yes that could be true....let us just keep hoping
The president elect said administration would restore military cooperation with the United States of America, could it be that officers will not sent to America ( stanhoxt) for training just like as it was been done before?

@ moving coil, since you graduated in Engineering, y don't u jst apply for Airforce or Navy DSSC. You will be picked 1 time cos they need such services there than the army. You will make the list with few efforts, remember, not every1 studied a professional course nt talk of Engineering. If I had engineerin, I would av applied for Navy.
I studied mechanical engineering, are u saying that chances of being shortlisted in navy or airforce is higher than that of army? ??

Can I apply without NYSC discharge certificate?
I don't think it's possible. ... that's one thing that guarantee the authenticity that you re a graduate.

@isidollarboy, as regards your referees, usually, you'ld be required to print out pages for your referees' attestation. They would sign (comment) and affix their passports.
N.B: Its not so easy getting refs to release their passports.

Concerning your letter of attestation, I'd humbly advice you apply and patiently wait for your name to be shortlisted before applying for your letter from your school. Letter of Attestation is only presented (physically) if you are privileged (and lucky enough) to make the first Shortlist. However, there's no harm getting the Letter ready if you are 'very sure' of making the list.

Bonnenuit!
well said!
Thanks. It's not really easy about the referees, I have met up every criteria but still battling with this issues of referee, the only hope I have is my local government chairman, which may not even agree to afix his passport. .. I pray God help me......

On the issue of WAEC, will they accept computer print out when filling out the form or it has to be the original copy from WAEC.

Thanks!!!! am grateful for all your reply. .

This is the best thread I have enjoyed on Nairaland.
Please I still need to be cleared from people who had the experience or have earlier applied, on the issue of referee, Are we to collect recommendation letter from them or there is a place for them to sign on the form before submitting it.

Secondly, is good to go my school now and ask for attestation letter now or I have to wait till the form comes out.

Must the "o" level (WAEC) , be the original result (copy) or print out could used in filling out the form.

Thanks to everyone on you who has been feeding us with great info.

during d interview I heard one of the tests there is to run, how much distance are we to run and in how much time and also which kind of exercises is one suppose to engage in to have stamina and endurance, personally if I train well I have the physique and extremely flexible but I need extra work to get dat endurance not to gas out easily. am a little on d big side (80kg) cos I have been living sedentary life for some time now but am determined even if it is to die during d physical tests, no p.
nice question.

You are very funny, unfortunately the army is not abt big chest any longer. It's about brain work, its abt technical ability, its about solving problems using dynamic reasoning.. Its abt endurance to unfriendly situation.

U ll so shocked to see tiny pple charging through obstacle while it ll be a barrier for big cheast pple.

There is no exams to be written before been shortlisted. After application next thing is name of successful candidates will be published online and invited for screening which include medical test, physical test, exams and finally interview with the board. After which successful candidates will be published in the newspapers and training starts

Certainly u need 2referals its not compulsory its a military officer, it may be ur LG chairman and a judge.

www.nigerianarmyms.org This the website not NDA site
thanks for this handy info....must the judge hail from your origin.

what are the likely things u will see in exam and interview? . I want to start my preparation because I believe am there already. once again, thanks for your response.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by isidollarboy(m): 5:09pm On Apr 15, 2015
Thanks for your response/answer. I have few questions to ask.
1. Please can you / anyone refer or post a link of DSSC former thread ,to see if there's any helpful info/tips I can get from there.
2. Before the shortlisting of names, is there any exam the applicant writes? . If yes which areas/scope will someone should expect.
3. Like what's are the general trainings one will come across there.
4. I checked the entry requirements from NDA websites and they said "applicant will be recommended by at least 2 referee. LGA chairman/officer. Is it both of them or one because they said at least 2. Thanks as await answers.
