I'm overweight and I consume lots of added sugar. A co-worker of mine cut sugar, white flour, and chocolate as a possible remedy for severe anxiety. She dropped weight like crazy over a year (which helped her mentally as well - she was overweight when she started) and actually got to the point where she was able to enter some amateur fitness competitions! (Hardcore fitness/bodybuilding competitions require severe temporary diets that need to be supervised by an experienced nutritionist and a doctor, so I don’t recommend that to anyone unless you really want to do it.) Remember there’s a lot of carb and sugar in many packaged foods you don’t realize, so learn how to read labels if you do this. “For all the productivity and success advice I’ve read, shaped and marketed for dozens of authors in the last decade, I’ve never really seen someone come out and say: find yourself a spouse who complements and supports you and makes you better.” - Ryan Holiday When it comes to success, we live in a very individualized culture that likes to emphasize the importance of being independent and self-reliant. These beliefs are especially very common within relationships. You grow up hearing all the time that you’re in charge of your future, that you shouldn’t depend on other people, and that you’re in charge of your happiness. If you depend on your partner, then you’re told you’re needy and that you should learn to develop yourself to be a more independent person. However, in the book “Attached,” researchers Amir Levine and Rachel Heller talk about how this way of thinking in relationships is wrong, and from a biological perspective, false. They point out that “numerous studies show that once we become attached to someone, the two of us form one physiological unit.” This means that when my partner feels sad, I feel sad. When my partner is happy, I’m happy. My partner regulates my blood pressure, heart rate, and hormones. So when she reacts, I react as well, and I won’t be able to control it. We become a unit, and as a result, I will do anything to protect her and make sure she’s alright. Therefore, “Dependency is a fact. It is not a choice or a preference,” as Levine and Heller say. Now we can try to overcome this, but Matt Lieberman, who is a professor at UCLA, says to forget it. He says your brain is hardwired to connect, and because of that, you’ll never be able to fully overcome this. Levine and Heller say, "The need for someone to share our lives with is part of our genetic makeup and has nothing to do with how much we love ourselves or how fulfilled we feel on our own. Once we choose someone special, powerful and often uncontrollable forces come into play. New patterns of behavior kick in regardless of how independent we are and despite our conscious wills." Does this mean that in order to be happy in our relationships, we have to give up other aspects of our lives, such as the pursuit of our goals? No it doesn’t. It turns out that our ability to take risks, to step out into the world on our own, and to be confident enough to pursue our goals actually comes from the knowledge that there is someone by us whom we can depend on. This is known as The Dependency Paradox. In other words, the more effectively dependent people are on one another, the more independent and daring they become. The people who believe they don’t want to be in a relationship because they don’t want to be “tied down” in the pursuit of their goals have bought into the lie that love is somehow an obstacle to success, when in fact, it’s the catalyst. In his book “Think and Grow Rich,” Napoleon Hill, who spent 25 years studying the causes of success and failure, says that in every person he studied, a woman was always the motive for a man’s achievements. Hence the saying, “Behind every great man there is an equal or greater woman.” This is the power of The Dependency Paradox. It shouldn’t be surprising then that the average millionaire gets married early, many of whom got married before they were successful. These findings by Thomas Stanley suggest that if you want to be successful in life, you should find someone who complements you and who you can depend on. Whether it’s a seminar, a conference, a book, or a personal development course, nothing will ever be as good for your success and personal growth than finding the person you’re going to marry. Studies consistently show that married individuals live longer, they maintain better health, and they’re happier. Married individuals also do better financially than single individuals. Research has found that even after controlling for age, education and other demographics, married people make 10 to 50 percent more than single people. And it’s not because financially successful people get married, but because a healthy marriage between two people who complement each other naturally leads to financial success (Linda Waite and Maggie Gallagher 2000). Why? Because being with someone who supports you naturally makes you a better person. They challenge you, they show you what you need to work on, and they push you farther than you could’ve ever pushed yourself. If you want to achieve success in life, learn to get rid of this false idea that you must be completely independent from your partner, and instead, let’s take Levine and Heller’s advice: “If you want to take the road to independence and happiness, find the right person you can depend on and travel down that road with that person.” Connect Deeper If you resonated with this article then please subscribe to my personal blog where I talk about the best ideas from the books I read. 7 Phrases You've Been Misquoting That doesn't mean what you think it means. It's an ancient tradition - words of wisdom passed down in short phrases from one generation to the next. The problem with this is that sometimes, things get switched around and the original meaning is lost. We often misquote famous phrases without even knowing it. In fact, do you know that the most famous misquote is from "Apollo 13"? Thankfully, we have the internet; where there is always someone there to fact check you. These phrases look a little different when you get to see the whole picture. 