Every year through its Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Technology, also known as MEXT, the Japanese government gives scholarships to International students who wish to study graduate and undergraduate courses at Japanese Universities.

Closing Date: June 14, 2019

The aim of these scholarships is to foster human resources who will become bridges of friendship between Japan and their home countries and who are willing also to contribute to the development of both countries.

These scholarships are all expense paid including traveling allowance from the home country to Japan and it promises a sum of  ¥144,000 yen per month.

Here are basic instructions to get you started;

ELIGIBILITY:

Nationality: Applicants must be a citizen of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.

Academic Qualification:
For Masters Degree (Graduate category), you must have spent at least 16 years of academic life in your own country or any other country apart from Japan. What this means is that you have passed through Elementary, Secondary and university which cumulates to the 16 years.

For Ph.D. Applicants (Graduate category), you must have been awarded a Masters degree in your home country.

Age Requirement: You must not be born earlier than April 2, 1985, which means not more than 34 years old

Language Proficiency: English Language proficiency is not a requirement neither is Japanese but you MUST be ready and willing to learn Japanese.

Health: You will submit a health certificate signed by a doctor that affirms you are both physically and mentally fit to study in Japan.Visa: You will obtain a student visa all at your own expense at the Japanese Diplomatic mission in your own country, also known as the Japanese Embassy.

Please note: if you already have residency status in Japan and applying for this Scholarship, you must reobtain a student visa and apply from your own country and not from Japan.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

Allowance:For regular students going for Masters, you will be paid 144,000 yen on a monthly basisFor Ph.D. students, you are paid 144,000 yen per month

Education Fees: Entrance examination fees, matriculation, and tuition fees are all paid by MEXT.

Traveling Expenses:MEXT (Japanese Government), pays for the traveling expenses which include flight ticket but you will bear all expense from your abode to the closest international airport as well as any lodging fees.
After the program, MEXT also pays for your travel expense back to your home country. But if you choose not to go back after a stipulated time, you bear your own cost of traveling back home


Remember closing date is June 14, 2019, and you have much document to submit.

A lot of people find it difficult to upload their passport photograph on the NNPC portal

kindly follow this step..

1. Take a passport photograph with a white background ( I took a picture with my phone)

2. Make sure your ears are showing ( You can put paper at the back of your ears )

3. go to http://reduction-image.com/resizer-online/

4. choose file
resize in pixels ... make the width and height 600

5. Validate ... Save the image

and try uploading again ...... all the best

I wrote Halliburton last year..... Pls no need for plenty stuff just concentrate on GMAT maths(ratio,distance time maths and a little trigonometry) and you are good to go.... 20 maths question for 35mins

Wow after the rejection mail few months back,well maybe they contracted the recruitment to ILearn,thats my thinking buh we should do more concrete findings on this, but i think is genuine. Did u also get d rejection mail??

2. No. You will need to submit your MSc transcript and MSc Certificate/Statement of result

For msc applicants,is the transcripts compulsory if you have your original cerfificate, again, can ur WAEC certifcate serve for english proficiency lastly is passport a must get for this scolarship. I would really appreciate if u can also outline the must get documents,plz?? Thanks.

No, am not, trust me, am just trying to help Incase you eventually get shortlisted, depending on competition majority of applicants will be wiped out, few will get invited for interview( now this is where you can even beat those with first class, awards & publication) . So you really need to know what is it you want, cause almost all questions will be related to it. Only like 3 or 4 people will be chosen per state,




Engineers have some nice loopholes, they can apply for France & Germany ( less competition) cause everybody want go U.K( very fierce competition).

I actually did register for two different people last year, but only the dude with the Chinese school got it, the UK dude was dropped at the Interview.

So in summary, try different countries, don't be all UK, too risky

But the schools for france this year,are all very competitive if you check thier world rankings..plz quote if im wrong??

That's Nigeria for u. Just study GRE and GMAT materials, at least you know by first quarter next year, things would take shape since the previous invitation was strictly for females and to improve gender ratio in the organization.

But how sure are we it was for only females and not both genders..well lets still be hopefull.
