what HK want is not the matter here, this is about Chinese sovereign, they can't allow HK to be in line with West, it happens to Russian too and it leads to Russian Georgia war in 2008. they do the same to Ukraine and annex Crimea, they threat NATO with their dealing with Belarus, they won't allow them to interfere in their regions, it's about their national interest. you can't have enemy close to your border. they will send soldier there and occupied it and nothing will happen. HK belong to china from the beginning until Britain colonial rule still they handover HK to china under one country two rule but HK is against china national interest hence china have to contain them

U don't understand what I mean wether enemy or not u still rule the people and if the Chinese president is wise even if he wants to control the region he must make the people see him as the better option not as he is doing creating fear this will only lead to war and China and Russia are weak .wait before I argue . China's economy is weakened by sheer policies of the US and with the less dependence on oil so is the Russian economy and even if China should control HK u must be warned if the people rebel against u you cannot hold the country to control most places as seen in history what has to be done is simple create hatred , of which by now the rich nobles will hate the Chinese because if they hadn't come up this won't have happened and if China dares they will loose it because the people who know more about the land will fight you and with the help o higher powers from the exterior will window China should be careful this war is not China britan but China vs US , to who hates China and damages the economy, Britain who China can't touch , Japan a next door neighbor, isreal , India , NATO .so you must see that hey can't win and Japan being a former enemy if China with the same orientation and NATO weapons will fight back Africa with whom the Chinese relate well with seeing that the west has taken up arms will have to revolt.
