In the year 2013/14 either late 2013 or first two months of 2014, I have a friend from Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, he's in the military, he lost his dad and I went with him to burial, we camped in Otukpo in Benue State for the wake and proceeded to Agatu the next day, we didn't sleep in the village because it was ravaged by fulani bandits, to cap it off, we had to wait for vigilante group to come and escort us to his own village before the burial was carried out and we turned back that same hour after he was lowered into the soil.
This burial happened after prolonged kiIIings by Fulani herdsmen in Agatu in Benue State, guess what, David Mark from Benue was senate president, a protest was held in otukpo when he was senate president because of this kiIIings and no single person responded to it.
