NSEstudent: He would have gone ahead if he can afford it since these ISPs don't want to learn to optimize their services like Starlink is doing.
Meanwhile, the price increase is false and you really should not post it if you didn't confirm it. I renewed at 22.5k (25k minutes 10%), which anyone can do for the 50mbps speed, via SmartCash.
They still reduced my sub expiry date for God-knows-why. Of course I will be on their neck when that date draws near. Have you gotten the physical sim version you have been looking for? I am also looking. |

akinremedy: what network provider does that in Nigeria? Why procrastinate if you have the money since you confirmed it yourself that it's good. Is it until they increase the price then you start to regret? Do you know how much the Fastmile is being sold now in the market, a device that Airtel gave out for free about a year ago? Presently this is my second ODU, i bought another one instead of subscribing for a new month since it's free. You had better wake up and do the needful Lol, I for done buy 2 if I have seen the physical sim version. I guess I will buy the esim like that. It is 100% certain the price won't be same in the nearest future. By the way, what did the installer say when he came to install another one, seeing the old one? |

dustmalik: The problem we have in this country is that customer service is very poor. If Airtel handles this ODU very well, they will take customers away from MTN because, unlike MTN FibreX, this works almost anywhere, as long as there's Airtel coverage there. And their new 5G ODUs have very good radios that optimizes reception.
But they will still use their own hands to spoil things for themselves. Looking apparent. |

Mykcool: My neighbor uses the 5g router, his PS5 sees the 2.5ghz but not the 5ghz even though it’s just in the next room separated by a wall. He has to connect his phone to it then share it to his PS5. Anyone experiencing this or with a solution? You mean ODU or the ZLT X25? X25 has an option where you chose 5G optimization or something like that. When you do that, you don't see the 5GHz SSID for devices that support but see the main SSID. What happens is that devices which support 5GHz will connect to the main SSID as 5GHz whereas all others will connect to the main SSID as 2.4GHz. You will know which one is connected to which one when you login to the router interface and check the connections. If you don't select that optimization option, however, and your PS5 doesn't see the 5GHz SSID, it can mean a few things: 1. The PS5 does not support 5GHz. Many devices don't. 2. There is a strong enough barrier that blocks the 5GHz signal. You already said there is a wall. Most walls won't block it but still... 5GHz, while faster, is prone to physical barrier blockages, and it travels smaller distance than 2.4GHz. You can still have good enough speeds with 2.4GHz, depending on your use case. |

essentialone: I agree too. Lasaco is one stock that will move up greatly when the time comes. Peers in the insurance sector have left LASACO behind, weirdly. MBENEFIT was selling 67 kobo a few weeks ago. It's now selling above LASACO. They say LASACO has too much OS abi float. |

Someone asked a question regarding this DANREFINE salary issue no one has answered.
Is Dangote making enough money from the refinery currently to pay the huge expected salaries? Are the workers and, in extension, PENGASSAN concerned about this aspect in any way? Hopefully the workers are actually putting in the effort at their actual jobs, but I have seen where workers were agitating for increased salary for a loss making company during a very bad period caused by macro-economic factors.
Anyway, I know Ibeju-Lekki and 400k per month will really make one have one of the poorest living standards there if it is truly the "gross" salary. Except if the company offers shelter and feeding. But it won't be gross salary again if the latter is true will it?
Another angle is that, as it is said, they are entry-level; so apparently 400k is a good enough starting salary for someone who may still be living with their parents/guardians.
I am only conjecturing. |

awesomeJ: Some times, the problem might be with the users and not the developers.
What I imagine is that this holiday case would require a privileged user to manually set a day or days as public holidays.
The engineers might have built in that functionality, but what if the privileged users fail to use it. I mean, it's more convenient to leave it like that. If investors like make them no check for public holidays. If NGX says "no access", then everyone should get it by fire by force. The developers tried though. The issue with public holidays can be overlooked, whether or not they implemented it. |

awesomeJ: Maybe you might be interested in this feed back: Instead of saying market opens at 10 am next trading day
Why not make next_trading_day a variable and set a more intuitive value for it.
E.g
next_trading_day = Date.Today.Friday ? Date.Today + 3.days : Date.Today + 1.days
If Date.Today.Saturday next_trading_day += 1.days
You can certainly adapt to your Language's syntax. Room should be made for public holidays o. Because this logic will make every weekday a market day. I suppose developers of iTrade which Morgan Capital uses, use this logic, because on public holidays the market is "open". Anyway, public holidays can be taken care of as they come since some of them are not predictable. |

Hopez456: Maybe and maybe not. Technology may also be different. It also seems they're phasing out the 5g router. That 5G router has been on "restocking" status in their apps for a long time. This ODU is not available on their apps and my location is quite far from any official Airtel shop. |

I had nothing close to either of those at the time 😁😁
And it's not even N5m of today's money o. That was exactly why I didn't use them at the time. I had them locked in as a reliable broker, as I was looking for a stable company that won't easily close shop and come up with stories. One of my mentors then introduced Morgan Capital Group, who were charging the least fees with a very good UI/UX. |
