Go all Felicity inverter and Batteries, they should have sort of communication in their newer models.... Contact the company and state your need, they will provide recommendations..

Tactel, not sure

I think he has growatt inverter already. So if he is not open to DIY, he can go with Felicity now. I'm sure they have comms that work with growatt.

I buy through Morgan capital.

I check the debt market for any appealing FGN bond and send an email to Morgan capital stating the bond name and quantity I want them to buy for me.

While searching for fgn bond, take note of the tenor remaining and the premium you might be paying to buy it. You need to do some calculations to know what exactly you will be getting.

I sometimes buy bonds at premium and use a year's coupon to offset that.

Interesting. Although I think the bonds listed on the DEBT Group on Morgan Capital iTrade platform are FGN Savings Bonds which are different from FGN Bonds.

I indeed bought the Savings Bonds I invested in, in the past, from Morgan Capital. It would be interesting if they actually have access to the normal bonds with long term tenors.

Has Union Bank concluded to delist?

No, of course not. Theirs should be a buyout. The case with 11 Plc was different - voluntary delisting.

Wapgod:

What was the ripoff about?

While delisting, they counted back the period for which they'd make the final consideration (unit price at which they'd buy off investors willing to sell). Not totally a rip off per se but the expected consideration was way below the final consideration.

And I advised a few folks to buy too. Theirs ended in little losses.

Union Bank threatened to be flooded with offers today. However, it is ending the day in full bid and now destined to close at N6.10. That's some good return for folks who bought a few weeks ago at N4 ++

I'm going to sit and see how this one goes. Bought a few at N5+. Hope this will be better than the rip off 11 Plc did to us.

I buy my FGN bonds through Stanbic IBTC Bank and Stanbic IBTC Stockbroker.

The ones bought through the bank are migrated to my CSCS account.

Very few Stockbrokers are knowledgeable and informed about the bond Market. The best are Stanbic IBTC Stockbroker and Afrinvest. Those are the two, I get daily market updates from.

Thank you sir.

Intelligent questions.

1) bonds are quoted in unit prices. If you bought a N100 bond at coupon of 13%. At N80, your investment will be N8 million, you will continue to get your N1.3 million coupon. The face value is N100.
At N80 the yield on your investment is about 16.5%. As a matter of fact Investors got yield of over 18% about 4 years ago

2) At maturity you will be paid N10 million, because the face value of the investment is N100

Wow that's interesting. I have only invested in Savings Bonds and Treasury Bills.

So apparently the people who sell at the secondary markets either do so for Liquidity reasons or, when macroeconomic situations cause the prices to increase, for capital appreciation.

Lastly, does one need to open fresh accounts with traditional stockbrokers to have access to the money market instruments?

You will get N455,000 on 24th June 2022 and 24th December 2022 till 2031. That will be about N910,000 every year. And N9.1 million coupon in 10 years. Your initial investment of N7 billion will be paid back after the 10th year.

You can use your Sukuk and bond Investments as collateral to get loans equivalent to 80% of your Investments, financial institutions prefer Sukuk and bonds to stocks.

With your N7 million, you can get a loan of about N5.6 million.

There is a secondary market on FMDQ and NSE for the sale of your Investments before maturity.

Fixed income Investment can appreciate in price but not as volatile as equities.

Interest rates and inflation affects the price of your fixed income Investments. When interest rates and inflation increases the price of your Fixed income Investment will fall in the secondary market, if interest rate reduces the price will appreciate in the secondary market.

If Interest rate should reduce to 10%. The price of your Fixed income Investment of N100 at a coupon of 13% will increase to N130 in the secondary market.

If interest rate should increase from 13% to 15%, your fixed income Investment of N100 at a coupon of 13% will come down to about N87 in the secondary market.

But if you hold till maturity you don't have to worry about the price movement of your Fixed income Investment.

Part of the steady cash flow from your Fixed income Investment should be invested in equities especially when the market is bearish, real estate, Eurobonds etc

Very educating. Thank you sir for always giving these free but invaluable explanations.

I'd like to know, if someone buys a 10 year bond which has depreciated in value possibly occasioned by higher interest rates;

1. Will he keep receiving the same coupon as the original holder or the coupon will tally with prevailing interest rate?

2. At the expiration, assuming he bought N10m worth of bond at depreciated price of N8m, will he be paid N10m or N8m by FGN?

Not bc u pointed out the error but the WAY U POINTED IT OUT, Full of arrogance!!!