1. Blood is thicker than water. The full saying is actually “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Basically, it means exactly the opposite of what most people think. It refers to the idea that the bonds you choose to make can mean much more to you than the ones you were born into and don’t have much of a say in. 2. Curiosity killed the cat. This phrase continues: “but satisfaction brought it back.” This makes sense, considering the whole idea that cats get nine lives. I often heard the first half when I was little and asking too many questions, but the full phrase suggest that there is no such thing as too many questions. 3. A jack of all trades is a master of none. This saying got cut short as well and originally said “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” Unlike what our version would lead you to believe, having multiple interests but not being an expert in anything could actually prove advantageous. 4. Great minds think alike. “Small minds rarely differ” is the following line to this once reassuring quote. I would advise you try not to think about that too much the next time you and your classmates are on a roll with your group project, sometimes phrases get cut short for good reason. 5. Money is the root of all evil. Again, the original version is a little longer. This biblical phrase originally reads “The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil.” There’s a difference in making more money than you could possibly spend and keeping it. 6. My country, right or wrong. This is often used to justify supporting bad wars, the original actually says “My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong to be set right.” This puts the responsibility on the citizen to make sure their country is a good one, not the other way around. 7. Starve a cold, feed a fever. I’ve only heard this a couple times and it could have multiple meanings just by reading it differently. Not only is it terrible advice, it’s poorly quoted. The original states “if you starve a cold, you’ll have to feed a fever.” Now, that’s advice I can take to heart. NB: I’m not a politician and I don’t belong to any political party. I’m politically neutral…. However, I want to say this as a matter of reality. Akinwunmi Ambode is working – honestly. We know. People know. His enemies know. The reality is: He will win the gubernatorial elections 2019 – hands down. Anyone who contests against him will simply waste his money. Any party that contests against APC in Lagos State would simply waste their resources and might be driven further into penury. APC may lose in Ogun State. They may lose in Osun State. They may lose in Oyo State. They may lose somewhere else, but not in Lagos. Not in the next few years. I say this with certainties. Do not waste your money contesting against Ambode. Money is hard to come by. If you have money to throw about, you can look for other rational and profitable uses for your money, for your sake and for the sake of your family. Although some candidates would want to test their own popularity. Let me tell you your fate: You will fail ignominiously. You would regret wasting your money, energy, precious time, life, resources and blood. Any bank that lends monies to candidates and parties contesting against Ambode, is indeed burning customers and investors’ funds. And they would pay a heavy price for that. I rest my case. Nepal was one of the cheapest places in the world to travel. For 100 rupees ($1) , you can get a full meal, a bus ticket, a pot of ginger tea, a short tuk-tuk ride, and much more. Nepal already had some of the cheapest accommodation in the world, with sub-$5 cheap guesthouses that have solar hot water and nice hotels with maid service and breakfast for under $20. When you search hotels in Kathmandu for a night there were double rooms for under $10, the 3-star Chillout Resort for $13 double including breakfast, and you had to go six pages deep before crossing the $50 a night mark. There are only a few hotels where you can pay more than $150 a night in the capital in high season: the Yak & Yeti, Radisson, Hyatt, and Crowne Plaza—where spending that much gets you on the executive floor. In the countryside, spend $40 a night and you’re probably in the best hotel in town. If you’re going trekking, you’ll have to lay out some money for permits and if you hire a porter you’re looking at $10-$20 per day including his expenses. But you can do without one if you’re fit (no need to bring a tent) and on the trails, tea house lodges and meals are very cheap. In Nepal, you are going to have a wonderful experience for classic Asian culture and tropical nature. Trekking in the undeveloped countryside, you will be able to enjoy the organic and beautiful Asian heritage. Head to Bhaktapur in the Kathmandu valley, and you do not want to miss other sacred Hindu/Buddhism temples, like famous Pashupatinath, Budhanilkantha, Manakamana. For many backpackers, even one month is not enough for them to soak in the peaceful aurora. More than 50,000 visitors per month are arrived in such a gorgeous country and is actually worth spending weeks or months in NEPAL. I first saw the 16 year old girl in the ER late on a Friday night. She had been tossed