I'm afraid you didn't get ths one right. You can include all step-children - Its clearly stated on their site.
What I see there as an issue is the marriage after she (realised she) won.
Well, if its not marriage of convience and they can prove to the CO that they are legally married, then they are good. I bet its not gonna be an easy one for the both of them especially the principal applicant.

Ok if u guys got married after she won u need prepare seriously for questions to show u guys are not into what's called marriage of convience.
That said, If she applied as single and u guys got married (legally) after she won, then your child should be included (step-child).
I don't see anything wrong with that.
You can only have problems if u guys were married and failed to include the child when she applied online.

This is now the beginning of my experience. Two days later I was called to come for another Interview
and on the day to collect the visa I was called again to come for interview with different date.
I honored the earlier date but was told to come i the later date.
On the Day, They revealed to me that My hubby had a case with SFU Ikoyi which i did not know. The embassy wanted to be sure that I don't know about
it and they also doubted our marriage.
We were referred to SFU so that they can send their findings to the embassy. Later I was called by 10pm by an official from us embassy to speak with my Hubby. Hubby traveled to Ibadan for a family issue which i told him. He immediately called my hubby to confirm his whereabouts.
Then, This week, the embassy called us to come next week again which I don't know what they want or if it will be further interview.
or to collect our visa with is still with them.
Please advise.

I don't see them denying you guys your visas if there's nothing to hide. The visa is yours- go collect it!

I must confess by saying that if advice(s), experience(s) shared here was tag, so many of us won’t have been able to afford it. It was a great effort sharing and learning without charges in the BEST DV forum I ever came across at the time I was hungry for information.

As we all know, mine was like a miracle, 13th July, 2012, just about 2 months plus to the end of DV 2012 fiscal year, I realized I randomly selected for further processing and within that few months, I attended a class here on this forum and I can say confidently that it’s the best class/forum/house anyone can ever find anywhere talking about DV lottery - The most beautiful thing is that it’s free of charge!
Today I can say that am a proud old-boy of this great class/forum/house where you find the best of the best coming together to help anyone in need.
Thanks to you all for your efforts towards the success of my cool interview… .

Well, my interview experience was smooth and a bit long. I think in all it lasted for about 15-20 mins - yet the shortest throughout my stay at the hall.

At this point I will say all protocols observed.

Window 16 displayed my number…
A female CO - she is young and good looking… .

CO: good morning
Me: good morning (wifey and I)
CO: swear you tell the truth
Me: we both did… (wifey and I)
CO: finger prints
Me: we did… (wifey and I)
CO: Please madam you go sit down lemme talk with the principal applicant.
<<Wifey and kids left>>
CO: what is your highest qualification?
Me: told her
CO: list the courses you did in your final year
Me: I did
<<She picked on the last course i mentioned which was design concept of computer Algorithm and hammered on it.
Sadly, I was caught off guard here as I didn’t do much research on it during preparations - But thanks to work experience.>>
CO: what is Computer Algorithm?
Me: I explained
CO: what Computer Algorithms did you come up with in school?
Me: I responded one kind here sha as person nor do practical for school – computers then hard to see not to talk of say u wan use them.
<<Pls note that you must say it the way it was o. Don’t try to be smart! Trying to be smart by lying or anything could rope you to a tight corner where questions that might come up next you might just find disturbing to say the least.>>
CO: you mean no practical?
Me: We only did the theoretical aspects, no practical.
CO: Why no practical?
Me: well, computers weren’t common then.
CO: So how were you guys able to do your computational courses?
Me: well, all I know is that back then, it was all theory. If you must learn the practical aspects, one either
get to a computer school or during your Industrial Training (IT)
CO: where did you do your IT?
Me: I didn’t do no IT.
CO: why?
Me: because I missed it.
CO: so how did you get into practical computation?
Me: told her back then all they do was just all about the theoretical aspects of computers – nothing more. That I had to develop myself after school.
CO: was there no computer laboratory?
Me: sure there was
Co: were there no computers?
Me: yes there were but very old
Co: What types of computers were there?
Me: old IBM computers donated by shell
CO: smiles and nodded

She started typing again…

CO: any family pictures?
Me: brought out another album to show to her and telling her about the people she asked for me to talk about.

She now seriously started typing again… stood up… took a few steps away from her seat and picked up an A4 size paper and asked for me to pick up my visas at the circled address.
NO congratulations sha oh… lolz - maybe na me nor hear cos at that time i don already know the result so i don begin dey thank God for my mind.
whether she say or not, nor concern me at that time… <smiles>

NOTE:
If your documents are genuine and you are truthful during your interview, from the best of my knowledge, I do not think you have anything to worry about.
I will advice you just be yourself.
Speak out – A guy was denied at window 15, before I was interviewed, simply because he could not speak up. The CO had to ask for him to use the phone beside him if he is having problems speaking out – with the phone talk and all, he was handed back his documents and international passports (himself and that of his pregnant wife).
A lady was also denied because she tried to add some dependants after she won the lottery - a husband and 2 grown up kids suddenly showed up for the interview... Naija nor go stop.

Please also note that your documentation has to be very tight so as for you to easily tender them when requested for.
Make two copies of all documents as you may never know what they might be asking for next as regards your case.
