@Cmeo.You are on point. When ppl come in NL to make some comments,it only exposes their knowledge gap.Going by the sack of DGs and MDs,only three banks were involved.FMBN,NEXIM and BOI.The reports here clearly states a developmt bank.So do you still need a name calling again?Nairalanders pls research before exposing your knowledge gap here.

@phillips70 God bless you for your submission.Nigerian youths are so lazy and display knowledge gap in most of their submissions.I pity the so call loudspeaker on the floor of the Senate.I believe he must be ashamed by now.A simple search on what is REMITA would have enlighten our Senators and our so called Commentators on social media.REMITA is like App that facilitate funds movement between banks developed by a company called System Specs.I advise our people to seek for knowledge not to come online and be displaying knowledge GAP. Honestly this development is a litmus test for the State Assembly chaired by Honourable Najeem Salaam. There is no justification for the Governor not to pay salaries.
Osun receives allocation every month so what is he spending the funds on?I have always ask this pertinent questions;why the rush to develop Osun State? How many Projects can he handle at a time?Execute Projects that has high ROI because of the size of the state.
I cannot even understand the justification for the creation of more Local govt that the Governor is championing. All his advisers had failed.
He should be made to publish the Osun state spending of the allocation received for the past 7 months.

Please impeach this guy Osun house of Assembly.

Business / Re: The Importance Of Bank Verification Number (BVN) by JackDaniels1: 7:07pm On Mar 16, 2015
@AuTo,I totally disagree with you on the issue of NIN.This NIN is meant to work like Social Security number in the US.I am sure it will get to a time when NIN will be made compulsort in Nigeria for certain government services.
We are somebody before becoming an account holder.
You are eligible to have NIN from d age if 16 so as the banks
Soonest registration by birth will be included as evidenced on their site
Nigerias need only one database for biometrics, infact no other agency private or public has the right to keep citizens biometric data except NIMC as evidenced by the Act that establishes it.
All what they need to do is to collapse all data collected into NIMC infrastructure
Going through NIMC ACt I discoverd that NIMC has power to regulate the industry with that I believe they will come out with regulations soon.
NIN is all we need please

te author=DaBullIT post=31660791]
You have made sense but I still don't agree with you, what you are saying in essence is that bank PHB, Skye, Gtb, Fbn, diamond, unity wema. E. T. C will have a common data pool which they would compare to verify? Even that's more dangerous for customers and banks themselves, Besides the real fraudsters engage cmd's and bank managers to clear out funds from illegal sources, I heard of a case where manager used a live account to clear out $800k , how would bvn prevent that?
Furthermore almost all the banks are asking you to create account online, although the accounts will be limited to certain amount per transaction it doesn't stop fraud
Finally Nigerian banks are skipping important steps they want to move directly to perfect banking, for this to happen we need population management database, Citizens identification number which would be issued at birth to babies and updates frequently like the west's Social Security number even that does not work effectively. Man makes a rule, Man breaks the rule, I agree with you partially but the Nigerian approach can not work

CBN and Bankers Committee should get serious for a while. Please ask them is there any similarities between BVN and the NIN(National IdentifIcatn Number) by NIMC.We were told over N30billion was released for this project by GEJ.Is CBN and NIMC not Federal Government agency again? This is policy somersaulting and corruptn we talk about.I see no sense in CBN going ahead to do BVN since we have NIN except NIMC is just there to mark time.It is high time CBN,NIMC and PRESIDENCY issue a public statement on this.As for me,no bank can force me to do any BVN, I have my National Identity Card which can function as BVN if properly utilized.
Business / Re: Nigerians Living Abroad Have To Travel Back Home To Get BVN In Banks?? by JackDaniels1: 1:26pm On Feb 20, 2015
My people, this is policy somersaulting we always talk about in Nigeria.
It is in the exclusive list that Citizens' Biometrics should only be kept by NIMC(National Identity Management Commission)
This BVN thing is just there to bring in more issues to the financial populace.
As for me,i will not do the BVN of a thing, they should use my NIN(National Identification Number) from NIMC for any of the intended purpose.

Politics / Re: APC Will Slash Tariffs On Imported Cars -osinbajo by JackDaniels1: 2:25pm On Feb 12, 2015
Boss13:

Many of these politicians do not know what they are saying. I am truly disappointed in APC because of certain reasons. They claim to be CHANGE. I do not see the change even after recruiting the Obama campaign organisers. If the Vice President candidate of APC cannot truly communicate the economic changes they are coming on board to implement then there is a problem because the VP is the chairman of the economic committee meeting. Stopping the importation of tomatoes and cassava and reducing import tariffs of second hand cars in order to encourage importation of cars are conflicting economic policies. Is he just saying all these to sway votes?