from the back of a pickup as it rolled off the side of a rural road just an hour or so earlier. As she lay there on the ER gurney, she actually looked pretty good despite her somewhat low blood pressure. She was frightened. We were about to take her to the OR for emergency abdominal exploration because there was blood in her abdomen. I explained how I would be taking care of her. Making sure she was asleep and how un-scary the process was. I explained that she would almost certainly do well because she was so young and healthy. I am always careful to avoid any promises such as; “everything is going to be fine”. But I do promise that I will take excellent care of each patient. During the surgery, two excellent surgeons were working diligently to find the source of significant bleeding. We had a “cell saver” in operation which was reprocessing the suctioned blood so that we could give it back to her. I had an anesthesia nurse in the OR with me. We both worked hard and fast to keep up with the blood loss. We kept her blood pressure just high enough to maintain good organ perfusion but low enough to minimize bleeding. The primary surgeon looked up at me and said: “You're going to have to stop.” “What!?”, I said. He explained: “Her hepatic vein is torn off of her IVC. It is not repairable.” I drew the mental picture of the anatomy that he just described. I understood that a very short but fat vein behind the liver attached directly to the vena cava, one of largest veins in the body. It was simply not accessible behind the liver. He continued: “You are going to have to stop transfusing her. There is nothing we can do.” I was stunned. This would not be my first patient to die in the OR from some unmanageable condition. But this was the first (and so far only) time that I had to actively stop supporting life in a person who was very much alive. I (mentally) looked for a way out of this terrible situation. “Is there really nothing we can do?”, I asked the surgeon. The surgeon was a highly respected surgeon with much more experience than I had at that time. His was the final word. We watched as her blood pressure dwindled and her skin turned pale. Shortly thereafter her heart slowed and stopped. A young girl whom I had been chatting with just a few hours earlier lay dead in front of me. At my hands. Epilogue … A decade later I told this story to a now more recently trained trauma surgeon. He explained that these days, she would likely have lived. This is a well known type of traumatic injury that can be managed differently with some success. My master invested in Bitcoin online without telling me. He got a small return, and then put more and more money. The website has gone offline since, and the “more” money he pumped into it has been lost. There’s no-one to call. A lady in our church invested in Bitcoin. She got some money initially and invested more money. Till now, she’s yet to get anything back. An online friend sent hundreds of dollars to invest in Bitcoin and he later found out that he sent money to scammers. Internet criminals cannot be traced. Who make money from Bitcoin investments? Answer: Scammer and organizers of Ponzi scheme using Bitcoin profits to lure people. Exchangers who buy low and sell high also make money. What about Bitcoin mining? Bitcoin mining involves validating transactions and providing security for the public ledger, known as the blockchain. This process requires extremely powerful and expensive computer equipment. The mining scams typically involve orders for equipment that are paid for in advance and never delivered. Even when if it’s delivered, you discover that the mining equipment is rubbish. If it’s easy to mine Bitcoin and make money, everyone would be doing it. Aren’t there legitimate ways to make money from Bitcoin? Answer: There are only two ways I know where you can make money from Bitcoin. You can buy Bitcoin and hold it forever, hoping to make money only if price of Bitcoin goes upwards. If price declines, you lose money. If Bitcoin disappears, your money disappears. Period. You can also make money through Bitcoin by actively trading it. You can speculate on the direction of the market – whether up or down. You can make money or lose money by doing that. There are some money managers who are also investing in Bitcoin or trading it; and they can do that in your behalf. But note that you can lose part of, or all your money. Contrary to what some money managers may tell you, there are no guarantees in speculation. Anything else? The only two ways to make money from Bitcoin have been mentioned above. Any other things pertaining to Bitcoin investments are scam. Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |
You keep checking your phone every 5-10 minutes for no reason. Maybe expecting a message or a missed call even though you haven't lost sight of it for a second. -You go through all the useless FB updates, scrolling down and reading everyone's post/status. At times looking at someone's post and cursing yourself for being so unproductive. -Keep opening random tabs to just find anything interesting. Anything that can prevent you from doing some actual work. When you spend your entire day thinking about how you could have utilized yesterday better or how you can manage your work better tomorrow instead of actually doing it today. Yes, Laying eggs can be painful for a chicken. Based on my hens behaviors, I am guessing this. My evidence: When my hens laid eggs for the first times they squawked up a storm just as they would if upset by something. The first eggs laid are small. After laying more eggs, a hen seems to become accustomed to laying and rarely squawk, but sometimes will. Eggs sizes do vary