emerged01:yes i am igbo, i said that in my first post. Yorubas didn't vote obj in 1999 because he was running against another yoruba man. My point is if tinubu had campaigned for and stood with jonathan in 2015, jonathan would have won the sw. |
Deedeedee3:gej won in 2011 in sw because none of your so called leaders like tinubu or maybe obj was supporting buhari. If tinubu and obj were with jonathan in 2015, gej would have won the sw. |
Please someone, is there any other country in the world that has electricity issues like nigeria? |
Deedeedee3:my question is what are the yorubas waiting for to push for secession. No better time than now. Why not now? |

emerged01:you still don't understand. Hausa people know that the average igbo man has a mind of his own. For example, if osinbajo was igbo when he contested with buhari, buhari would've have still lost the se because an average igbo man knows that buhari is poison even though he had an igbo running mate. Yorubas are different. You follow people you call leaders. If those so called leaders endorse something then the whole yoruba will also endorse that thing. The yorubas voted buhari because tinubu endorsed him and because he picked a yoruba running mate and they turned a blind eye to the poison that is buhari. Its easier for the north to work( i don't want to use the word USE) with the sw because they only have to pick one or two of the yoruba leaders and promise them one or two things and those yoruba leaders will now take the whole sw to the side of north. They did it with awolowo and now with tinubu. |
Agbaletu:i am igbo and to be honest with you, the only problem the se/ss havd with the sw is just that when it comes to taking sides, the sw takes the side of the north. Se and ss are united now but the sw still leans on the north. We still don't understand why the sw can't come together with se/ss. Nothing stops you from doing that. We need to untie the south from the hold of the north but we need the whole south to act as one and right now its only the sw that is still sitting on the fence. Igbos do not need convincing, we only need the yorubas to come to the table with us and the ss to show the north that they are nothing. We need a united south now more than ever. |
Op where is your source? And who is talking about war here? |
The only reason that they are even considering restructuring is because of the biafra issue. When we wanted restructuring they said no, now we want to separate from them they are shouting restructure. We need our referendum so that when we leave you can then restructure your nigeria. Ndi mgbu. |
I support biafra because i want my children and their children to have a better life than mine |
The yorubas are too afraid of the hausas to agitate. Simple. |
bantudra:ok. Do yourself a favour please. Can you just scroll down on all the threads in the first page of politics section and tell me how many threads are about biafra/igbos/kanu opened by yorubas and how many are about yorubas or the west opened by igbos. Come back and give me the result. |
bantudra:i never said you hate igbos. I only responded to what you opened fhis thread on. |
bantudra:i don't igbos opening threads everyday to attack the west. You people will open threads everyday about the igbos, biafra or kanu to say one thing or the other but when we defend ourselves you will say we are attacking you. For example, just look at this thread you just created this morning and the things you wrote up there, does it make sense to you? How would you react to this thread if it was opened by an igbo person to say these things about your people? |
fastjett:i'm telling you. The guy sounds like a 3 year old. |
bantudra:its none of your business but you open a thread here just to spite the igbos. You jump into every igbo/biafra/kanu threads just to talk trash about the igbos. FYI, igbos don't hate anyone. Its the other way round. I want to ask you, you have igbos living in your area abi? Have you ever gotten into a fight with any of them? Have the igbos engaged your community to a fight or even quarrel? You say igbos hate but in nigeria as it stands now only the igbos embraced one nigerianess and thats why igbos would go to anywhere in nigeria and buy a land and build on it and live in peace with the natives. You said no one wants to come to the east but that does not take anything away from igbos. We have people from every tribe and corner of nigeria living peacefully in the east without any discrimination. Concerning the issue of secession. Dude be honest to yourself for once, do you see any hope in nigeria? The system is messed up. If you havs travelled outside nigeria you will realise that nigeria is going backwards. I don't know whatelse to say to you but since you said its none of your business, can you from now henceforth ignore any igbo/biafra/ kanu thread? |
Watch as zombies will come here and say even america dey borrow. Apc and buhari are officially the worst thing ever to happen to nigeria. |
seunny4lif:lol. Can't we put our differences aside? |
If given a chance to vote on any one of these, which would it be? 1. One Nigeria 2. A new southern nigeria country. 3. Biafra 4. Oduduwa republic 5. Niger delta 6. Biafra/ Niger delta 7. Niger Delta / Oduduwa Give reasons for your vote. Personal i will go for number 2. If thats not possible i will go for 3 or 6. I believe a new southern nigeria have all the ingredients to become a huge success. |
Esseite:dude wake up. Any restructuring will still favour the hausa fulani. The only way they are still relevant in this country is because the constitution favours them. But if we the southern nigeria would break away and form a new country, we'll still have the population to trade. Igbos and yorubas alone are upto 70million people. Add that to about atleast 20 million niger deltans and we'll have over 90 million citizens. Should the middle belt also join then we are talking about a new country with over a 100 million citizens. Personally as an igbo man i have never had any problems with yorubas so i prefer a new country with the whole south united in it but since the yorubas have decided to sit on the fence and not take a stand, i'd rather have biafra than remain in the same country with the hausa fulani. |
This bayo just spoke my mind. Most yoruba leaders are moslems and they do not know what will become of them if for example there is a new country of the whole southern nigeria and possible including middle belt. This country would be over 90 percent christians. Igbos are saying enough is enough. Yorubas should take a stand. |
fulanmafia:you guys don't get it. Kanu and the biafra issue got more popular and support after he was arrested. He is deliberately flouting his bail conditions for a reason. Maybe his rearrest will generate more popularity and support from UN. Its a win win situation for kanu. Cancelling his bail will definitely cause an uproar and exposure. He will also continue with what he is doing now while out on bail thereby also gaining more exposure. FYI, kanu is right about buhari disobeying court orders. |
Oboy. The money that was spended should be enough because it was spended for me to travel 1st class to brazil. Why should we spended money on players when i haven't spended money for myself? Chai, imagine a whole minister does not know that past tense of spend is spent. Shame |
My brothers come back home. Come back home period. |
Only the igbos embraced the one nigeria nonsense. Yes we have made that mistake and i am happy that the internet age has really opened the eyes of most igbos. These days you can access any information from your phone. I never knew about quota system until about 3 years ago. All i can saybis that any igbo man still doing business or living in the north is on his own. |
Is buhari back? |
Movic1:the way you people talk sometimes sef. What other sensible way do you want us to tell you that we want out of nigeria? We have been asking for a referendum for years. Have we threatened anybody with war? For now we are still part of nigeria. I support the call for igbos to come back home but we shouldn't be threatened to do so. We are waiting for the 2nd of october. If its war the hausas want, we'll give them war. Question is, can the yorubas mind their own business? |