Someone spotted an error in a public post you shared on an informative forum, called your attention to it. You also checked and found same to be false. But you can't honourably accept to change it but instead claim he's arrogant? You don't see how you're being arrogant yourself? Perhaps the only one being arrogant wih a wrong post?

You're even asking him to go tell posters of very old posts to also make changes.

Na wa o. It's not all that serious stuff here. Not as though we'd forget how helpful you have been on the thread if you accept to change it. It's no big deal.

Settlement date, is when you Investment will be booked by the issuing house. CBN is the registrar of FGN bonds, the settlement date is the date your name is booked in the register of Sukuk Investors

You coupon will be paid 6 months and 12 months after the settlement date

Okay. This explains it.

Seeing that TTB is a new bank and not listed on NGX, acquiring majority shares of UBN means they would either buy out minority shareholders at a premium or list on the Exchange at a premium as well.

If they have enough money to buy the majority shares, why not the minority? We haven't read all of it yet.

My 2 Cents.

In addition to the suggestions made by @Yok, if you use external keyboard, just press Print Screen and your screen is captured. As a matter of fact, look for where Print Screen or a shortened form of it is written on your keyboard, if it is not the primary function, press and hold the function key (FN) and press the print screen button to have your screen captured.

its a CC-USB-RS485-150U PC Communication Cable and i dont have it

That cable and the software are what you need. I have the triron series and once used it to charge lithium batteries. The settings have lots of voltage controls.

Order the cable from AliExpress or jumia

The CC's PV max is 90v. If a series connection fixed yours, then, I will try that.

See that attached picture

Okay. With these specs, connect them in series. That would also go a long way to complement the wiring.

Ensure you set up the parameters appropriately to suit the battery as @EarthRealm suggested.

PS. Apparently the CC allows oversizing as the two panels already exceeded the power cap for 12V battery.

Are yohako cc's mostly fake? I use a 40A yohako mppt charge controller.

See the attached photo.

If the CC is truly MPPT, check the specs to see if it can take the voltages of the panels connected in series, then connect them in series. This may be the solution to your problem.

When I didn't know much about CCs, I once had a similar problem and I was corrected here and got better results.

Zenith Bank is currently the most profitable, with a profit after tax of N200 billion, has the biggest shareholders fund of over N1 Trillion.

GTCO will be on a buying spree for the next 3 years or there about, looking for pension fund, asset management firms, Investment banking firm, insurance companies, Fintech firms to buy.
Most of the acquisition will be bought at a huge premium.

Going the route of an organic growth will take time to achieve the desired result.

But GTCO is still good at the current price

I hope when they start this buying spree there would be a good management to foresee it.

Today they inched even closer to Zenith. It's matter when now rather than if.

This was how RIOT Blockchain and MARAthon Digital were going. MARA trailed RIOT with a gap of about 10 dollars or more, until it caught and overtook it - its fundamentals had always been better. cheesy

Looks like Zenith will overtake GTCO soon.

Good one from you there.
So, without the 'deception' of semantics, these "Second Life" Lithium batteries are USED, Second-Hand Batteries. Full Stop.

Now, if that is the case, my questions are: How do you guarantee or confirm the amount of Cycles left inside it, bearing in mind that the only reason we go for LiPo4 Cell batteries are because of its reputed 5000+ Cycles?

How do you TEST, that a Buyer is not being given a Used, second-life Cells, for the price of a New Ones, if a buyer requires New, grade A battery Cells.

It could well be that such Cells in a battery are closer to their "End of Life, than a "Second Life", without the new owner being aware, yet having paid top money for them!

I know you are a seller and l should not be asking you a question like that but l have the feeling you are a honest person and will always speak the truth.

Other Experienced/Expert/DIY RE proponents should please weigh-in on my question.

400w X 14 of PV 1,120k
200AH battery 600k
Total 2.040k he can add another 60k for accessories so yes 2m is not enough, if using good PV it will be 2.1m

Quite close

6KW PV and 200AH 48V plus inverter?
Well, let's say it would depend on the brands he'd be going for.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by IYGEAL(m): 12:29am On Oct 12, 2021

You need an average of 1.5kw supply so go for the following:

3kva 48v inverter - growatt or axpert variants so long as it's littium compatible
For 14hrs backup time (7 to 9am) you need at least 21kwh which is 437AH You can start with 200AH 48V LFP battery and increase capacity later.

Minimum 6kw array size. This also mean you may need external CC or just get a 5kw hybrid instead.

The above will gulp about 2m

Only PV and Bank go finish the budget