widely and sometimes double yolked eggs are huge! Brian Fey's answer to Can double yolked eggs be incubated as successfully as single yolked eggs? I interpret this to mean that the first time there is some discomfort beyond "Whoa! An egg came out of me!" I suspect physical pain. It makes sense since other animals also experience pain when giving birth. Holes have nerves generally. Is that proof that a chicken feels pain when laying an egg? Nah, but it seems likely given the circumstances. A better test: I guess there could be a way to measure brain activity when a chicken is in pain and then compare that with when they are laying an egg. Several reason: 1) It’s illegal. This is a BIG one, because some people would definitely farm elephants for their tusks (and meat would just be a bonus) if it were not illegal. Unfortunately, this law may result in the extinction of wild elephants due to poaching. 2) Elephants take as long to reach breeding age as WE DO. Females can’t reproduce until they’re 14 years old. They live almost as long as we do, too. Elephant gestation is a jaw-dropping 22 MONTHS. They only have a calf - typically just one - once every 5 years. 3) Elephants eat a lot. I mean, A LOT. They’re not efficient at processing their food. 4) They’re self-aware. This is something that many people do find bothersome. When the animal you’re considering eating knows that it exists and has an inner life - consciousness - many people question whether it’s ethical to eat it. What is the most passionate poem? Warning: Does have some adult content. "Like This" by Rumi If anyone asks you how the perfect satisfaction of all our sexual wanting will look, lift your face and say, Like this. When someone mentions the gracefulness of the nightsky, climb up on the roof and dance and say, Like this. If anyone wants to know what "spirit" is, or what "God’s fragrance" means, lean your head toward him or her. Keep your face there close. Like this. When someone quotes the old poetic image about clouds gradually uncovering the moon, slowly loosen knot by knot the strings of your robe. Like this. If anyone wonders how Jesus raised the dead, don’t try to explain the miracle. Kiss me on the lips. Like this. Like this. When someone asks what it means to "die for love," point here. If someone asks how tall I am, frown and measure with your fingers the space between the creases on your forehead. This tall. The soul sometimes leaves the body, the returns. When someone doesn’t believe that, walk back into my house. Like this. When lovers moan, they’re telling our story. Like this. I am a sky where spirits live. Stare into this deepening blue, while the breeze says a secret. Like this. When someone asks what there is to do, light the candle in his hand. Like this. How did Joseph’s scent come to Jacob? Huuuuu. How did Jacob’s sight return? Huuuu. A little wind cleans the eyes. Like this. When Shams comes back from Tabriz, he’ll put just his head around the edge of the door to surprise us. I don’t know about “should” but mine certainly did… and they still do every night. ![]() I’m not gonna lie, there have been times when I wondered if letting them sleep with me was the best decision. They have woken me up in the middle of the night to bark at a racoon outside, when all I can think of is “who cares?” but… the truth is that waking up to those cute faces every single morning is the best feeling in the world and I wouldn’t really trade it for anything. Their innocence and unconditional love is absolutely priceless and a gift to have around. My dogs are clean and smell super sweet… somehow I love their little scents in the morning, too. Very soothing.I may be making stuff up, but they say perception is reality so… in my reality, my dogs love sleeping in my bed, too. It warms my heart to do nice things for them, and keeping them safe with me all night is a blessing. It makes me feel good inside. I can’t describe it. I guess that’s what being a pack means: putting each other at peace. The crate that I bought when my oldest was still a puppy sits in a corner in the TV room. The door is always open and a blanket always sits on top of it to make it like a little cave, but… I have never closed the door on them. They come and go as they please but don’t go there very often. Maybe for a quick nap in the afternoon or while we watch TV. They know the routine of when I’m getting ready for bed, and they seem to get ready, too. Although both of them can jump on the bed, at bed time they ask to be picked up (because they are sleepy?) and I think it’s the cutest thing.^This pic is the only one I have on this laptop but… waking up to something like this is heaven on earth. ![]() Source: https://www.quora.com/Should-a-new-puppy-sleep-with-you-in-a-bed Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |
Easy. Deep Springs College. Ever heard of it? Probably not. Though I suppose it's technically not a university. It's a small two-year college near the border of California and Nevada. They only accept a handful of boys every year (the total student body is around 26), and while they have voted to start accepting female students, it's been delayed in the face of legal action until at least this fall. Only around 1000 students have graduated from the school in its entire 98 years, and of the 180–250 applicants each year, 14 are admitted for an admission rate of about 5–8%. There are a couple of reasons why this school is so sought after. The first is that the graduates all go to Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and the like. It's basically like an Ivy League two-year college. The second is it's free. That's right, 100% free. And the last is that in exchange for