Direct your anger to the individual next time U are the one dealing with anger. If something is making u angry, take ur sh!.t to where u will see ur level. Bendeco02: Where is your anger coming from?
You don't have sense
Even in Borno, there are still farmers there and it doesn't change the fact that it's risk
The farm activites has reduced in Benue state unlike before. That's the fact
Are you staying in all parts of Benue?
The guy you quoted, am yet to see the identity that made him Igbo.
Don't allow your emotions control you. Do you know howmany attack and killings that has happened in Benue rural areas this year alone?
That you never met bad or evil people doesn't mean they don't exist. Leave Abuja and relocate to one of the Benue rural area then for your farming and stop making noise alaye First and foremost, u are a f00I for addressing me the way u did. If u don't have sense, try to understand the beginning of an argument before jumping into it, not every discussion is meant for children, he knows that I know that he's an lgbo, if u can't find anything that identifies him as an lgbo, that clearly shows this discussion is above ur wits, run along and look for ur level. |

Mrfeel: I don't understand why you are ranting on something you have little knowledge of you think I'm talking out of hate for benue people which is far from it , I know benue more than you will ever know
Zaki biam is not what it used to be, I'm not saying yams are not sold there, I'm saying not like before when 200 to 300 trailer load of yams left Zaki biam market on a daily basis , the late Terwase Akwaza aka GANA who terrorized 3 local government , Katsina ala , ukum and logo destroyed that market they killed alot of traders and traditional chiefs not just in ukum where that market is located but in logo and Katsina ala too , igbo trader who where the major traders in that market some were killed some were kidnapped for ransom most of them relocated to gboko after that, even though GANA was killed by the army his boys are still operating in those areas, alot of soldiers were deployed there those solder's starting shooting young men anyhow accusing them to be members of GANA group or informate , majority of the young men who were great farmers left ukum because of that
Besides that the culture of farming in benue state itself is not like it used to be in the 90s or early 2000s it has changed especially amongst the Tiv young men , most of them prefer to ride okada for a living these days, some of them prefer to travel out of benue to work on other peoples farms or Coco plantations in Yorubaland , Benin or taraba state they sign yearly contracts and are paid at the end of the year, some of them cross into Cameroon by foot from abande in kwande local government
I have no reason to hate benue people, I was born and raised in Tivland in the village , Tiv language is my first language, I speak Tiv more than igbo or English, my mom is Tiv You know Benue more than me whereas I have part of my roots in Benue? When I personally have farms in Benue, I do alot of agric business with Benue, you possibly can't know the landscape better than me. I have been to all 23 Local govt in Benue repeatedly for that matter. I like the fact that you have started fine tuning your argument, unlike your initial statement that said "...farmers no longer go to farm...", "...Igbo traders no longer go there..." These were your statements from your reply to someone who said Zaki Biam is still the largest yam market in the world, I replied you based on that not based on "hàtè" theory like u are insinuating. It has always been known that the Tiv man always travel and return to his farm when the time is due, all what u listed are not new occurrences and the drop in farming in Benue State is not because of insecurity rather lack of capital as farming is becoming more expensive than it was in the 90's and 2000's. You can't stay here and pretend that Benue is no longer farming when we all know that the SE and part of SS depends heavily on their products to get by. Traders from different countries like Cameroon, Benin etc still come to buy stuffs from Benue even garri. |

tungamaje: What I mean is that despite the so called millions we spend to build the infrastructures to boost tourism, foreigners haven't been coming. But you compared a saner South Africa to Nigeria where even villagers are taxed so as to raise money to settle bandits and kidnappers. while you would be holding your breath while traveling because those men can easily come out of the bush and take you. So first sort insecurity problems before investing in white elephant projects First and foremost, we haven't spent any millions on tourism, we basically let our tourist attractions sight rot, that's what is kiIIing our tourism not insecurity, if South Africa where single mothers sleeping in their homes are not safe can have tourists, then we can, the difference between us and them is because they have infrastructures and services around tourist attractions unlike us where places like Yankari game reserves, Ikogosi spring, the beach in Akwa Ibom, the hills of Enugu, cattle ranch in Calabar etc have poor services. The problem is poor services and infrastructures not security, try rest. If South Africans see u calling their country sane country, they wiII know u are really daft. Every sh!.t happening in Nigeria happens in South Africa, even in ur house, u are not safe in South Africa from village to cities, leaving your home in the early hours of the day is a huge risk in SA yet tourists go there. I know you haven't travelled before to see things for yourself, it was folks like u who were projecting Ghana that they had 10 years of no blackout whereas they were battling with electricity issues, now you have started with South Africa. Yesterday, someone who returned from Portugal was Iying to a group of young men that there's abundant job in Portugal whereas the reality is that Portuguese are leaving their country in search of jobs and better life in other countries in Europe. |

