Paying more tax to a government that is not accountable to its citizens, is akin to pouring water into a basket.

The shallow and hollow argument some people make sometimes is to compare taxes being paid in developed countries and say the same must be paid here, without putting things in proper context.
They are not even able to demand accountability from those who collect and embezzles the taxes and public funds. Sometimes, they even support the looters.

Developed countries provide jobs to their graduates and qualified citizens. They provide unemployment benefits, housing and accommodation., They take good care of the aged, elderly and sick ones.
Their president and politicians live a modest lifestyle, and some even use public transport to go to work on daily basis.

Over here, graduates roam the streets for 5 years without a job, no unemployment benefits, no govt housing or accommodation, your parents are old and sick with no govt support. The politicians are living an ostentatious lifestyles. An illiterate Councilor or LG chairman is earning more than medical doctors , lecturers and professors. You provide accommodation, water, electricity, neighbourhood security, roads etc. by yourself. The additional responsibilities and services that you provide is more than 35% additional tax to the govt.

I no longer see branch network as a strategic advantage, some of the big banks would have closed some of their branches if not for insistence of CBN. Banking has gone beyond brick and mortar structures.

Cardinal stone is on another level, no womder theyvare gradually becoming the biggest in the industry. Opened an account with them 4 months ago, fast and efficient platform with self service funding. Mails are responded to within hours. Pleasantly surprised, their commision is premium though. Note i still have accounts with morgan and StanbicIBTC, however Cardinalbstine trumps them in service.

CardinalStone is the best I've used so far in terms of live trading, online/self funding and withdrawal. Although online fund withdrawal limit is capped at 1m. Note that I use both Morgan and CardinalStone

Just opened an account with CardinalStone recently. My experience so far. Account funding is self service and near instant, they respond very fast to mails, they charge a VAT exclusive 1% brokerage fees, the platform is quite fast, Not tried withdrawals , so can't provide an opinion on that.

Note i currently have accounts with Morgan and StanbicIBTC.

I am yet to fill out the new e-mandate form. This is because it was stated in the form that it must be validated by my banker. But, I have this phobia for going to the bank. Why don't you fill the online dividend mandate portal on SECs site. After filling and submitting the forn you will get a reference code for tracking, save or screenshot it. Send the reference code to your banks account officer and they will validate. Have found this to be much faster.

Using 20m in mutual funds at 20% interest rate given 4m per annum as profit as an example.
It means you will have to take a loan that both the yearly interest and one third of the principal can be paid yearly, total payable in 3 years.
Which means you can take a 7m loan and invest in stock payable in 3 years without external cash been used to clear the debt.
1st year, you pay 2.1m interest and 1.9m principal, balance 5.1m.
2nd year, you pay 1.5m interest, 2.5m principal, balance 2.6m
3rd year you clear the loan with roughly 500k cash balance.
Which brings us to the next question - inflation and devaluation in 3 years so as not to render your initial capital useless at the long run.....

I also use copilot when have exceeded my Claudia daily limits but in all, I prefer Claudia.
I learnt 2 things from you on this thread that has really helped me.
1. Is using of Claudia to solve questions that I find difficult to answer.
2. Taking loans in such a way it is self-payable in 3 years using annuity system.
I also learnt to take cash backed loan using brokers to raise capital for use from emmanualewumi.
