The critics of Buhari's Government avoiding defending those salient points made by the OP instead attacking him front right and center. Every of what the OP said is true. So who is the tyrant leader here? GEJ or PMB? The truth will always prevail over hypocracy and lies. Quite a shame no one can counter every point made by the OP. OP nice one. |

Politics › Re: 11 Failures In Osun State Under Governor Rauf Aregbesola by isbish(m): 6:54pm On Jul 04, 2016 |
This dude took his time to reply every point made by the OP. That's what we call good response to an argument. So concise and well explained. If I hadn't read that with an open and objective mind, I had reject all you have written but No...dude, you did justice to all those allegations. OP over to you. Respond if you do not agree inan objective manner. G1gbolahan: So every misinformed reader will easily be fooled by this piece and that is why I will take the time to address each issue raised;
1) Firstly, it is true that the governors does not have commissioners and the governor himself has explained why; It makes no sense to have a state where there are no funds to carry out governance as in Ondo and Ekiti but enough funds to pay commissioners who due to funds paucity, actually have nothing to do. The governor explained that he has not drawn salaries since last year, if he had commissioners he would not be able to keep their salaries away from them. So any body will prefer to have commissioners, how I see this, Ogbeni Aregbesola is making a sacrifice some other governors are not willing to make, for the state's finances.
2) As regards the local government elections, there is a subsisting court order against the elections and until that is set aside in the courts, Ogbeni will not ignore the courts and conduct elections. Especially when even states like Lagos that have no court injunctions have yet to conduct same elections.
3) On the jailing of students, while I do not have the complete facts on it, I know for certain that unless you are saying that there should no longer be retribution for doing wrong, there is no point to comment on there. And that some are reckless with Opon Imo as with every policy everywhere does not render the policy failed. Be guided.
4) On one hand, we complained of the dilapidated structures under which pupils were crammed into in Osun before Aregbesola. On the other hand, we complain when government finally demolishes those and move the students into world class structures? What exactly do we want? Has this writer seen the schools Osun is moving students to and the facilities? He has nothing to say about those? Let's also pretend this point was not made. Unless you're saying you prefer Osun children in those mud houses they were learning before.
5) You say the school uniform did not go down well with everybody. So I ask, how is the same now functioning without problem? The uniform was done to promote unity and remove the segregation that was already rising among students in schools of varying qualities. It is fully embraced today by all parties. Say another one.
6) As at today, I can confirm to you that no governor in the entire South West has commissioned as much projects as Aregbesola has this year. So where are the abandoned projects? One of the criticisms Ogbeni gets is that while workers are owed salaries, roads and other projects are being built. And Aregbesola has always retorted that workers represent only a percentage of his people and so salaries and developmental projects must move on at similar pače. Every week for the past few months if our writer was observant, Aregbesola has been inspecting sites particularly roads/bridges/schools with some commissioned and others with work ongoing. No one can say projects have been abandoned in Osun and expect me to take him serious. To be honest, that is a lie. 7) The Hijab crisis in the state is not the doing of Aregbesola as the governor has repeatedly stated but it is understandable that some people abhor the truth when it goes against their narrative. The crisis was a fallout of a court judgement secured by the muslim community and the CAN responding in an uncivil manner by inciting illegality in our schools. At that point, Aregbesola got involved to stop the campaign being promoted by CAN and since then, the issue has died down. So Ogbeni Aregbesola actually came in to douse the tension, he did not create it. But say what you like please.
You say there is nothing productive in the school feeding programme but World Bank recently appraised Osun for it, and Kaduna, Abia and the FG are following Osun's steps on the programme now. Do your research well, mister. 9) That a governor wishes so much development for a small state like Osun cannot be termed "misplaced priorities". Opon Imo has been a success in the state, the state has successfully built schools whose standard will now be copied nationwide, agriculture has become embraced locally and when the Federal Government supports with its part funding, Osun will have the first airport maintenance hub in the entire West Africa opening the state to serious business opportunites and opening the state's tourism potential. If that is what you call "misplaced priorities" compared to where Osun was coming from under the PDP, we are all for misplaced priorities in Osun please. Thank you.
10) Backlog of salaries is an issue not any governor is happy of. Yet President Muhammadu Buhari has said himself that with the current state of the economy, 27 out of 36 states can not afford salaries of workers, so do not make this problem sound peculiar to Osun. It is not not a problem for Osun alone and does not in any way arise from Aregbesola's management of the state. If at all, Aregbesola has managed the situation well by opening books to labour, thereby using transparency to win trust of labour and avoid strike action like we have in Ondo and Ekiti, where even the governor is on strike.
11) This rumour has been long proven to not be true. And the fact you said "reports in some quarters" also shows you are basing your "failures" on hearsay which is a journalistic failure.
I hope I have been able to correct the writer if he did not intentionally wish to malign Ogbeni Aregbesola but more importantly, I hope this addresses the readers who could have been misinformed by this pack of falsehoods. Let us strive to ask questions more and be more accurate in our writings for posterity will judge us. This desperation to soil Ogbeni's name is unwarranted and condemnable |

