I didn't give him = Ban ba shi ba

I am not giving him = Ba zan ba shi ba

You omitted "give" which is also "ba"

Note the addition I made tho'. I don't know the reason but whenever you intend to deny something or say anything that means negation, the 'ba' always usually must begin and end that statement.

I didn't go = ban je ba

I don't know = ban sani ba

I am not coming = ba zan zo ba
