Pls is it possible to setup active directory with mikrotik linux server. I mean the MT will be the DHCP, domain server and the DNS. Can I also block some site like facebook with MT ?? Pls help

Ofcourse, you can setup Mikrotik for DHCP and DNS Server to act as a router and name resolving and as a tranparent proxy client for network. It has a whole lot of features like QoS (Bandwidth management, Firewall Packet Filtering (Which you use to grant/deny access, restrict or block applications, sites, ports MAC addresses, IP or Range of IPs.

It can also be used as a Hotspot Server for WiFi Networks or can even act as a Bridge between 2 networks and many more other features.

Here is a piece of Information I would like to share with fellow Nigerians and Nairalanders:

From May 2006 to March 2008, The Nigerian Stock Exchange has maintained a bullish (upward) momemtum.

From an All Share Index Low of 23,154.13 in April 19th 2006 to an All Share Index High of 66,371.2 in March 5th 2008.

In this Technical Analysis, we are going to use a popular market tool call Fibonacci numbers

Fibonacci numbers were developed by Leonardo Fibonacci, a mathematician who was born in Pisa, Italy around 1172 and are a series of numbers in which each successive number is the sum of the two previous numbers: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, etc.

This tool is very effective to measure market movement from a current LOW (0%) to a current HIGH (100%)

It is also used to measure market Retracements where by the Key Market Retracement Levels or Supports are 61.8% and 50% points

And lastly, it is used to measure market projections whereby the key Projection Levels or Resistance are 100% and 161.8% points.

Using our NSE as the instrument in this regard; (Please Find Attached Chart for Clarification)

NSE Low or Support in April 19th 2006 is 23,154.13 = 0% Fibo Level

NSE High or Resistance in March 5th 2008 is 66,371.2 = 100% Fibo Level

The Market made a Reversal and Retraced down to 43.199 Index on 26th August 2008, then made a sharp bullish reversal and consolidating at 49263.87 Index as at Today 10th Sept 2008.

Analysis:

* The market Movement from 2006 to March 2008 is a market Uptrend movement due to Good Fundamentals and Good Economic Data


* The market Movement from March 2008 to August 2008 is a market Retracement due to Over-Bought Conditions which is normal in any equity market


* The Sharp Reversal at 43,199.4 = 50% Fibo Level on August 26th 2008 Confirms that the whole downtrend movement is a mere Retracement


* Market Price stability since on the 1st Sept 2008 Indicates Market Consolidation between BULLS and BEARS (BUYERS and SELLERS)

Pls, does anyone still have more elaborate info on this; as I am still in the same dilemma to know the particular (Auto Gear) to select. My ride has D, D4, D3 and D2.

The only thing I noticed is that the D4 is best for high way driving but for Inside street driving and hold up, I just seem don't know the exact one to use between D, D3 and D2 as I notice each of these Transmission selections have effect on the fuel consumption if you know the right one to use at a particular time.
