of Lagos. Amotekun is a NO for me unless there are sufficient checks and balances.
Who do we report to if there happens to be abuse of authority?
What are the checks and balances to ensure erring members are severely punished?
What trainings do the undergo to be able to deal with people professional and discharge their duties adequately?
Until there is a solid guideline on Amotekun, this is an effort that will lead to further abuse and oppression of the Nigerian people. I hope you ask this your same questions when Hisba or Civilian JTF was created? |

Any where you see they speak Hausa in kogi, the language is been spoken by Hausa settlers within theirselves. You people will just be saying rubbish on something you have no knowledge of. Even in Benue they don't use Hausa as means of communication. The only three state in north central where Hausa is been spoken widely is Nassarawa, Plateau and Taraba plus FCT. |
Crime › 4 Herdsmen Killed In Kogi, Their Bodies Dumped In Ofu Rivers -Retaliatory Attack by isaacsegun(op): 9:06am On Jan 21, 2020 |
Suspected youths from Oforachi community in Idah LGA of Kogi State, have allegedly killed four herdsmen and dumped their bodies in the Ofu rivers.
It was gathered the attack was in response to the killing of 65-year-old Godwin Egbunu in his farm.
An eyewitness, Audu, who claimed that the incident happened last Friday, said that the farmer was attacked by some herdsmen who invaded his farm land and destroyed all the crops.
According to him, the farmer went to station where two policemen were asked to go with him to the farmland.
But on getting there, the suspected herdsmen attacked the latter, right in presence of the policemen and killed him.
Angered by the killing of the farmer, the youths killed four herdsmen in retaliation while the policemen said they could not stop the killing of the farmer because they were unarmed.
A resident said that members of the community can no longer close their eyes but are keeping vigilance to forestall any retaliatory attacks.
Communities close to Oforachi, including Ogbogbo, Odolu, Akpanya, are said to be living in fear for fear of possible reprisal attack by the herdsmen.
The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Williams Aya, in a statement confirmed the incident.
According to him: “On the 18th of this month (January 2020), at about 0700hrs, information was received from Oforachi, that unknown persons suspected to be herdsmen killed one Godwin Egbunu, aged 65, of same addressed, at his farm and as a result angry youths from the village began attacking any Fulani on sight.”
He said SUPOL stationed at Ajaka immediately mobilised his personnel to the scene and rescued two herdsmen from the mob but was seriously injured.
Aya, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, said that the injured herdsmen were rushed to Isah Hospital for treatment.
“Area Command Idah equally mobilised personnel from divisions under his command, while PMF SARS operatives reinforced the team on the ground.
“Normalcy have been restored. They took the photographs of the corpse and was taken to general hospital mortuary for autopsy as investigation continue,” he stated
He also said one Mohammed Arade, a Fulani, of Egabada village reported at the Ajaka police station that two of their men namely Abubakar Nahare, 65, and Hassan Natunku, 60, have not been seen since when the incident happened.
He said that a search party led by the Acting Area Commander, Idah, immediately swung into action, as the corpse of the two missing herdsmen were recovered from inside the Ofu River at Oforachi, with their hands tied into nine inches block.
He said that the photographs of the deceased was taken and their corpse taken to general hospital mortuary for autopsy, as investigation continues. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/tension-in-kogi-over-alleged-retaliatory-killing-of-four-herdsmen/amp/

Mightymanna: Non of these regional security apparatus will help Nigeria's unity because they are conceived with sinister motives toward some ethnic groups in the country. For those that are shouting HISBAH and civilian JTF in the North are also illegal, they should look at the aforementioned from different perspectives because Hisbah was created by Kano state and civilian JTF by Borno state non of these Security agencies are allowed to use gun or any sophisticated weapons But amatekun or whatever they call it is a different case because 1.a whole geo-political zone decided to create it 2. They will be allowed to use weapons 3. They are being supported by people of questionable character e.g Nnamdi KANU 4. Other regions might do the same hence the federal police will be useless and conflicts will started based on perceived injustice by people of different ethnicity.
Therefore amatekun or whatever is dead and buried the Northerners will not agree will these sort of security arrangements, if you want secure your region cooperate with the police and army in your respective states, support them with necessary , material and financial support and watch how things will change for you to come and be telling us cjf don't carry weapons I can confirmed that you are not OK men.tall.y!!! either you and your almajiri folks like it or not Amotekun has come to stay and nothing you goro chewing lots can do about it. |
