I can only see a hand full of unbiased analysis from a few egg heads here.

Truth is that the team generally didn't have a poor game. They out played the Rwandans hands down.
24 shots average with 3 shots hitting the wood work is a lot. As a matter of fact, it will be be difficult to find a team who will shoot 23 times on goal cumulatively all tournament. I will be worried if the team struggled to create chances but that wasn't the case.

By the way, did anyone notice the long throws by the left back? Every throwing appeared to be a free kick. You could get the vibe the Rwandans were nervous whenever there was a throw in awarded against them. Hopefully the long throw tactics pays off sometime as the tournament went on.

I am quite optimistic about our chances in this tournament. If the team can get it right in front of goal, an unlucky team could be in for a real spanking.

Malu is derogatory which means cow.
Most Hausa people down south are called aboki mallam, and there's nothing derogatory about the 2 words.
Anyone that calls a northerner Malu purposely wants to look for trouble, and will use such words in a fight. But for normal everyday living in the south, they are called aboki mallams. They don't take offence to such words since you don't know their name- I'm talking of northerners in the markets, or who do all sorts of other manual jobs that you just meet for a few minutes.
In an office setting or people you work everyday with, you call them by their own names- Isah, Ibro/Ibrahim etc.

I doubt any southerner will tell you they feel welcome in the present day North.
You hardly ever hear of any northerner in the south complain of discrimination.
The problems usually arise when people want to dictate how others live their personal lives.
In NYSC camp or even anywhere you have a group of people, those with similar characteristics will flock together. That's not discrimination, just a normal reaction. With time everyone gets to know others not similar to them, and eventually blend in together.
Can you give examples of discrimination in NYSC camp you noticed? Its very easy to throw such words around, but that may not really be the right description.

During the day of the protest, i said something, Benue Guys have wowed that they won't allow anyone rest again till this issue is looked into fully or Buhari comes to Benue. I don't like it when we Igbo denigrate our Yoruba brothers on this forum, and vice versa.
What Fajuyi did for Ironsi overrides whatever grudges we hold against them. Many Yoruba secured the property of Igbo and returned them even with rent collected. The Yoruba as a people never singled out Igbo for slaughter especially since after the war. Many Yoruba I know are decent, educated and business minded. We Igbo share a lot in common with them. Every tribe has it's low, Yoruba tribe like Igbo, give and take are clearly above average. It's a shame these two great races allow themselves to manipulated by lesser tribe up north; even playing Igbo against Yoruba successfully. It's time to throw away foolishness, embrace wisdom and work together for the common good of both and Nigeria in general.

You are right. For a riot to have a successful campaign in the north, it will be tied to religion. And some of the people who wreak havoc are usually imported from another state. Like in the case of kd and jos crisis. This is why it became convenient for media reportage to easily add the religion tag to some bunch of thugs who causes problem in the north. You can't blame us (southerners) for believing that these things are caused by religion fanatics since they always justify their action with religion.



Let me ask you some questions if you will be sincere enough to answer them.


How many occasions have you heard Christian youths killing an Imam that's preaching in the south?

Have you heard of Muslim youth killing a preacher in the north?

I'm not saying there is no killing in the south, I'm saying it is usually not attached to religion in the south. So you can't blame the press for adding the Muslim tag. I'm sorry.

See en, if we argue along this line, we will end up making it seem a normal thing. Truth is, when there is riot in the south, friends don't snitch on their friends. In facts, some people who don't know you will hide you to save you from lynching. This is not very common in the north though. I stand to be corrected, a northern easily snitch up on his friend than a southerner will do in time of crisis.