Countries are looking for profitable relationships, Nigerians are talking about relationship with a liability called Niger. If not that the average Nigerian is so biased for tribal and religious reasons, I thought Buhari was àbûsed for "wasting public funds" on Niger? He was criticized for the Maradi railway every single opportunity, today, same sentiments has blinded the average Nigerian and all of a sudden, Niger is now a country we should be pursuing peace with like a relationship with them has ever been profitable. |

10thTenthMan: “…that benefit from….”, please.
The hotels and resorts and clubs that make significant benefits and feel the real positive impacts are. They are connected one way or another to the seat of power in some way. Either through friendships, bribes, other form of networking.
Yes. Your currency has been scare mostly every December /towards the end of the year since 3-4 years ago, especially after the new naira notes saga. Even the dead are in a place but are not conscious of the things around them. Zombies too. The uneducated and unenlightened may also be too stupid to notice or to daft to comprehend. So for those who do not notice, it could be due to many factors.
And to those that feel they need to willfully deny facts because “THEY WANT TO BE PATRIOTIC”, it is a fact that Nigeria is a wonderful place. An enjoyable place. But has its undeniable issues and challenges like everywhere else that require progressive acknowledgement of the issues and fixing these.
Yes o, I must write even when I don’t have anything to write because I CHOOSE TO. Nothing anyone can do about it. If anyone thinks that he/she can do anything beyond online insults then I quadruple dare anyone to the beginning of their ancestors to try to do something. It will and can only end in online insults and name calling. Nothing more. This is my own contribution to the matter. "...has been scarce mostly..." Thank you. "...too daft to comprehend..." Thank you. Use three dots for ellipsis when writing an incomplete statement. Lesson: when trying to correct English Language, make sure you are flawless, but you are terribly flawed, even your punctuation is pathetic. Back to the issue, seems the dead are more aware of their environment than you are, the unintelligent and unenlightened actually seem to understand the environment more than you do, creating lies that are non existent about cash being scarce every December, change of naira note occured last year 2023 and December last year didn't experience scarcity of cash. I see you are not even aware of your environment that's why you don't have the slightest idea that old notes projected to be phased out this year all these while is being withdrawn from circulation and to make that possible, cash were not released to make those keeping stash of cash of bring out so it can find it's way to the bank. I'm sure you are alive, intelligent and informed that you don't even know about this. The only thing you lots are good at is talk without thinking. First and foremost, nobody actually cares about a IowIife like u, that part is established, maybe you should double dare ur ancestors to give you a better life so u can be sensible at least, that's for starters, do I actually have to remind you that not all name calling ends online? So many are in the police net languishing because of it, just an advice Incase you leave a faceless forum like Nairaland to go and call names thinking it will end online, because it only end online on Nairaland, when it spills offline, your ancestors don't have what it takes to defend you. Just a piece of advice. If you are so intelligent and informed, you should have known that already. |

10thTenthMan: Lol,
I fear that the Nigerian predatory system will wreck, tax, extort and kill these soon. One person in government will soon devise a means to extort the opportunities and drive it to the ground.
Especially, if the business is set up by the common man that is not connected to Alausa or Aso Rock.
But if we can have sense and make the best of the opportunity, Nigeria will do wonders. Detty Dec., will hopefully compete with Ibiza and Tomorrowland.
A country where it’s own currency is scarce for its own people every December… As usual, come up with a meaningless post. So all the cabs, hotels, suya spots, clubs etc etc that benefits from this are connected to "Alausa" or "Aso Rock" before they are operating? Must you guys write when you don't have anything to write? Our own currency is scarce every December?