tuition, room and board, the students work on the on-campus ranch. So it basically teaches students the value of hard work both in and out of the classroom, and it's regarded very highly by schools worldwide. When I first got my period, we were on vacation in another city. I knocked on my dad's bedroom door and said, "Daaad, I just got my period." Through the door, I heard him go, "Ahhhh, s**t." Luckily, my sister and my aunty were with us, so they were able to assist in the nitty gritty. My mum cried on the phone, because she was back at home and couldn't be with me for this momentous occasion. My family has always been pretty open about most things. I can't say for certain how my dad feels or felt, except perhaps sympathy? I get really bad cramps and sickness, so every time I get my period he always apologises that this must happen to me ("I'm so sorry, sweetie. It's not fair, is it?" , Hands me the chocolate and listens to me complain, tolerating a surprisingly graphic amount of detail.Actually, I just asked him what he felt when me and my sister got our periods and he looked at me for a moment, then shrugged and said, "I dunno, 'poor things'? I mean, what can I do about it?" Then he laughed and said, "I thought now I'm going to have to worry that one day I'll hear 'Daddy, I'm pregnant!'" So there you go. Now he's feeling sentimental and talking about how proud he is of me while I try to write this answer. Life is hard. I got a phone call from a person claiming to represent the US Government. He wanted to speak to my (adult) daughter, but I was suspicious, and asked him for details. He said that she had missed jury duty, and was about to be arrested, but if we acted quickly, we could avert the damage. I told him that I wanted to protect her, and that, if possible, it would be best if she never even learned about the problem. What could I do? He said that for a $500 fee, they could expedite a document that would avoid all prosecution. I said I would do that; how do we proceed? He said we could meet at a local CVS Pharmacy; he would bring the forms, I could sign them, and he would file them. But he had to get the funds in cash, not check or credit card. I agreed to do this, but (I said) I needed to have his cell phone number so I could find him. He was reluctant, but I insisted. He handed his phone over to his boss. I was so sincere, and so compliant, that he met my request, and gave me the cell phone number. I then told the man that I was reporting the scam, and that his cell phone number would soon be inoperative. If it is possible for them to trace who had bought it, then he would be in even deeper trouble. He got very upset with me. He asked me if I was a psychologist. (That’s because my counter-scam had seemed professional to him.) We chatted for about ten minutes. I told him that his scam was unfair and harmful. He responded by saying that he only took money from people who had cheated the government. I suggested that he get a better job. He said he had tried, but six months ago he had been released from prison, and all prospective employers had turned him down. He finished with some chilling words: “You realize, of course, that I know where you live.” Source: https://www.quora.com/Have-you-ever-scammed-a-scammer-1 Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |

In order to enjoy the full benefits of Payeer, you would need to get verified/personalized. However, Payeer verification isn’t easy. They don’t accept voter’s cards and driver’s licenses as proofs of nationality. What they accept is a government-issued plastic ID card (like national ID card) or best, international passport. Forget about an NIMS slip, whether laminated or not. It’s best to use international passport as a proof of nationality. Your proof of address can be utility bills. The utility bill you use must be recent – issued within 3 months. You can also use your 3-month bank statement, which is very effective. The bank statement must be stamped and signed by your bank. In our experience, it’s best to use a 3-month bank statement, showing your address and stamped and signed by your bank. The statement can be for your Naira account and your domiciliary account. Finally, use a high resolution scanner or a very high resolution smartphone camera to scan the documents. All the edges and details must show clearly, with no edits, bends, roughness or fades. If you can do this, you’d get verified quickly. Then you can start enjoying your Payeer account. NB: Without verification, you can use Payeer. But verification would open you to additional features. What are the highest paid programming languages and areas? I know that It has been asked many times on quora and programming is not primarily about how much money you make, but I’d like to know what are the best career paths taking into account the salary and job opportunities. Answer: I think you already know this is a fool's errand. There is no automatic career path that pays more and more guaranteed. You can gain rare and valuable skills to help you leverage pay. You will still earn less than your boss. Current fads and fashions include data mining and machine learning it seems in the corporate world. You can go into management, an unrelated field. Earn less than the owners of the business. Own your own business. Unlimited upside if you get it right. You had one Bill Gates. One Paul Allen. And tens of thousands of Joes and Sues who wrote lines of code for Windows and Office. They are still coding because they can't afford to retire. They lead a comfortable, normal life, and enjoy coding for the most part. You must navigate a career. When I started, CPUs were 8 bit. There was no guidance available then on where