Pengassan did not go on strike over high prices of petrol products which has made life unaffordable for many Nigerians. They didn't go on strike over bad governance or the obvious swap of election results or the lack of focus of the current government over a Nigerian project. No strike over insecurity or prices of air fares that has denied many Nigerians the pleasure of flying.
Selfish union selfish government.
It's all about people in government who want to keep milking the people.

Were they dead when these people were building?
Someone in the local government council approved this for money and they should be held responsible. No one builds anywhere without some sort of clearance. And if it's illegal it should be stopped before 10% of the job is done.
I know Nigerians also will want to pay for the warnings to stop.
This is hard but looks like the day of reckoning.

My NYSC started at that camp in 1993. We did everything we should do even had our endurance trek through the bushes stopping over at about 2 communities for a break and we had lunch at one community. Just unarmed military personnel with us and NYSC officials. All we were warned and afraid of were the bees.
I was on that camp for 5 consecutive orientations because of the OBS which I built with FM radio transmission equipment as a development project.
Something happened to Nigeria.

$70000 before no be N13m or lesser. Na because our money don rotten e be like big thing for street man.

Congratulations to him. It's not easy to build some of these diy projects it requires some level of dedication.
However it's not an invention but a good thing to bring about safety and awareness.

However just like the no smoking and no blades and fluids rules that came to play after Sept 11 total safety has become the concern for air travel, because you can never tell when the evil man is on board.
It's possible to have a mobile device modified as some sort of explosive with it's battery.
I am surprised they haven't banned phones and laptops on board because batteries are one of the restricted items on flights.

How do you escape arrest at an airport when you will eventually go through the arrival hall with security personnel stationed there?

Were you on board the plane?
None of us were? Until the flight arrived Lagos no one knew there was anything wrong.
Until there is a fair hearing no one should conclude based on the airline's report and actions.
The true story seems like
1. She was asked to switch off her phone and she insisted her phone was already on flight mode which technically is safe.
2. This didn't go well with the hostess who insisted she must turn off the phone power.
3. After a few back and forth which escalated, a passenger next to her grabbed her phone and switched it off which aggravated matters more.
4. She verbally assaulted the passenger and flight attendant.
5. Upon arrival she was prevented from disembarking from the aircraft and was reported to have been put back on her seat several times until everyone else left the plane.
6. While all this was ongoing the flight crew were determined to make a formal report and have her arrested for the verbal or whatever assault which had taken place already. So they reported to their officials in Lagos who invited security while holding her back.
7. While she was already held and ran out of patience with just the flight attendant at the door waiting for security to arrive she assaulted the flight attendant removing her wig and refusing to be intimidated by several others.
8. When security arrived they pulled her out of the plane and the rest is what we know.
Who should have maintained peace here?
Obviously Ibom Air officials have released a statement based on their flight crew's one sided report without any witnesses report.
