1stGenAmerican: Is your yearly salary at least twice of the cost that the company will pay for you to attendance the conference? Yes sir. It is. |

justwise: Your visa interview will likely focus on those areas and why your company decided to spend so much money on foreign conference rather than getting such info locally or attending the conference via zoom.
So you need to prepare to defend that. You need a sponsor letter from you company that will also include your company's profile and financial standing. Thanks for the update. What do you mean by financial standing? Like proof of funds or what? |

justwise: 1.What position are you in that company?
2. Do you have any experience or qualification in agro sector?
3. How big is your company? I’m a project manager. Yes I have attended quite a number of seminars and trainings in this field. The company quite new started in 2022 but fast growing. |

OyoTunjiUSA: Hey 🤠
1. Your company (Real estate & Agro company) does not have to write a sponsorship letter for you. The term sponsorship is being used for immigrant VISA. What your employer need to write out for you is Affidavit of Financial Support.
2. Your conference organiser does not know how B1 VISA application works in Nigeria , therefore disregard their suggestion to not make accomodation arrangement. The Consular officer must see evidence of where you will stay for the duration of the conference.
3. Before filling your visa application (DS-160), talk to your conference organisers to give you list of hotels or accommodations they plan to use for all their guests or use Google to look out for near-by hotels and book. You can book many hotels without actually charging your debit or credit card. Then go back and fill your DS-160 and indicate evey details it ask you to fill therein.
4. On the day of your B1 (Business) VISA interview here is what you must take along :
1. Official invitation letter from the conference organizers in the USA 2. Hotel or Accomodation evidence 3. Evidence of Financial ability eg bank statement or affidafit of financial support. 4. Evidence of your ties to Nigeria eg work-place identification, employment letter, etc. 5. MRV (VISA fee payment receipt). 6. DS-160 Confirmation print out.
PS: Attend your VISA interview with necessary support documents either the consular officer demand for it or not. Go prepared.
Best Wishes 🙏 Thanks a lot for this. Well detailed. Appreciate |

Mjolnir: for accommodation, go to booking.com and book accommodation in the city of the conference, while booking, make sure you read the fingerprint and select an accommodation with free cancellation option.
the Americans are notorious for not attaching much importance to documents.....so no need worrying yourself much, go with all the docs u think u need....chances are high they wudnt be interested in any of them Thanks for your response. Do I need to go with statement of account of my employers? |

Hello everyone
I’m to attend a conference in New York on the 17th of October. I work with a real estate and Agro company. The company is funding the trip as the conference is quite important for the agro segment they are venturing into next years.
The company has given me a letter of sponsorship also, I have reprinted my letter of appointment with the company. What other doc do I need? Meanwhile, I have gotten the invitation letter from the conference organizers.
Also, I have been advised by the conference organizers not to not make arrangements for accommodation until visa approval because they won’t take responsibility for any loss. Meanwhile, I was asked to fill accommodation details in the form DS 160 form. I don’t know how to go about this. |

Hi everyone.
I recently discover a small lump on my chest. It is firm, immovable and painless. I would not know it was there if not that I stood at the front of a mirror.
I have booked an appointment with a doctor but my curiosity get the best part of me as I can't wait to get answers. Is this something to worry about?
Please moderator, help push this to FP.

We northerners cannot sit idle and allow the SW to paint our president bad. This same president built the Lagos to Maradi Niger Republic train tracks to ensure that the yorubas travel to Niger to get education and tourism. You re misusing your right to be stupid |