Anything to portray this government as bad, you guys will buy into it. Yes Dangote said he lost such amount to the new CBN Forex policy but never said Buhari's government is destroying business. Dangote benefits from naira pegging by CBN cos he has the monopoly of a lot of products in the Forex list. This new policy allows everyone to be active based on your finances and not government helping business men make money anyhow anymore. As dangote lost, some have gained. Demand and Supply of dollars henceforth will determine the cost of doing business.
Personally, I am not very happy with the policy, but the government is spending too much to save the Naira in the face of hard economic realities related to low oil boom. I just hope the demand and supply forces will work in our favour. its something similar to the subsidy removal. lets see how it goes. |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Are The Reasons Behind Seeing Bibles In The Hotels And No Quran. by isbish(m): 11:39am On Jun 30, 2016 |
As Muslims, we strongly hold the Qur'an in high esteem and holiness so much so that it is strongly encouraged to be purified especially via ablution before even carrying it. Islam forbids Qur'an being used, portrayed and even read in places that aren't suitable i.e. not holy or pure enough to be exhibited. Hotels are used by many different people and Hotels are especially known to harbour prostitutes. Qur'an can't and should bot be placed in Hotel rooms where men and women engage in fornication, adultery or even when people meet to discuss and do all kinds of evil. However, as a Muslim, you can go along with your Qur'an to the Hotel to read if you so desire, provided you won't be there to fornicate or do any bad and evil activities.
NB - People that need the Qur'an to read can always go the nearest Mosque to get one. Qur'an aren't found in Hotels even in the North because it is not encouraged. Qur'an is for Mankind not Muslims alone. It contains Allah's words in its purest form devoid of any Man's input. Even Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) doesn't have a single input in the Qur'an. Every verse of the Qur'an were revealed to Him i.e. the Prophet based on the condition of the time. If the Prophet was in dilemma, lost as to what to do in taking action or God wants a specific message passed to the people at, HE, God reveals it to the prophet and he in turn transmit or pass the message to mankind. This informs why Muslims call Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) the messenger of Allah. |

May God continue to guide you PMB. We are solidly behind you. God know why he keeps bringing u to us especially just after the nation is always at the brink of economic collapse. God never makes mistakes, He brought you to us cos HE knows you are what we need to move on as a nation and a people under the claws of Bad leaders of the last administration. By making Boko Haram alone less stronger and so incapacitated to launch attacks therby making people feel more safe from Boko Haram is a great one. What's life without security and to live in fear all the time?
As a people, we are safer today under you from BH, it will take people to ggo to North East to see how you are appreciated for bringing peace to them. Even we in Abuja are safer and as such, ride on sir. When peace is achieved and terror cleared, development albeit gradual but steady shall come. God bless PMB. I had rather buy rice for 14k and fuel for 145 and feel secure than to live in fear of being bombed by some terrorist while at the motor park like so many that lost their lives in the last administration. I feel more secured today under PMB from BH, that alone gives me peace and I know its time, things will be good, I see it, I feel it for God gave us PMB and God never makes a mistake. GOD bless u PMB...just ride on sir, we are solidly behind you. |

If these illiterates as you call them Harass you, I guess we all know who is who now in the scheme of things in Nigeria. wowmenow: The rate at which buhari wants to bring fayose down if he succeed their will be no opposition in Nigeria.
All those that can speak have been threatened by efcc even notorious activist like femi falana are all quiet
We are setting a very bad precedent we are making buhari to become a dictator without knowing
The kind of pressure Nigerians assist buhari and efcc to fight the so called corruption we can put such pressure on the economy we will not be where we are.
The only thing buhari have achieve in the last one year is to brainwashed Nigerians with the fight of corruption if fighting corruption is that important than the economy buhari should tell Nigerians how much he has realised in the last year from fighting corruption.
Buhari and his wife rants on Twitter when fayose accuse her of corruption but no comment on 40 people killed in Benue
Why I love the northerners See the rate the northerners protecting there own even ribadu from PDP also support his Fulani kinsmen
