pompido: On the db letter it was stated below also to include the bank charges. On your letter to the bank, you would have stated how it was 8090 Euro. Maybe Mark this part for them to see. Some bank aha. If you got anyone In Europe or Germany ask to transfer for you. If you will include PayPal charges. Around 3.5% of 50 Euro. I could ask my girlfriend in Germany to send for you. All you need to do is send the equivalent to me in Naira. I then send via PayPal to her. If you got anyone here or in Germany you trust ask them. It would save you transfer charges. All the best. |

My friends there are many possibilities When you booked maybe there was no earlier date. You know some people cancel and reschedule. I still believe they use their descretion especially if they know how long your residence office takes to respond, considering your enrollment deadline. When I booked I specifically and respectfully ask for around 3 weeks. They honored it and gave me appointment 3 weeks from the date I requested or sent the email. When you send an email, try to be very polite and diplomatic. All the same also formal. It helps. You don't know who is reading the email, the person's mood. If na Nigerian also He or she would be happy when you write respectfully and may likely oblige your request. |

crowns2: You could try. It will be forwarded to their HQ though. I tried and they could do it, but the lady told me they will send to Lagos. Since I was going to Lagos, I just told her I will do it in Lagos. I just completed the form I already got from the bank office, type a letter and photocopy my document (Go with original also, sometimes they want to confirm). So HQ would be faster and you could even know immediately if there would be issues (If the boss is available or on seat) There should not be. Now for any issues call this lady from HQ.. or send an email to verify from HQ. oligee: In my last statement about block account, I talked about issues with CBN and the interbank.. blablabal However, I did with fidelity (hq) and it was quite fast. I wrote a letter explaining in details while i was transferring the money with as much prove i could muscles. I had to convince the FTO. Though they've been doing it before as she said.. No doubt, this is a cheaper route and i think it is even faster (Maybe with fidelity because their partner bank is Deutsch Bank) If you need to transfer urgently, and got the money use normal means. One advice start early just in case there are issues. Try Fidelity and GT or any proven bank HQ Make sure you attached all prove and state clearly on the 'Form A' what the money is for I think its worth trying since you could save up to 200k For those who have a fidelity bank account or want to try them.. I will look for the direct contact of the FTO officer, the Bosses and other email to copy. If you do this you should get very fast respond and treatment All the best. I hope also it is still possible for you guys cheers 3 Likes |

Obiwannn: Use photocopy of your Certificate. That was what I stated here. Graduate certificate. Tell them all your originals are in the embassy. if you got certified copy take it along and show them.. |

Obiwannn: 1, Yes you only need to fill this form called FORM A 2, It took approximately 2 working days. I did it on friday at 2.30pm and on Tuesday, Evening at 6 the bank initiated the transaction. Though they said it might take longer citing excuse of lack of funds on treasury. If you decide to use another bank its probably going to be same issues as CBN is making it difficult. Anyway I got Deutsche Bank confirmation around 48 hours of the date or time it was initiated. Mine was dont at the HQ. However, any major local branch can do it for you. They will send to HQ for processing. It could take as fast as possible. I will predict one week.. What they do is simply bid for it using the interbank current exchange rate. The rate for EUR is going down because of Greece euro exit talk. |

So finally guys.. It took around two working days to get confirmation from Deutsche Bank for block account. Transaction initiated by Fidelity bank 6pm on Tuesday (When i got an email or alert). I actually fill and submitted the form A on Friday. So if there is funds it should take 2 working days once initiated. |

Williamso: you need any prove to show you going for masters, and the fees required. Just go with bachelor certificate. Admission letter. Deutsche bank account informatioN show how much you should deposit. Requirements from embassy showing the block account sum of any. Next write a letter of authorization allowing fidelity bank or whatever bank to deduct the equivalent from your savings or current account. make sure to include the required account information to debit and amount. That should be all. I already done my interview. You could also add mail from embassy asking you to fund account if you already gone for your interview. 1 Like |

By the way for block accout. fidelity exchange rate Used for me as at 14th July was approximately 222euro. So transaction should be less than 1.8million. I guess some banks use higher rate or rate changes every day |

igwejay: It takes sometimes and depends on how fast the bank could process your transaction. In my case I did on Friday afternoon. And just Tuesday transaction was made by my bank fidelity bank. I was told depends if there is funds in their tressuries. So man relax. It should work within a week. Cbn is making it difficult for banks buying and selling foreign currency from inter bank. |

Mmmmh. That's on a high side. I am presently trying to use fidelity bank. They said there is no funds and it might take longer time. As it last Friday it was 222 naira to Euro. I went to the head office in Victoria island. They were even saying it may not be possible to transfer to personal account. quote author=kennyoguns0509 post=35783533] @union bank no it's about 1.840 including charges [/quote] |

Guys. don't always advice or support any dishonesty. Just clearly explain that your parents business is not registered instead of going round the bush. Maybe get any document you got or any proof of business and what your parent does.. financial bank statement to prove it also. It does not matter if its not registered now. You cant change it now. If you are sincere you should get something to show for it even if its not registered. The embassy is very reasonable and this lady also I think called JE understands. Now the only problem is if your fathers business is big enough to make you come back.. like a tie. You strongly got to respond. no matter what. I have visited Germany 3 times now with the latest in January.. still I was tensed at the interview.. it could happened to anyone.. However since you are not lying just make a statement and attached some files..could even be pictures..bank account.. etc.. And be positive. Also, you probably posted here about your interview.. the embassy could be following this thread. Not a bad idea to help people but dont come here to say you are not coming back in pidgin. Its not difficult to decode. All the best dolpaz: |

@eke40seven Which email address should you send the prove of block account funding. The embassy would have contacted you to lodge the money and send prove.. do you just reply the mail or you send to the other email for student visa. Congrat in advance |

Hello Peeps If after your student visa interview you recieved a mail from embassy to fund your account and send details to them. If you reply this is email is it Ok or would be recieved? I am kind of confused that maybe not all mail is read. anyone already applied and forward details with just responding to their email? Worried about this. Someone told me you have to use the email for booking a student visa appointment I am just worried as the embassy asked me for some more details and to fund account after interview |

Hey Guys.. I applied for a German long stay visa for up to 6 month. I am going for the purpose of working.. lets say internship on research and development. I am a masters student of the university of Benin. After the interview my passport was returned with a stamp of the visa type and date. I was told that I will be contacted. I asked when but the lady said she don't know. Guys is this the normal condition or way it is done.. do they return passport normally for this type of visa application? How long do you estimate it will take? During my interview the lady always consult a book that looks like a dictionary? Additionally..she asked about the period of my high school, working experience, and university period. Also I had a working permit from DAAD. The internship was sponsored by DAAD. SO I dont have to pay any visa fees. Thanks 1 Like |
