A sound doctrine does not deny trials and persecution but, encourage the believer to pray when we notice them. For through them, most times, God is working on our behalf. Right from the Old Testament into the New Testament we never read where God asked us or the disciples to fight these seeming injustices and social mishap with bows and arrows. For how long did the Hebrew suffer oppression in the hands of the Egyptians? 250 years does that mean God was not aware? Not at all .But God will always make things beautiful in his time. Our suffering in any form in the hands of man is seen by God as long as we are believers. No oppression or maltreatment goes unnoticed by Him. For one to get answers to prayers, it behooves us to know who God is. See 1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If our prayers have nothing to do with the will of God in our lives, he can not answer such prayers. Let us read the example of Jesus, our lord in the garden; Matthew 26:42, He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Be wise. God has a will for your life. Find out that will. Another aspect is unconfessed sins. We read above that in God there is no darkness at all that means no iota of sin and therefore, can not strand not condone sin. If we have sin in the place of prayers to God, he turns away. See Psalms 5:5, The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Psalms 38:18, For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