I also disagree with him on the free lunch for all public schools - that is not feasible and if feasible too expensive for our economy and also it does not improve on the quality of education except the aim is to increase the number of almajiris rushing down in the afternoons to public school for a slice of the cake. The aim here should be improving the quality of education not food.

I will only comment on the feeding aspect for now.
The feeding programme is being implemented in the State of Osun and to God be the glory,it has been a great success, for the Govt,Parents and the farmers.
Look at this, there has been empowerment of the citizenry in the aspect of poultry in the state to supply eggs and cattle dealers to supply meat. While the parents are happy for feeding their wards, the food vendors are also happy by smiling to the bank.

All this is still in the same system

I will not only blame Ifayosee
I blame the whole Ekiti indigenes.A state that is so endowed with people of high intellect. All they can produce is the Mad and Ill tempered guy called Ifayose.I am sure this was part of the resolution from their emergency meeting of yesterday at Maitama.Honestly GEJ shame on you.You are still the president and this rubbish is still happening under you.
In a sane society,Ifayosee should be in DSS custody by now.
I have 3 question for Ifayosee

1.Are you sure you will live to see tommorrow 20/01/2015? .Death is not a respecter of Age.
2.Are you considering defeat already?
3.Nigerians demands for your Psychiatric evaluation and the result to be published in the national dailies
4.How will you govern your state if this man GMB you are wishing dead emerges the Winner by FeBuhari 14?

Politicians should please think before they do things. This is definitely out of the whole.
By this, you just allowed your Benefactor to loose my vote.

Ifayosee you must be in PRISON where you belong.

Please say no to IGNORANCE!!!!!
How can a literate person,i choose this word carefully because for you to come on here and post a comment u re Literate. So i do not expect you not to know when u allow sentiments and bias overshadow your sense of reasoning.Nigerians i think we need to read and make more research .
They call this card a General multipurpose Card which means it can be used for so many purposes. So the applets on this card has different functions among them are PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION,EMV(Europay/Mastercard/Visa),ICAO(Travel Card),e-PKI).You are having all these in a Card and you cannot be proud of your country? For payment part, only information that is required to be released by law(International Standard,Data Protection Law and best practices)is released for payment like your ATM. Do not be fooled by all these politicians,I am sure Mallam Nasir El Rufai must have gotten his e-ID Card by now and you are here following him and Criticizing.Do not be surprised if this Card becomes a Mandatory requirement for all Public/Social services soon.Politicians you better go and get your NIN.
Be assured that your Database is in the Country NIGERIA.
Embrase this Card,Say no to Identity Theft,Say no to Crime,Say no to Corruption and SAY A BIG NO TO BH.

@Ceasare
Going by your submission, you are not been straight forward with this National ID.This is not Mediocrity,we are the same set of ppl that is clamoring for a unified database in order to eradicate all the multiple capturing of data and biometric been done by different agencies.FRSC, INEC,BANKS etc.
The aim of this is not just to issue the card but to maintain the database in a continual basis. So we should all see the benefit of all this as our country is developing to a more viable economy.
@redcliff.
I dont think NIMC is turning into a financial institution because the ACT that set it up in 2007 is very clear about that.I guess that is the reason there is harmonization involving banks too.
I learnt that the payment option is just an Option not mandatory. You can have your card without using the payment option.

@mybettingtips The only reason your ATM is always held by the bank is because there is no form of Identification on the Card but the New eID has your photograph on it so nobody can claim it except the owner.
We should learn to appreciate ppl that are making things work in this present country.
I want to tell your that the database is very secure and the Commission has complied with all the international standards and best practices.
NIMC is ISO 27001 CERTIFIED in information Security System.

If you have been staying in Osun from the inception of Aregbe Governance,I strongly believe you will not be an Armchair critic that you are.
Road constructions has been on for a while not @ the tail end as you claim.
What do you have to say to some completed road networks in almost all the local Government in the State including Area Office Modakeke?
We shouls not allow ppl like @Ohaneze1 who knows nothing about our State to come here and be sanctimonous about our dear state.

Lets even start:How many of you guys has PVC from the state? This is only power you have to put the right person there
Please note,we don't want people that their hands had already been soaked with BLOOD to bring a course to the State Governance.
