So sad fair well cochie we love u but god loves u more ebosie11: The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released the funeral schedule for the lateStephen Okechukwu Keshi.
According to a statement released by the Glass House Wednesday, the funeral rites for the legendary Eagles player and coach will hold from 27-29 July, 2016.
Activities lined up for the period include a night of tribute in Abuja, lying-state, church service and novelty football match in Benin City before the final burial in his ancestral home in Illah, Delta State.
Keshi’s children have appreciated the efforts of the NFF, the governments of Edo and Delta States, and the global football community since the passing of the Big Boss June 8.
A letter signed by Jennifer Keshi and addressed to the NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, reads: “The children of the late Stephen Keshi, Jennifer, Stephanie, Sophie, Stephen Olufemi Keshi and Stephen Keshi Jr, would like at this time to express our thanks and appreciation to the people of Nigeria, Africa, the Football community all over the world, most especially the Nigeria Football Federation, Edo and Delta State Governments, our relative, friends and well –wishers who have surrounded us with their love and care in this period of bereavement.
“We are deeply touched by the numerous calls, visits, prayers, words of encouragement and the show of willingness to be a part of the burial arrangements. Your acts of kindness and generosity have made our burden bearable. Thank you from the depths of our hearts.
“Our late dad was not only a wonderful husband to a wonderful wife, he was a soccer icon. Our mother who passed on to glory few months ago, together they were the most precious people we ever had. Their parenting and love for us knew no bound. They protected us and shielded us and prepared us for life.”
Keshi’s children have since returned from their US base to ensure their famous father gets a befitting burial. Meanwhile, the Sports Committee of the House of Representatives has hailed the late Keshi as “a man of peace, a gentleman and a thoroughbred professional footballer.”
In a letter signed by its chairman, Hon. Goni Bukar Lawan and addressed to NFF president Pinnick, the committee wrote: “The death of this great icon at this point of our history is a great shock to the Committee and indeed the Football Community. The vacuum of his death will definitely be difficult to fill.”

Jibrin made the appeal on Thursday at the party's 70th National executive council meeting(NEC).
He said;
"Many of us who are founding members of PDP will not leave the PDP and the PDP will never die. We will continue to be in PDP. Whatever mistake that is there in the party, we must be there to correct it and make our contribution, leaving PDP is not the answer.I will like to appeal to everyone who intends to leave PDP to stop that, we must unite and all work together in order to build PDP. PDP is within a very good marking and I do not think I see anything wrong with PDP. Every party has its own problems and we should use our own problems positively. I am sure soon, the whole problem in PDP will be resolved.”
He also NEC meetings should be utilised in a way that would benefit the party.
“We are very aware of various meetings everywhere,I have decided that I will not attend any meeting apart from the properly organised meetings because we have to be very careful in the way we hold meetings these days.” http://dumebiifeanyi.com/pls-not-leave-pdp-bot-chairman-members/ |

Federal ministry of disagreement SirExperience: BREAKING: Senate, Reps Disagree On 2016 Budget
THE ongoing controversy over the 2016 Budget deepened on Wednesday as the National Assembly became divided over it.
The House of Representatives and the Senate took opposing positions over the budget, which is yet to be assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari.
While the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, said the Green Chamber will re-examine the budget in view of the prevailing circumstances in Nigeria, the Senate said it will not reopen discussions on the issue with the Presidency.
The Senate, through his spokesman, Senator Abdullahi Sabi, said the Red Chamber is done with the 2016 budget and if there is anything missing in the budget, the Executive should come through by way of supplementary budget.
Sabi said: “What we issued yesterday remains our position.
“Today, all we did was confirm the true picture of these situation.
“I had to verify my facts and speak on those facts.
“I think we have made that clear.
“Yes we have passed the budget, Nigerians are asking what next?
“What is important is for the budget to be signed.
“The constitution has taken note of these kind of omissions of allocations.
“We issued that statement to clarify the situation and not to confront any authotity.
“We are a democratic institution and whatever we do, we remain guided by the ground norm of the constitution.
“Like we said, the Lagos-Calabar rail project was not included in the budget and does not in any way undermine the fact that it is an important project for this nation to embark on.
“The National Assembly is open if the executive brings a supplemantary appropriation.
“We are ready and willing to consider such.”
