quadraheem: It’s a pure ignorance really. Shariah panel has been existing that I know in Lagos for more than 2 decades. In fact, 2 locations in Lagos and there has never been anything concerning non Muslims whatsoever. Why the ignorant cry today? Must we add politics coloration to everything? It’s basically meant for resolutions amongst Muslims. "Hisbah is meant for Muslims". It is same Hisbah that's harassing students in BUK not minding if they are Muslims or not, it is same Hisbah that's harassing those who wants to take alcohol be it Muslim or not. This is exactly how it started. |

Bandirao: A lot of those people claiming to be Muslims in South West are not actually practising Muslims, they are bloody hypocrites.
Truly a new jihad is needed urgently in the south west.
How can a person claim to be a Muslim but actually reject the law of Islam is that not hypocrisy.
I know what I am talking about I once have a yoruba friend who claimed to be a Muslim and he indeed do many un islamic things, I once saw him drinking beer, iam very surprised and frowned at it but he tells me that it is indeed common for them to drink beer he even told me that his uncle who he stayed in his house also drink it and he was a Muslim, The saddest part is that I hardly see him in a mosque or hear him reciting the Qur'an, he also patronised ashawos infact he is nominally Muslim and this was very common for most of the so called yoruba Muslims, very sad 😡 Pinning certain attitudes to a tribe is really pàthetic. There are alot of northern Muslims both male and female that engage in use of hard drugs, patronizing prostitutes, during my undergraduate days, I know of Muslim guys that their Muslim girlfriends and fvckmàtes aborted pregnancy for them. Is it ok to pin these vices on all northern Muslims? |

ogaemma: 1. I will advise you to read J. S. TARKAAND ETHNIC MINORITY AGITATIONS AND STRUGGLES IN NIGERIA. That will answer your question about the acidic marginalization the middle belt suffered from the North. They were reduced to a voiceless people.
2. They are kicking against the Tax reforms because they still want to continue to take undue advantage of their size that whatever they agree on must stand. 1. When making a claim, you be able to defend it by highlighting cogent points before referring your audience to read further, you haven't done anything to back your claim that the north was marginalizing middle belt yet making reference, that's a very poor to make an argument. 2. The north is kicking against because it's what they want for themselves, if you want otherwise, push for it, you can't accuse the north of being outspoken and insisting on their points while you lots are quiet and accept anything. |

Politics › Re: Would You Be Able To Explain This Picture Of Nigeria To A Foreigner If Asked? by JagabanBorgu: 3:45pm On Jan 31, 2025 |
ogaemma: Thank you for your thoughts.
1. Joseph Tarka formed the United Middle Belt Congress. He was a transport minister during the Yakubu Gowon government. His political ideology for forming that party was to make the middle belt that was already marginalized by the core North to become politically relevant. Even with the United Middle Belt Congress, the entire middle belt was still part of the North Region.
2. The average Northerner don't really know much about the 1967 map. I so much agree with you on that context. But their elites knows so much about the map. Their elite's know so much secrets about the confederation of Nigeria and it's independence. Till date, they are using it as an advantage over the entire South. Wonder why they all united against the recent Tax reform. They want to continue to cheat the rest of Nigeria. 1. Can you tell us how the north was marginalizing the middle belt? 2. The north is kicking against the reform because the leaders just like the average Nigerian is scared of changing from what they know and are used to. The reform will place more responsibility on them and make life harder for them, that's why Nigerians kicked against subsidy removal, it's for same reason. |

owobokiri: The British really hated the Eastern region with passion. Just take a look at that map. Both from the North and the West.., they made serious efforts to basically carve out everything from the east. Even when thwy conducted elections and head counts, it was the same thing. And they're still on it uptil this day with their internal proxies. Talking about same British that carved other tribes into the Eastern region, other tribes subdued by lgb0s until SS region was formed? |

ogaemma: May God deliver us from Northerner Nigeria. The North cheated the rest of Nigeria right from inception. They still see the old 1967 map that is why they still believe they own this country. The old 1967 map will never be erased from their minds. The best thing is for everyone to go their separate way's. NIGERIA is a big scam. The creation of 36 states cannot change that fact. You can look for a way to go your separate without accusing the north of what you don't know. Before Independence, J.S. Tarka of Benue formed a middle belt political party which I can't remember the full name right now unless I google it to clearly show the north is not as the map shows, somehow, u lots are forcing your ideas on the north, the north where an average Northerner don't really know much about the 1967 map. |

One key characteristics of people down South (SE and SS) to be precise is to ruin their society while blaming others. These folks receive billions upon billions of naira from the government year in year out, yet their society are as good as wrètchèd. Bayelsa has provided a president yet it took a northerner build a bridge for Bonny Island, same Northerner paid their 13% derivation while their Indigene as a president was sleeping and drinking. Politics › Re: Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali Have Left, But Citizens’ Privileges Remain – ECOWAS by JagabanBorgu: 5:16pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
wink2015: ECOWAS know that if they try such thing on citizens from these Francophone countries their government will respond by imposing a NO FLY ZONE across their territory.
Nigeria aircraft destined for Europe can not fly through Niger republic airspace.
And aircraft from Nigeria will have to fly through Benin-Togo-Ghana Airspace passing through Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Gambia to Senegal before crossing to Europe in the Sky.
That will be a very long distance. Somehow your version of ECOWAS happens to be only Nigeria. You think those countries are as f00Iish as most of you think? If they impose a "No fly Zone" on ECOWAS, how will aircraft get into their own country? How will some of import goods or have electricity? All UK's EU's privileges were revoked when it left, same thing should happen to those land-locked state and not appeasing them.
With this position, ECOWAS just signal that it is a completely fruitless organization that offers no advantage to being a member. Any member that also wants to leave can now leave since all their privileges will be maintained. Did you read the part where withdrawal is effective one year after notice? Did you also realize that UK didn't just withdraw but it was on board for some time and a time frame was set? U are all specialists in everything on social media. |
