Nairaland GeneralThe Mystery Of NAIRALANDERS And The Quest For Front Page. by isbish(op): 12:02pm On Oct 12, 2017
Hello guys. I have been a nairalander for more than 3 years. I must confess it's been a mixed feeling as per my experience with how we Nigerians react to issues here. The experience has been enlightening, educative, entertaining, annoying at times, most often funny, quit often tragic, very often tribalistic and also very often religious bigotry among members.

Overall, it's been more positive than negative being a nairalander because I rely on it to quickly get informed and also entertained basically from the kind of funny and hillarious response of people making comments.

I know for some or perhaps a lot of us on this forum, we have wondered why people often perceived by us to be adults type in some serious garbage and highly rediculouse response to some serious well written piece by great intellectuals who painstakingly take their time and do researches on crucial subject matters and write here on Nairaland, only to have people responding in trivial and terrible manners covered in all sorts of religious and ethnic bigotry. It's frustrating a times to read what some of these people type and you wonder if in real time situation they are that vile and disgusting or they are just hiding behind a keyboard devoid of any kind of guts to exhibit such kind of terrible attitude in real life situation.

One downside of me being a Nairalander is that as a result of the sheer number of bigotry going on here, it has affected some of us that are objective and open minded in nature. I must admit Nairaland has made me more subjective in thought more than ever before?

It is on this basis I thought to put up this piece just to ask this question....

...What is your actual reason of logging into Nairalander forum?
1. Is it to read news and get informed?
2. Are you on Nairaland to read Comments only?
3. To read comments and argue?
4. Is it to love seeing bad news against the government and join the bandwagon of those criticing and calling supporters of the gvt Zombies?
5. Is it to promote the government and criticise all those against it by calling them wailers?
6. Or is it just about loving to see IPOB and Biafra news to support or criticise it?
7. Or could it just be about coming in here to insult the North and never see anything good up North especially their religion?
8. Or could it be that all that matters to you is to put up good topics with good informative and educative content and amass enthusiasts and followers?
9. Could it be that you are just in here to wipe away that Bordome?
10. Or is it just about FRONT PAGE THINGS? grin

Just what is it that makes you wanna log into Nairaland?

As I conclude, I just want to ask this question again, which forms the second part of the reason why I am writing this and the last among the 10 questions I have asked above.

Please what is special about getting front page in terms of ur article making front page? And what is special about being first to comment?

Good bye guys.

CC: Lalasticlala
I wouldn't mind if this gets to front page though grin

PoliticsRe: NNPC Scandal: PENGASSAN, NUPENG Pledge Support for Baru (Photos) by isbish(m):
One thing I surely know about we Nigerians is that once a story comes up and its what we love, we believe it hook line and sinker...however, when it doesn't suit our narrative, we argue over it endlessly.

The crisis between Baru and Kachickwu has to do with ego between the two. When Kachickwu was the GMD and the State Min of Petroleum the first thing he did was to move Baru away to a position where he became irrelevant.

For some of you who have followed the story truthfully, you will know that Baru being the most senior then had hoped Buhari will make him the GMD but Buhari opted for Kachickwu an outsider instead and that affected Baru psychologically. As God will have it, Kachickwu usoped his power as GMD and state Min of petroleum by Raising memos as GMD and he could easily make PMB agree and sign without much eagle eyes Orr challenge.

Kachickwu had given so much contracts to his cronies and appointed into key positions his people to ease his runs but over time, it was clear that Buhari was silently allowing for the creation of another Diezieni and that was put to a halt by appointing Baru as GMD.

I don't have to explain how it would when you humiliate a person and suddenly he is back where he out to be.

Sadly to Kachickwu, KARMA is what has come to greet him.

I just love this Man. I feel proud to have you as my president just as many world leaders see you as a great man of repute. God bless PMB, God bless Osinbajo, God Bless me, God bless all the people that see you with good heart, and as for those that hate you so much, May God make them see good reasons why you are the president we all deserve. Finally, God bless Nigeria.

That's not true. Give people a reason to love you and they will.
The same Buhari that has chosen an Igbo man twice as a running mate for President . The same Buhari that Orji Uzor Kali himself said he is doing better to the south east compared to Jonathan who gave them nothing. You guys hate him for some premordial sentiment that's all. He has since moved on and won't tolerate you guys trying all u can to spoil his government. I believe he has the justification to make sure Ibops don't spoil his show while he runs it.

I don't think so. He has all his time with his mom. When I am relaxed with his mom, he smiles at us and comes quickly to separate us and be in the middle.

FamilyHELP! My 11 Month Boy Cant Bear To See Me Attached To My Wife by isbish(op): 9:45pm On Jul 07, 2017
Hello Parents and of course prospective couples and all prospective parents.

I have been having this experience of my lovely boy who can't bear to see me and his mum all cuddled up in peace. He begins to throw all sort of tantrums and even come as far as trying to separate us physically by pulling his mother's head away.

I understand children can be very jealous especially when they have younger siblings but in this case though not utterly shocking it is, my boy is so young and he is this jealous. Hmmmm!

What's your take everyone? Parents do u experience this?
