Arewa cannot tell who is igbo or who is yoruba. To them if you are not hausa fulani you are igbo. Warn your brothers to leave the north. |

Trailii: we have been building skyscrapers in the west before Ernest azudialu (nest oil ) father was born .. infact your forefathers were still living on the trees with monkeys without clothes, when the west have started building skyscrapers ... but why Ernest no build skyscrapper for the east ? why did he decided to come to west to build it ? something must be wrong with the east ... or is the east cursed not to have good things ? you see? This was never about a project but just to quench another urge you had to bash the igbos. There are no skyscrapers in igbo land and all the skyscrapers are in yoruba land. Tell me again, how has all the skyscrapers in yoruba land helped to make your life better? |

Which kind research wants you to find skyscrapers in igbo land? Dude don't be a coward, just say there is no skyscraper in igbo land. Nobody will beat you for saying that. And again, another afonja woke up this morning and the first he did was to rush to nairaland and opened a thread about igbos not having a skyscraper. Are you happy now? |

mikolo80: why can't you provide electricity security or trains. Which country did govt provide these things without electorate forcing them .or you think ready made will fall from heaven in countries i have visited the goernment is not forced to do the most basic things. Nigerians are not asking for the government to build a space station in nigeria. We just want them to provide us the most basic amenities like electricity and good roads. |
Politics › Re: Poor Country People Mentality Vs Developed Country People Mentality by izombie(m): 8:21pm On Aug 10, 2017 |
thebosstrevor: The president is a single man and cant solve Nigeria's problem alone, you dont expect one man to have the mater plan on how to develop Nigeria.
our ministers, senators, the reps, the state governors, the state house of assembly, local government chairmen etc, they also need to take responsibility for the blame of the destruction of Nigeria because they all form the government.
One single man(the preseident) wont solve Nigeria's problems until we come together and collectively build up the nations i'm sorry but the buck stops with the president. The president is the number one man. Whatever he says happens. Thats why coaches get sacked eventhough he's not on the pitch playing. |
Politics › Re: Poor Country People Mentality Vs Developed Country People Mentality by izombie(m): 7:17pm On Aug 10, 2017 |
Op there are things the government should do for the people and there are things the people should do for the country. A president should provide electricity for his people and only then would you expect the people to pay for electricity they use. How do you expect me to pay toll fees when the roads are very bad? There are a lot of poor countries where everything is in place. Rich countries are rich because the government put a lot of things in place. I live in south africa and i tell you that i don't worry about electricity or water because i know my duty is to pay for these things and they'll be provided. The roads are so good that i am happy to pay toll fees. You get what i'm saying? |

So i've been checking. So buhari comes back, what next? The man is a monumental failure. I wish buhari well but he brings with him only misery upon nigerians. The protest by charly boy should've been to resign and not to return. He can return as a private citizen. I can't just see any reason how buhari's return will help nigerians. If you know how please tell me |

majamajic: Don't blame the igbo leaders here, blame the organisers of those igbo rallies. If u pay and invite the police for protections they will come.
But they always see police are their enemies during rallies .
As igbo person I still support biafra but I hate the approach. To get a country ..u need contacts from UN, CNN, BBC etc. With all that dialogues will be going on from the top and no lives will be lost at the bottom. Its better not to go into war again . We have few years to stay here on earth. We can get our top contacts and dialogue it all the way. And no guarantee we can make it as a country if we finally leaves, so lets not see it as if we are dragging a paradise.
Pls am not feeling fine I can't argue what other dialogue are you talking. Ipob rallies have been non violent so far but the police always find a reason to kill them. Tell me again, how many people were at charly boy's protest on tuesday? Just few people but they were teargased and water canoned for nothing. That an igbo and hausa person would do the same thing in nigeria and the igbo man gets killed while the hausa man walks just shows the level of injustice in nigeria. |

We all know how the army disarmed villagers in enugu and benue to protect the fulani herdsmen from the villagers eventhough the villagers were the ones being killed by fulani herdsmen. This is what nnamdi kanu is fighting against. The injustices in nigeria is glaring. Only yoruba youths were arrested when they fought back against the hausa youths in yoruba land. What did yoruba leaders or elders say about that? Nothing. This is not only a south east thing but the whole south. Our leaders do not protect us. |

Fineman87: Your ignorance stinks. All those positions you listed are presidential appointments. And in this democracy the south has dominated. Besides, What do you want to achieve by telling the world that the north controls nigeria, you ignoramus. And please where are you from, if not wastrland. its the truth. The north dey in charge. freshest4live: To me, they are all thesame, united in corruption while they divide us through the media along religious and ethnic lines. Even the northerners for all their control, still have the poorest and most marginalized region in Nigeria, the control hasn't improved the life of the common man significantly. thats the issue. The common man. Who is the common man? Thats the ordinary man who does not have abraham as a father. The elites enrich themselves while the common man fight among themselves because of the elites. Its not only a northern thing but a nigerian thing. You can fight for tinubu, buhari, fashola or orji kalu but i'm sure none of these people have done anything to improve the life of the common man. For the first time in a long time kanu is saying enough is enough. Why does the common man keep attacking kanu? |

freshest4live: But obasanjo was in power for 8years and Jonathan another 5years, if after all these, North still controls Nigeria, then we are our own enemies. Note that the core North have only been in power for few years in the entire history of Nigeria, but see how they used Islam to unite the middle belt all along. we all know the north only endorsed obasanjo just to compensate for abiola, again what they wanted at the time. Jonathan was there by default. 2011 election was just about the only time the whole south voted for one candidate and that candidate won. The north went back and restrategised and they are in power now. |

freshest4live: The Northerners are in control because the Southerners hate each other and the Northerners bank on this to divide the south and control them further despite the fact that southerners are more learned, majorly control the media and some vital aspects of the economy. yes we are more learned than them but politically they are better players than us. |

Politics › Re: The North Is Really In Charge Of Nigeria. by izombie(op): 11:52am On Aug 04, 2017 |
Fineman87: This topic is senseless and meaningless. You are giving the northerners a psychologic victory which is stupid. Once the mental war is won, then everything else is lost. Stop hyping the north. Since the return of democracy, southerners held power and controlled nigeria. That is why the north fought hell to get power back. And they found sfools in wasteland, which the op is from. So stop this rubbish. In democracy, the south controls nigeria. dude what are you yapping about? Which democracy does the south control? Can you give further details on that. What in nigeria does the south control? Is it the presidency, ministerial appointments, ports authority, aviation, army, oil wells? Etc. What? Heck, we couldn't even do anything about buhari's absence from nigeria for months. And please i am not from any wasteland. Stop being delusional. |

But don't just envy them. The Division amongst the Southerners is the power behind the HausaFulaniKanuris-Muslims hold on the rest. i don't envy them. I just admire how they are able to manipulate a part of the south to always have things go their way. |