I would be now. You must keep your head up, and create opportunities for yourself. But programming doesn't make you rich. Selling programmed products might. Why do people quit their jobs at dream companies like Facebook or Google? I can only speak for my own decision to leave Google in 2010. It's a great company full of amazingly talented people with access to incredible resources. So why leave? Google was simply too big for me. I'd come from Endeca, a startup that I helped grow from a founding team to 500, and I didn't realize how different it would be to join a large company where the connection was inherently less personal. It simply wasn't a good fit for me. I left Google after a year to join LinkedIn -- then a 700-person company -- and my role there was much more expansive and more personal. In my 4.5 years there I worked with groups across the company, getting involved any effort where I could productively contribute. It was awesome! But growth happens. By the time LinkedIn reached 7000 people it wasn't the same company for me. I was ready for something small again -- and something far more personal. So I joined a health care company as CTO in May 2015, with the goal of helping improve the lives of millions of people. It turned out that wasn't my dream job either. So now I'm taking a break from full-time work, doing an assortment of advising, consulting, speaking, and writing. In short, there's no such thing as a dream company. It's up to us to dream, and to find the opportunities that align with those dreams. Good luck finding yours! 2000 years ago is the time of the Romans. This era is famous for the following saying: Carpe Diem. This translates to “Seize the day” and is a good example of the Roman view on sleeping. Sleeping was viewed as not much more than a necessity. This is further evident from the cubicula, the small Roman bedrooms. These rooms had low ceilings and few decorations. Although the cubiculum of a noble family could be decorated with mosaics, it would still be a crampy room. It was given little importance in a Roman villa. While sleeping, the Romans could not conquer anything. They could not build roads or aqueducts. One source I found, suggests most Romans rose before dawn and probably slept less than 8 hours. This is confirmed by another source, which further states that people who slept in were viewed with contempt, since they were likely drunk (or at least: people would think so). This source goes on to suggest that the Romans slept in two phases, the first one of “up to 4 hours” and the second one of “six hours”. This biphasic sleep is confirmed by some other sources. People would go to sleep at sunset and wake before sunrise. It is not really clear how much time people would stay awake in between both phases. Some sources claim it was considered to be the perfect time for studying or having sex and that people would stay awake for “one hour” up to “several hours”. Virginia Tech professor Ekirch also claims it was a “busy time”. To conclude: the Romans most likely slept in two phases and their total hours of sleep depended mostly on how active they were in between these phases. This would vary for each individual. However, in general the Romans were quite active, as evident from the Carpe Diem saying and the discomfort of their bedrooms. In prehistoric times, sleeping could be very dangerous and you needed a lot of time daily to gather food and resources or to hunt. So if you can sleep 8–9 hours straight tonight with no consequences to your survival or work efficiency, count yourself lucky! Why does every employer ask about my current salary during a job interview? Everytime I have a job interview or ask a friend about one of theirs, eventually the employer asks about current pay. This happens independently if I sent a CV or if they got in touch with me first. Why is that? Answer: Just to get you as cheaply as possible. Thought experiment: Interviewer: “What’s your current salary?” You: “It’s twenty seven thousand five hundred” Interviewer: “Great! In this new job, you will receive one hundred and fifty thousand. That seems fair given the role. And as our profitability, sales pipeline and market positioning all do not depend on you alone, there is no reason to vary away from what the role is worth to us” Sound likely? Ever heard it? Me neither. I don’t have good advice though. I’ve always mentioned my current salary, and then been surprised to receive something almost entirely similar within ten percent. Because I know a little about software, but am otherwise quite stupid, really. Possible, yes. Wise or advisable, absolutely not! Tigers are dangerious wild animals. They are incredibly expensive to feed and their predatory nature makes keeping one a huge civil liability. Further, even a very large house doesn't give a tiger the roaming space it needs. This means it won't get proper exercise and will probably be in a fowl mood from having its freedom of movement so severely restricted. Trust me: You don't want an animal that could easily kill you in half a second in a fowl mood. Keeping pet tigers is legal in some jurisdictions, but it shouldn't be. It's cruel to the animal and dangerious to anyone near it. Source: https://www.quora.com/Is-it-possible-to-keep-a-tiger-as-a-pet-in-a-huge-house Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |

It warms my heart to do nice things for them, and keeping them safe with me all night is a blessing. It makes me feel good inside. I can’t describe it. I guess that’s what being a pack means: putting each other at peace.
Although both of them can jump on the bed, at bed time they ask to be picked up (because they are sleepy?) and I think it’s the cutest thing.
