Multi-Billionaire businessman, Arthur Eze has dismissed the controversy trailing the presidential pardon granted former governor of Bayelsa state, Dipreye Alamieyeseigha and others saying it was God that directed president Jonathan to grant the pardon.

Speaking with state House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Chief Eze said criticisms against the pardon was misplaced.

“What Jonathan did is what a man who fears God will do. If I have an opportunity as president of Nigeria I will do the same. All of us are human beings. What he did was correct. We are not fighting war. Jonathan took advice from God. God has told him to show mercy. The bible says blessed are those that are merciful for they shall see God” he said.

He said the American government has no right to dictate to Nigeria because Nigeria is an independent nation.

Speaking on his donation of over N1billion to a church in the president’s Village, Chief Arthur Eze said those criticising him over the donation are criticising God.

“God gave me the money to contribute to the church. The money is not meant for Jonathan to put in his pocket. We are thinking of thanking God for what he has done for Otuoke. It was abandoned for many years.

They had no water, no electricity until when God brought Jonathan to change that place. Let the people have a place to worship God. Those criticizing me are confused people” he said.

Dr. Ben Carson — who during his speech at this year's National Prayer Breakfast criticized some of President Obama's economic policies — hinted Saturday that he might be interested in a 2016 presidential

run.

Speaking at the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference, Carson resumed his sharp critique of Washington and the rest of the United States, which included his vision on how to fix the country's problems.

"Let's say you magically put me in the White House," Carson, a Johns Hopkins pediatric neurosurgeon, said to a loud applause.

The remark was a bit unexpected, considering Carson has said his prayer breakfast speech — critical of higher taxes and Obama's new health-care law — was to "serve God" and was not political.

However, Carson has since become so popular among conservatives that his name is on the ballot for CPAC's straw poll for a 2016 presidential candidate.

The 62-year-old Carson, whose prayer breakfast remarks were within earshot of Obama, said Saturday he is retiring from surgery within roughly the next three to four months. He said his immediate focus will be on "educating the next generation," then "once we get that taken care of who knows."

Carson, raised in poverty, returned to his concerns including the decline of education in America, Washington overspending and the importance of God in American life.

"We continue to spend ourselves into oblivion," said Carson, adding the country's younger generations have become "uniformed" and "ignorant."

So in a way, giving Tuface a lousy 6.5 million Naira vehicle and spend another 20 million to send some Akwa Ibomites to Dubai isn't really over the Top.

Fortunately, I have been to Uyo and can testify that the Governor has really put in work. If anything, he has moved that state at least 10 years forward from where they used to be. If giving Tuface a car gift is his worst offence, I will pardon him.

I don't support unwanton wastage of Public funds, but if we must condemn, let's bring in all the wastage we see around us as well into focus.
