Fashion › Beard Grooming Tips: 8 Ways To Optimize Your Beard by jackobi(op): 3:15pm On Aug 10, 2016 |
Beard grooming has never been so easy: These eight beard care tips will keep your facial hair looking resplendent
First and Foremost, Be Patient A truly epic beard is the product of self-restraint. When you first start growing, resist the urge to trim or style, and leave it untouched for the first 4-6 weeks. This will allow the hairs to grow in evenly (some grow faster than others), and help you pick a style that suits its length and thickness.
Match Your Beard to Your Face Shape Like any wild animal, a beard should be in-tune with its surrounding environment. Then choose a final style that complements your face shape. Your beard will look better, and so will you.
Know How & when to Trim Pruning is essential to a well-groomed beard—even if you plan on growing it out. Invest in a quality trimmer, and find the right technique to suit your master plan. Here are two tutorials for varying beardsmen: those growing it long, and those keeping it cropped.
Wash It Regularly This is especially important in the early stages of growth, when trapped food and skin cells can exacerbate the itchiness. Scrub your beard several times each week, then gently pat it dry: An overzealous toweling can lead to frizz and split ends.
Love Thy Beard Oil We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Nothing tames a beard like regular use of beard oil. There are many varieties to choose from, in a range of manly scents, but all of them will condition hairs to make them softer and shinier. But if you can't find any use the regular body lotions
Learn to Train Your Beard A regular trim will maintain your chosen shape, but it’s not the only way to keep your beard in line. A daily rubdown with a comb or beard brush will wrangle stubborn hairs, training them to grow in a downward direction.
Don’t Forget the Mustache Unless you’ve chosen a chinstrap—and we really hope you didn’t—growing an epic beard also means growing a mustache. To keep it looking neat, trim the area around your philtrum (the area under your nose) with a pair of grooming scissors.
Fuel Up You can’t build a house without bricks, and the same applies to facial hair. Your beard is made from protein and fat, but it’s also heavily reliant on Vitamins B5, B3, and B9. That means lean meats, nuts, egg yolks, milk, and plenty of leafy greens. If you’re seriously committed.

cynthia123: Hello Nairalanders,
In a short period of time, i shall be showing you some methods (Not all sha)
that i used to earn some cash online (at least $70) monthly on a parttime basis.
But before i do that, i need to work on your minds in order for us to fly together as a team.
==> ==> ==> ==> +++++++==> ==> ==> ==> ==> +++++++==> ==> ==> ==> ==>
We all like to dream about being financially wealthy. For most people though it remains a dream and nothing more. Why is that?
It’s because most people don’t set their mind to achieving that goal. They might not be happy in their current situation but they’re comfortable – and comfort is one of the biggest enemies of growth.
How do you go about developing that millionaire mindset? By following these simple steps:
==> ==> ==> ==> +++++++==> ==> ==> ==> ==> +++++++==> ==> ==> ==> ==>
1. . Focus On What You Want – And Take It!
So many people are too timid to admit they want something and go for it. When there is something that you want to accomplish don’t think “I could never actually do that”, think “I could do that and I WILL do that”.
Millionaires play to win, not to avoid defeat.
This doesn’t mean to have to become a selfish jerk. What it means is becoming more assertive and honest with yourself. You don’t have to grab off other people. There is a big pot of unclaimed gold in the middle of the table — why shouldn’t you be the one to claim it? You deserve it!
2. Become Goal-Orientated
It’s almost impossible to achieve anything if you don’t set firm goals. Only lottery winners (Nairabet, bet9ja, Baba Ijebu) become millionaires overnight. By setting yourself attainable goals, you will get there eventually. Don’t try to get rich quickly — get rich slowly.
Lets take the idea of making your first million dollars and expand on what kind of goals you might set to get there. Lets also say you’re starting at a break-even position – you’re making enough to get by with a few luxuries, but nothing more.
Your goal for the first year may be to have N1,000,000 million in the bank within a year. It won’t be easy but it is doable. Next you need to figure out the steps you need to take to achieve that goal.
Always like to look at ways to make growth before cutbacks. With that in mind, you might want to see if you can negotiate a pay rise with your boss, or if there’s another job out there that will pay better. You might be comfortable in your old job but remember, comfort stunts growth.
You may also have other skills outside your workplace that you can monetize to boost your bank balance (e.g. WebDesigning, blogging, Internet Marketing, Video Editing, Making Money Online).
If this is still not enough to make the money you need to save N1,000,000 in a year, THEN it’s time to look at cutbacks. Do you have a bunch of old junk that someone else might love? Sell it! Do you really need to spend N1000 or N5oo on your lunch everyday when you could make your own for a fraction of the cost?
If you are to become a millionaire, you need to start accumulating money.
Thanks for reading this. I shall hit you up with step 3 and 4 tomorrow evening. Well said... |

proddey: I wrote the PMP paper based test in Lagos on May 7th 2016 as CBT has been cancelled in Nigeria for some years now, and I passed at first attempt! I'm here to assist those who are also seeking to obtain this global certification.
How I prepared I spent exactly 5 weeks of study. Developed a study guide/ daily time table and was reading for about 5-6 hrs per day since I wasn't working so I studied full time.
Study Materials I used I used Rita Mulcahy's book "PMP Exam Prep" which I read over once and revised it once. I watched all the PM prepcast videos by Cornelius Fitchner and listened to all the audio CD's in Andy Crowe's "Conversations on the PMP exam" these three materials were all very very good and I strongly recommend them to anyone preparing to take the exam. I never read the PMBOK guide as it was too boring and difficult to understand so I only used it as a reference guide. The PMBOK guide in itself is inadequate as it only covers about 70% of the curriculum of the PMP exam. You'll need to use additional materials as well.
I took all the tests in Rita's book and scored on average 77.5%. I also took all the assessment tests in the end of all the prepcast videos and scored an average of 79%. There are lots of tips, tricks and secrets for preparing and getting the answers right in the exam which I learnt from the study materials I used.
Before the exam A week to the exam I felt I hadn't studied enough so I was scared that I might not pass so I tried to postpone / cancel the exam but I found out that it wasn't possible on the PBT . To cancel or postpone a PBT you'd have to do it 35 days prior to the exam. I eventually just decided to take the exam anyway based on what I had studied so far.
The exam day The invigilators didn't allow us to use the dumpsheet before the exam started unlike on the CBT that you are given 15 mins before the exam to use the dumpsheet. There weren't more than 4 calculation questions and they were quite easy. Overall I felt the exam was very difficult as I only answered about 185 questions out of 200. I had to just guess the remaining 15 questions. I felt my chances of passing were 50:50. I had made up my mind that if I didn't pass, I would just resit the exam 3 months later in August. So I hoped for the best but prepared for the worst.
The results came out after 10 days by email as it was a PBT. I passed and I'm PMP certified now!!
Are you preparing to take PMP exam in Lagos? Would you like to have the study materials I used? then send me an email a2space2015@gmail.com and request for the materials.
I will also share with you some tips and tricks for passing the exam on the first try. Greetings Bro's. I would love the materials too. Pls forward to jack0son2@gmail.com. |
