I got one last week for 80k, it was a pavilion 15 amd A10 with dual graphics 3gb dedicated very cool, tested battlefield 4 and GTA v on it and they both played very smoothly. So that's my own opinion

Education / Re: The Vice Chancellor Of Mouau In EFCC Net Over 300 Million Scam by islops(m): 9:08pm On Jul 24, 2015
ASUU MOUAU Pass vote of confidence on VC; Prof. Hilary Odo Edeoga
The Academic Staff Union of University, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike chapter has vindicated professor Edeoga on the allegations leveled against him. The Union in a three page article published on Eastern Reckoner newspaper on Monday 20th July dismissed the allegation as a product of mischief makers who are pursuing personal interest rather than promoting the interest of the union. The union made it clear that Prof Edeoga has worked beyond imagination within four years of stay in the office thereby calling on anyone who is in doubt to visit the university to verify the tenacity of its claim.
According to the ASUU members, Prof Edeoga has never admitted students beyond the capacity of infrastructure adding that the issue of the hostel fees has been addressed as those oversubscribed has the option of being refunded their money or carry it over to the next academic session as NDDC hostel has been completed and handed over to the university management.
The concerned members of ASUU was baffled that instead of applauding the Vice Chancellor on his numerous achievements, he was maligned even as he is not owing salaries nor have union gone on strike as a result of low staff and student welfare.
ASUU passed vote of confidence on the VC as they describe him as a detribalized Nigerian and a great achiever who is contributing in great measures in repositioning education in Nigeria.

I don’t Know Road to EFCC; Prof Hilary Edeoga

The vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Prof Hilary Edeoga was never in EFCC. “I was in my office that same day I got calls from people that they read on internet that I was in EFCC net. I laughed and told them but am here in my office talking to you”.
On July 9,2015 some faceless individuals posted on the internet that the Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University Of agriculture Umudike Prof Hilary Edeoga was arrested by EFCC.
It may interest you to know that some mischief makers who don’t like progress and desperately seeking recognition in the University are the people going about deceiving people with false information. The crime the Vice Chancellor has committed is not allowing them extort, bully and harass students whom he is putting all efforts grooming to become leaders of tomorrow by providing a conducive environment for learning.
There is a popular saying that “you can deceive some of the people some of the time, but you cannot deceive all the people all the time” The good works of Prof Hilary Edeoga speaks for him. This giant strides achieved by Prof Edeoga within a short period of stay in office is immeasurable.
The Vice Chancellor therefore calls on the University community to join hands in the developmental progress going on in the University by staying resolute and focused and shun these mischief makers who want to distract and interrupt our dear fast developing citadel of learning.

I am beginning to think that benchmarks may not be as accurate or reliable as we think also, system requirements can be bogus sometimes. So I just started playing bioshock infininte yesterday (previously ran it on my windows 7 partition but couldn't play it as I couldn't get it to detect my nvidia card) and I was getting 40FPS above on ultra, this is a game that was benchmarked at 29.3FPS on GPUboss and a few other sites, today I bought a cooling pad and I am getting up to 90FPS in the same game so essentially I am getting even better perfomance than if I had a 780M. I honestly don't know why the GPU is performing so well compared to the norm but who am I to say I don't love it.
Below are my fraps benchmarks for the game running everything on and on ultra. Also, in the third one where the min rate is 8, that happened when the loading circle started spinning,

Oh, I just realized that it is past 4 so I started playing the game the day before yesterday.

Yeah I guess what your saying is correct cos I've seen so many and even played a lot too that claimed to have high benchmark but runs on a lot of low end systems.

I love that bioshcok too cool game

Exactly wat i've been saying. The game looks like glorified GTA V. I ll just stick with my BF4 till d nxt BF. The multiplayer doesn't even look as interesting as BF4's. But dat dont mean if i play it i wont like it but it just doesn't look like a game i'll be willing to spend my money on

i tell you

Tried searching for a capable powersupply in olx nigeria and I cudn't find any. How much more a capable gpu.

you said it bro... nigeria has a problem especially when it come to IT stuff, the other day i checked for a HDMI spliter on konga for N8000, that same day i found the same HDMI splitter on ebay for just $4 (N800) and with free shipping, the same thing o, i advice guys if you can wait a couple of weeks just buy your stuff from ebay you wont regret it.

Usaid we re getting there. How exactly re we getting there? Dont get me wrong tho. I'm as optimistic as u re
True. Trust SA to find a solution. As for those who enjoy playing at 10 fps, well we can only hope they see the error of ways.

first of all the awareness is there that there are great games on PC, second, the awareness is there that to play these games you need a high end PC.
My PC Specs... HP Envy 17, Core i7 4th Gen, 2TB HDD, 12GB Ram, Nvidia GT 850 2GB Dedicated, and i use an Xbox one Controller, and i know guys who have something like this, before this one i used a HP pavilion G6 so the diff is very clear, i know what was up in choosing another PC so.. its got to start from somewhere why not you and i?

Forget! As far as PC games is concerned Nigeria isn't gettin on any map. The whole Africa sef isn't going anywhere. Africa represented by SA were not allowed to compete in the recent COD: AW world tournament for reasons best known to Activision & square Enix. They dont even have dedicated servers for online multiplayer in Africa. My point is Africa not just Nigeria ll always be at the bottom of the gaming ladder.

what you saying is true but i refuse to still be on the level where we will be set aside as just another continent and if we don't begin to make noise we will never be recognized, you know how much the south Africans fought before they got IGNAfrica and Origin South Africa, we are getting there and we will get there, but you need to change your ideology for that to happen

Health / Re: Salt Therapy For Ebola- Dangerous Rumour by islops(m): 9:41am On Aug 08, 2014
I received this from a Colleague of mine with AIT......

It is a shame that despite the recent UNESCO data on improved Nigeria's literacy level and d country's ranking in d telecomm and tech market, a greater population of Nigerians have remain brain drained with their big blackberry, androids, tablets, and even computers in their hands. Nigerians still scramble in their sleep over scare of Ebola virus, and the annoying part of all is d fact that many people till tomorrow will nt google ds Ebola virus on dia phones and tomorrow night another cycle of foolishness will repeat again. I wonder what CNN will make of ds on news today. For the record: EBOLA virus is not airborne, so you cannot inhaled it. It is only transmitted via body fluid that's why handshakes and hugs may serve as means of transmission. The funny part is that the virus cannot be transmitted to you from a non symptomatic carrier i.e someone who has been tested positive but Hav no symptoms yet. Most of west African deaths recorded were frm those who contract Ebola frm funerals of Ebola victims; dos who contact wt the dead bodies and the hospital staff who contact d virus frm handling the infected victims. To prevent Ebola just -Drink ORS or ORT wash ur hands with soap not SALT. No bush meat or surya. Disinfect ur surrounding. Fumigate if u Hv pets. DONT touch dead bodies. Educate people. Stay alive Nigeria!
